sooo delicious!! Stopped for a quick lunch bite and I decided to get the soup of the day which was super huge for the amount I paid AND the tostones were the size of my head. I love this place! Family owned so everyone is every sweet and attentive. All pasties are Home made and fresh every morning. New favorite little corner in pines!

Cuban coffee and sandwich were amazing! Great flavored picadillo as well. Was hoping for some pastelitos which they say they have on certain days.

This restaurant is small and very homelike. Their service is excellent and their food is delicious. We ate the Bandeja Montañera and the Sancocho de Cola. It was huge!

Pretty empty display I panicked a bit.

After searching Colombian bakeries in my area this was my second stop because the first bakery shut down. It's an easy drive on Johnson St and not a bad bakery at all. I was a little disappointed that they did not have any pan de bono, but she did offer a fresh baked cheesy loaf which wasn't bad. The empanadas are very crispy and delicious however not stuffed like your typical Colombian empanadas. The service was friendly and fast I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if I'm in the area I wouldn't mind having a bite here.

    Empanadas

I ran across this place on yelp when I looked up a Colombian spot because I was craving some Colombian empanadas and my usual one was closed. I called and placed an order over the phone to pickup some Colombian empanadas. It took me about 10 min to get there and when I got there they had just started making them (not sure why?). The place is a small little spot in a small plaza. The area isn't the nicest either. After waiting a while they finally brought me my order. I ordered 10 Colombian empanadas and they gave me one small container of the spicy sauce (picante) which was disappointing. However, the spicy sauce wasn't the typical colombian one I was used to so it didn't really matter how much they gave me as I didn't enjoy it. The overall flavor of the empanadas were OK at most. They were extremely crispy, which some people may like. I'd say they were decent enough to satisfy a craving if no other Colombian spots are open or nearby but not good enough to specifically pick this place. I had brought some to some family members who had never tried colombian empanadas before and they said it was alright. I didn't try the entrees so I can't rate on that. The service was just OK. They weren't great but also not horrible.

muy deliciosa comida (very delicious Food) beautiful women, fast-friendly service!!! Bandeja Paisa is prepared perfectly

Food is NOT good. The steaks are dry, overcooked, and thin. No flavor!!!!! Burnt corn cake .. yuck.. I don't recommend this place.

I don't want this and she's like well too bad you ordered it you had there's nothing I can do and then when you receive your check and ask why the difference in price they respond well that's just how much we charge so when you asked to speak to management, they say oh your server should've told you we'll just take it from their pay and then they tell the server in front of you you're gonna have to pay for this. It's a really awkward situation and not fair. Not to mention that our waitress was coughing and sneezing with a runny nose, her wiping her nose and then grabbing the pen to hand it to me to sign the receipt. It's just very unsanitary and the management is there watching it and doesn't say anything either so maybe it's me We definitely won't be coming back here again.

We stopped in at Tardes Calenas. We were greeted promptly and seated. The young lady took our order and brought the drinks quickly. We ordered empanadas to start- they were pretty good. My husband and I shared a bandeja paisa. The steak was good, the rest was a little bland. They had good music playing and seems like the night was just getting started.

With just the right amount of coconut and freshly squeezed lime it's the perfect drink to cool you off. I ordered the fried egg stuffed arepa, hmmmm very tasty! I then tried their beef empanada with their home made salsa. Best Colombian empanada I've ever had! The perfect crunch on the outside and mouth watering flavor on the inside. My husband ordered the mini bandeja paisa which includes rice, red beans, ground beef, fried pork belly, sausage, sweet plantain, a fried egg and a small arepa.... need I say more! It's a party of flavors in your mouth! I will come back to order their other menu items and two more coconut lemonades as mentioned in the Miami.com article, "you will never look twice at a regular lemonade again!" http://www.miami.com/things-to-do-in-miami/yellow-green-farmers-market-is-in-broward-but-its-totally-worth-the-drive-miami-188855/

The Yellow Green Farmers Market is a foodie paradise with lots of food to choose from. Today, we…read moretried Pasabocas de Colombia because the pictures we saw on their menu were just too good to pass on. As a starter we tried the Spinach empanada and the beef empanada. They were so fresh and steamy on the inside. If you're not familiar with Colombian empanadas, the batter is potato based and the filling has some chunks of potato in it. It is amazing! I've had a lot of different types of empanadas in my day and these are my absolute favorite! They are just so flavorful and the texture is so heavenly, it's a party in your mouth. The only problem is that as soon as I finish one, I immediately want another. They just go down so easily, I think it's because the batter is light and flaky compared to others. Ok, enough talk about the empanadas, I realize I'm starting to sound crazy... but I just love them so much! We also had a papa rellena, stuffed potato with a rice and ground beef filling. This also had a nice flaky crust and lots of flavor. As our main meal we had an egg stuffed arepa and a mini bandeja paisa. The egg stuffed arepa was good but the bandeja paisa was even better. It's a bowl with rice, saucy red beans, a small arepa, sausage, chicharrón, beef, a sweet plantain slice and why not? A beautiful fried egg on top! phew! I know it's a mouthful. It's comfort food in a perfect package. Honestly, I tasted only about half of the meats because my hubby scarfed it down way too fast. But I sopped up the saucy rice and beans with the arepa and was a happy camper. Lastly, I drank a coconut lemonade which was so refreshing that I even got another one to go. I will absolutely be making this one of my new go to places!
