You can park in front of the hotel while you check in and grab a few bags. It's highly recommended that you park then go to the room after check in . The hotel had the lobby decorated for the Scream Conn event. You can take your picture and use different props for that terrifying scene that you will need to remember this epic moment always. The room was a double standard room with two beds. It was clean and comfortable. The room will accommodate what you need for the convention . As a bonus this hotel and most of the rooms could use a redo and make over. For what we need it's perfect. It's a nice comfortable place to sleep that has a place to shower and is close to the venue. One does not worry about their safety either. It's super quiet . The beds snuggle you down and hold you as you drift to dreamland. Take my hand as we go through our journey and wind down for the day . Tomorrow is another day of screams and terrifying thoughts at the convention . Go to sleep and enjoy your nightmares until the morning comes. No matter what happens for your tomorrow we are going forward. This hotel can accommodate what you need for your stay . Hockey Tournament We couldn't have asked for a better hotel to host our three teams (U14, U12, U10) We travels with the whole family and my son plays on the U12 team. The hotel gave us designated areas to hang out and let the kids play knee hockey. They couldn't have been nicer. Some hotels are not the fondest of hockey tournament teams. Our kids are respectful and followed their rules. My husband called the night before and asked if they had any bigger rooms that could accommodate our family of 5 and they offered a suite. They even gave us the group rate despite it being well past the booking date, which I thought was great. Our blinds were broken but as soon as I informed the front desk, it was fixed immediately! At one point, my son lost his phone (distracted by an intense game of knee hockey ). We didn't realize until the next day. The front desk found it and kept it safe along with some other lost items from the kids. There were places for us to eat, hang out, bring food in. It was a great stay. The pool was great too. The hot tub wasn't working but it didn't impact us. These things happen. The floor by the pool was very slippery so I would recommend putting something down to help with that but that wasn't a deal breaker. My friends, family and I stayed here and when we were quietly walking down the hallway the manager came to us and screamed at us because we were too loud. There was a group of hockey players and they were being loud, but we were approached even after they quieted down and went to their rooms. An older woman came to us and was screaming cuss words at my 7-12 year old kids and the manager saw this and did nothing to stop it. My kids came to me crying hysterically. It was heartbreaking to know that the MANAGER did nothing. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not stay here. read more

2nd time staying at the Worcester garden inn for NYE. The incidental fee has now gone up to $100 from $50 the previous year(2022). Check in was easier as we arrived the Saturday prior to NYE, and our room was ready right on time. Parking is located across the street in the parking garage and is 11.95 per night. The hotel gave us a validated ticket upon check in so we could come and go as we please which was very helpful. Room was clean and tidy as always. The thermostat was set to a high heat temperature and was very easy to adjust and make a comfortable sleeping temperature. Only complaint from the room , we had a king bed room was that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so when you shower it turned into a steamy hot room, so the door had to be left open. Additionally the wallpaper definitely needed to be redone as it was peeling off from the humidity caused by the steam from the shower. The breakfast buffet should have been included within our stay but it was not for some reason. We were charged $16.95 for a very subpar breakfast bar which was very frustrating. read more

I was visiting Worcester for the day/night to catch up with some old friends. I will admit that reviews for this place leave a lil something to be desired so I was hesitant to book here. It was the most reasonably priced place that allowed both of our dogs so I had to take the plunge and hope for the best. I don't want to give any spoilers for the rest of the review but I will start off by saying that all in all, things went better than the reviews would lead you to expect. Things started off a bit rocky, though. Marriott typically asks me if I would like to add another guest to the reservation while I'm booking and I ALWAYS do so even though my partner and I arrive together under almost every single circumstance. This was a highly unusual situation where I was getting my hair done in Natick and my partner was going to check in and chill in the hotel until I finished. If Hilton had asked when I made this booking, I definitely would have added her but I didn't remember doing so. After she dropped me off at the hair place and headed over to check in, I double checked the reservation and there were no guests. Panic set in because you know I would be in deep shit if she arrived and couldn't check in. I frantically called Hilton to sort this out. I'm a diamond member so if they know what's good for them, they would take care of me. As expected, the Hilton man I spoke to sorted it all out and added GF's name to the reservation. He assured me everything would be ok for her to check in. As things typically go, she called me, PISSED because they weren't letting her check in. Now I'm pissed. I call hilton AGAIN, my phone bumping into and crinkling all of the tin foil that has accumulated around my strands. They put me on hold for quite a while. Beads of sweat formed between the tin foil as I was reading GF's annoyed texts on my watch and simultaneously speaking with the Hilton people on the phone. After a suspenseful five or ten minutes, everything was worked out and she was able to check in. The parking is across the street and requires crossing a busy intersection to get to but after that it's pretty convenient. For better or for worse, no key card is required to use the elevator. It's certainly more convenient but raises questions about security. Worcester never struck me as a particularly low crime area. Regarding our room, it was quite spacious and comfortable. The bed was INCREDIBLE. I could live on that thing. The towels were also very soft. The shower was amazing. The toilet could take a real beating and escape unscathed with the power of that flush. It's pretty close to the DCU center and within a little bit of a walk from a bunch of restaurants and other things to do. I'd stay here again. read more

Stayed here for a wedding this past weekend and all the staff was wonderful. We had two rooms and they were able to get us into one early so we could hang out while we waited for the other to be ready. At 4:00, the actual checkin time, they were able to get us into the other room, which is fine, it's unreasonable to demand to get in before checkin time, that's not how this works despite what some people think. There was a long line of wedding guests checking in at 4 but the front desk moved through them all with a smile on their face even though some of the guests were rather difficult - being overly demanding or using the front desk as their personal dry cleaners. But the front desk did what they needed to do to check everyone in and got through the line and we were able to get the other room. Once we checked in, rooms were clean, bed was comfy, everything was awesome. Breakfast on Sunday was good as was the catered brunch on Monday morning at the hotel. Apparently there was a really noisy obnoxious football team Friday night but we missed that. And the people I heard it from didn't complain to the front desk so how were they supposed to know? Can't really hold that against them especially as it's hearsay. Be warned the train comes by the tracks a few times a day and it's loud but what do you expect when booking a hotel near train tracks? read more

Let me start by saying I am a diamond member with Hilton and their offered services throughout the years is what has brought me back despite cheaper costs off Airbnb type services. THIS location however, contradicts my previous experiences. When calling to inquire about long term stays at this location, I was put on hold for 10 minutes while she "talked amongst her colleagues". During this time she came back on the line to ask "and why is it you'd be staying with us?" I said do you ask all your guests this?? To which she said "well, due to the nature of your stay..." travel-work/ workers is a thing I'd expect any hotel staff to be well versed in but especially when that's exactly where I got my diamond member status from from over 90 stays with this company. Asking me such questions you would never ask any other member or customer is wrong and dehumanizing. After being placed on 'hold' again, where I could hear multiple employees discussing me, a new lady came onto the line simply saying hello?? Can I help you?? -_- The answer is simple: NO. Clean and comfortable and not located within walking distance of much. They do have an attached restaurant. My room on the 7th floor was large and faced the street. Nice desk space, flat panel television, Keurig coffee machine and a mini-fridge. Plenty of towels and enough space to spread out all the papers that I was working on for the one night. I thought that the bed was a little soft. (If HGI has the adjustable beds, I missed that.) Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Water pressure and hot water was great. Yes, there were a few sirens and at least one train passed by. I did not notice any more noise after about 8pm though. I did not park a car.. Great location to the DCU Center. When I arrived, they had just started their manager's reception. I think they only do this once a week. Free wine and beer along with some snacks which included pizza. There's a restaurant attached which I believe is still Pizzeria Uno's. My room was very nice and the Hilton app let's me check in and pick out the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were modern. They also have a very nice fitness center on the first floor. Breakfast is also downstairs in the lobby area. They have a nice buffet, but also make omelettes. I believe there is a charge for breakfast if you don't have HHonors Diamond status or opt to include in your profile. The staff was very nice---- easy in and out. read more

At 9:14 pm I was called and was told my dogs were barking. I tried to talk to Kay or Kat to tell and explain to her that my dogs are therapy dogs and they don't bark for no reason. I went downstairs and spoke to a nice lady, confirmed with her that my dogs don't bark unless something is going on, someone was slamming doors on floor 7. The best part about this hotel is the location. If you want to attend an event at the DCU or the Palladium, it is literally right there. There's a great Mexican restaurant across the street and a new nose attached to the hotel. The rooms are OK. Smaller than most but fairly clean. A little bit dated. Hotel staff were accommodating of request for extra towels and blankets. Room service is by request so if you would like it, make sure to ask. Otherwise, they clean the room every five days. The worst part about this particular location is there's nowhere to go for breakfast, so you're sort of captive to the hotels "Buffet". for $17 you pretty much get continental breakfast. you do have the option of purchasing à la carte breakfast, but it feels like the restaurant knows you don't have any other options in the morning so they're going to charge you what they can considering humans will probably need to eat some thing eventually. I ended up forking over 17 bucks each morning to get our daughter a bagel and some Froot Loops. You could also get scrambled eggs that came out of a box or bacon and sausage. I suppose it's a little bit more than continental breakfast, but still just feels like a purposely jacked up price. would be great if they would consider a kids price for the buffet so you're not forking over essentially $10 for a somewhat stale bagel and another $10 for a little bowl of Froot Loops. or maybe add a waffle maker to that thing? Anything to make it a little more worth the price? parking is $11 a day if you're staying at the hotel instead of $20 a day if you were not. read more

My 60 year old male boss had to spend the night IN A FEMALE SUBORDINATE'S ROOM. Highly inappropriate. Hotel did not care, made no effort to help. Do not stay in room 616! I really need to focus on one thing, and that one thing is the shower experience that both me and my husband had this morning. We were in room 616 and I would not recommend this room to anyone. It is an ADA accessible room with an ADA shower. The showerhead was installed on the long wall of the shower or basically the wall you're looking at when you pull open the shower curtain. It's one of those handheld shower heads that you basically had to hold in your hand to rinse yourself off with because otherwise water is spraying out onto the floor since it was installed. So after getting over the weirdness of that, I turned on the water and stood in the tub waiting for it to get warm. While I'm standing there I'm overwhelmed by an awful, strong, mildew smell. I thought it was coming from the shower curtain but that was perfectly clean. It's coming from the shower head. I added a photo of that in which every single one of the jets had salmon colored mildew growing in them so as the water was coming out of the shower head it is releasing that smell. After about five minutes I was used to the smell and didn't smell it anymore. The absolute worst part was that the shower was only lukewarm. The water on-off handle was installed improperly. As a result, you can only turn the faucet to the middle. To explain this better, the cold is at 3 o'clock, hot is at 9 o'clock and you can only turn the lever to 12 o'clock. So we cranked on it really hard and probably bent the plastic discs in the faucet to get it to go to about 11:45 (see photo). After I shivered through a lukewarm, mildew shower, I ended up having to help my husband with his shower by filling up the sink with hot water and bringing cups of it over to the shower/tub as well as soaping up a washcloth with hot water from the sink and bringing it over. That bathroom was a mess when we were done with it.. To the hotel's credit, our room was refunded. read more

The service at this hotel is beyond horrible. I made a reservation in November, locking in a certain rate for three nights. Upon checkin, they doubled my rate. I inquired and was told I had to speak with the manager in the morning. The manager told me my account would be adjusted at checkout. Upon checkout, I was charged almost double, and it appeared the manager only adjusted one of three nights. The other two nights were more than double the rate at which I had originally booked. I then called the general Hilton 800 number and they agreed that I was completely overcharged and the clerk created a claim dispute for me that he explained would go straight to the hotel manager Monday morning. Two days later, having heard nothing, I call to follow up and was told by an extremely rude person at the front desk ( this was the third rude desk clerk I encountered) that It was my responsibility to call the general manager. She put me through to Casey whose phone ( at 4:15 on a week day) rang and rang until I received a message that said the recipient's voicemail box was full and no longer accepting messages. I call back again. I speak to the rude person at the desk and she informs me that she has no idea when Casey will be in because he is the general manager and does not inform them if his schedule. She said she had no idea when I would be phoned back. Next on to the room. Absolutely pathetic beds. The worst, old droopy saggy broken spring beds I have encountered at a hotel. I slept maybe two hours each night. A two queen bed room, reserved for two adults and one child, and when we arrive, two towels total. One bar of soap. Had to call down for more supplies. The only positives about the room were: good shower water pressure, ( although the toilet seat was broken), and room was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator and a keurig. There was a bus parked in front of the hotel at the time of checkin and we had no ability to park and unload our luggage. This is not the type of hotel with bellhops. There was snow piled up on the side of the curb so it was impossible to parallel park. We had to haul our luggage from the garage. The room key did not work when I got to my room, had to go back to the desk to the rude desk clerk. The garage pass did not work. The garage was at capacity when we arrived Thursday night and we had absolutely nowhere to park. The only positive experience we had was the breakfast restaurant- the staff there was absolutely delightful. I had another reservation at this hotel for this coming May. I have cancelled it and will instead stay at the AC Marriott instead. Avoid this atrocious hotel at all costs. I found this hotel to be clean. The employee were nice. The room I stayed in was in good shape and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. There was a nice workstation in the room. Internet was free The bathroom was clean. The property seemed to be in good condition. I have no complaints about the room, hotel building, or employees. The negatives were no free breakfast, an additional charge to park across the street in the garage, I stayed for four nights and there was no cleaning of my room. No new towels, no emptying of the trash. They tell you to call to set up your room service. They don't offer daily service. I don't like this new trend with hotels. I travel frequently for work and have stayed at many hotels. I have been to this hotel one other time in which my experience was great. This experience was not so good starting with the fact that I booked a King room and paid in advance and when I went to check in was told that this hotel always over sells the rooms and they have to give rooms away based on availability. To make matters worse, Max who was working the front desk and relayed this information was extremely unpleasant nor seemed to care about the room situation. He did nothing to try and accommodate and by all means, I was NOT looking for something for nothing. He simply took my ID, credit card handed me my key and that was the end of it all. I dont like to make a fuss about alot but from one business traveler to another, you probably will not get what you pay for based on the comment I received. read more

Stayed here on business, on the customers dime. My impression is that this is a three-star hotel acting at times like it's a four-star, and in the process, leaving a two-star impression. Mostly this showed in the customer service, which was a little snooty, but otherwise indifferent. The room was initially musty, but the HVAC took care of that. The king bed was very comfortable. Good TV, fridge, microwave, keurig machine in the room; the shower was also very good. An Uno's restaurant is on site, and there is parking in the garage across the street. Breakfast is not complimentary; $13 per person. You're better off eating at one of the many Worcester car diners in the area. No coffee service in the lobby; I suppose the Keurig is supposed to make up for that. You could do far worse than to stay here; I'm just annoyed by the attitude of the place. read more

I stayed here for 2 nights while attending a convention at the DCU Center next door. The hotel is standard but fine for what it is. You can walk across the street to the DCU Center, walk 3 blocks to Starbucks or dine at Uno's (attached to hotel). I did not dine in the hotel dining area. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable (although they did not inform me they have Uno's in the hotel). There is coffee, tea and lemon-lime ice water always available in the hotel lobby. Standard room was--well--a standard room. I did appreciate the in room Keurig machine. The TV also has a multitude of channels. Parking is across the street for $10/day. There is no real place to "drop off" you luggage so many (including myself) walked with our luggage from the parking garage. Overall, for a business hotel where I needed it, I found it--well--standard. If I have another convention at the DCU Center, I would stay there again. read more
