I have to say I was pretty impressed by our stay here…read more We were just in town for the night to visit some friends while we were doing some other shit in the area. GF and I were arriving separately and they were easily able to accommodate her arriving before I and checking in even though I made the reservation. They have what I assume is free parking, unless it was baked into the bill somewhere, which I didn't automatically expect. The location is pretty good, right at the end of Shrewsbury street and within a few minute walk of restaurants and Wormtown. The room was really big and had a kitchenette which was fucking adorable. The bathroom was lovely. The bed was comfortable. The view was pretty good too. I thought I heard footsteps at one point in the morning coming from the room above but I could have been dreaming. Nothing ear plugs didn't fix. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the AC Hotel by Marriott in downtown Worcester for a work event at the Convention Center,…read morewhich is less than a mile away, about a 15-minute walk. I stayed for one night on a Friday. The cost for one night was about $440, which was very expensive for a basic hotel in a small city. The parking garage is underneath the hotel, so you need to take an elevator upstairs to get to the lobby. This normally would not have been an issue, but I had several boxes to bring in for the event. Since it was raining, I would have preferred to pull up to the entrance to unload, but there was very limited space to stop, with only one or two uncovered spots. Check-in was quick, and I was given the option of a room on a higher or lower floor. There was also a wedding at the hotel that evening, but aside from seeing a few well-dressed guests, I would not have known as I heard no additional noise from my room throughout the night. I did not visit the gym or restaurant, but there was a water and ice machine on my floor. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The temperature was also easy to control. My only complaint was a small light in the room that flashed throughout the night. I am not sure if it was a security sensor or part of the fire or smoke detector, but it was distracting and irritating when I was trying to fall asleep. I was able to print some pages free of charge at the lobby computers, and I had some boxes I needed picked up from FedEx, so was easily about the schedule the pickup and the front desk held them until FedEx arrived. Overall, it was a fine stay and a convenient location for the Convention Center. Besides the cost, I would consider staying here again if I found myself in Worcester.

It's obvious that the carpet is old, and I mean OLD, but a vacuum is not good enough for dirt from 1986. Steam clean it, it's gross. We were sent to room 136. I have no idea how long this room had been vacant, but we found an old, open, completely dried/petrified jar of baby food on top of the microwave, a ball of hair stuck in the tub drain, some sort of (food? Coffee? vomit?) muck on the wall above the desk, some kind of reddish slime in the permafrost inside the freezer, and clearly non-vacuumed floors. We were horrified. In my shock, I neglected to photograph the baby food jar or the hair ball, instead taking the jar directly to the front desk and complaining. The person at the desk threw it away and said he would send the maid. I asked my husband if we should find another hotel, but it was after a long day of moving boxes, and we are not young, and we were exhausted so he said let's just tough it out tonight and find a new place tomorrow. Went to the car and got our bags. When we came back into the room someone had removed the hairball and left a wad of wet toilet paper on the sink. My husband looked further around the room and began pointing other things out; after opening the window he discovered the entire window frame filled with mud and assorted dead bugs, there was a (toe? finger?) nail on the floor, other assorted stains on other areas of the walls, etc. Needless to say we found another hotel. Please do not stay here. They should be ashamed.

The location is very convenient with the parking garage being right across the street. I was amazed with how fast the elevators were, I did not wait more than 1 minute for an elevator to come and that's pushing it! All the staff were friendly and personable; I especially loved the staff working the breakfast! My room was clean, I love, love, love how the TV said "Welcome Tina" I video chatted my hubby and showed him, he loved it too!! I got to see my cats on this chat as well, I'm not sure if I missed them or my hubby more... don't tell him that! The hotel does allow pets although my babies get sick in the car... YUCK! The bed was comfortable and the room had a cozy chair which was perfect for my reading! The room did have a strange smell which was less than pleasant, may be due from housekeeping only coming every other day. This really boils down to people being dirty, not showering, and probably not wiping correctly if you know what I mean......... I used an essential oil diffuser to make my nose just a little bit happier! My room would not go colder than 68 degrees which is a little too hot for me, but I managed. Other than the smell and temperature this hotel was as the kids would say now.... Da Bomb!
