so my room was supposed to be $288 because I booked it from a hotel app. They and come to find out when I mentioned to them about the pool. They never to mention that the closed. The only reason people stay at this hotel is for the hot tub in the pool if you're not gonna have that, you either need to post it on your website or you need to give a discount. I'm sorry I'm really pissed like if you're not gonna have the basic amenity that people come to your hotel for then you should not be charging a tax to stay here. read more

I spent four nights. All was good. Located near I-495 but you don't hear it, in fact rather peaceful at night. Room was clean, bed was comfy, everything in the bathroom worked. I would like to thank Patrick, at the front desk, for this assistance last night. My daughter, granddaughter & I stayed in adjoining rooms when our 17 month old went into the room & closed the door locking her on the room. We thought it would be an easy fix to unlock the door with the key card and get her out but the key did not work. The master didn't work, changing the battery in the door, didn't work. We had to call the fire department to get her out. All through the chaos Patrick remained composed, all though nervous of the outcome, he remained steadfast in trying to resolve the matter. Management was a no show to give the young man assistance. I strongly suggest those old locks be replaced along with the antiquated furniture & beds that were not great to sleep on. AWFUL!!!!! For starters, our reservations were messed up as soon as we got here. Our room was assigned to someone else, so we walked in to sleeping people (after already having checked in and coming back). When we went to the front desk they said "sorry, we have a new system". Didn't even give us a refund and actually asked if we wanted the other people removed before offering a new room... aside from that, the building is also currently surrounded by cops for a reason they won't tell us, as they are "taking care of it" but cops are sitting in the lobby questioning guests. Pool is closed. Toilets and outlets in our room are not working. Hmm what else. Oh maybe the group of people above our room that have decided to perform a new dance routine with their boombox at 11:30pm. I can't tell if they're getting really into their dance or trying to come down the first floor by putting their foot through the floor. We complained and requested the front desk to ask them to shut the music off and stop jumping - but like everything else that's wrong here, they did nothing and blamed "oh it's kids". Stayed here for four nights for work and I really enjoyed my time. I was warmly greeted by John at the check in desk. I could tell he was a little tired and overwhelmed as there were a lot of us checking in, but he took the time to really help me check in. The confirmation number I had was incorrect and the name I had the reservation under was incorrect. Finally after some digging John was able to find my reservation. He gave me my key, breakfast info, and allowed me to leave a key for my roommate. He also told me that the equipment for my event was here and I was able to pass that on to my manager. The rooms were very nice with the beds being uber comfortable. The room gave me and my roomie enough space to spread out and have our own space. The service our rooms received was great as well. My roomie needed extra towels and got them and I needed more toiletries and got them--no questions asked. Breakfast was just amazing with a diverse choice of bagels, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal with the fixings, milk, scrambled eggs, meat, and omelettes. Wow! And to top it off they had real cinnamon bun cinnamon rolls!! I held out until the third day until I got one and took a second on my last day. My experience got even better on the last day as I woke up with severe stomach trouble and the staff allowed me to check out late and stay in the lobby while I waited for my coworker and ride to finish work. We needed to book a hotel near a wedding venue that we needed to attend. We found this place really cheap via a discount website. We booked it for a night. The location was kind of cool and weird; it was on a huge hill with nice views of the trees. It's fall so the leaves were turning colors of vivid orange, reds, and browns. We were on the fourth floor and the check in process was easy. The room was clean and it had the usual television, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig machine. The shower had a nice pressure and hot water. I had to deduct a star because the walls were paper thin. Also, there's a door connecting to the room next door. It would have been fine but the a-holes next door were super loud at 7 a.m. the next morning. They were talking loudly and crunching on plastic, what it sounded like. They also had their alarm run for an hour. So I recommend bringing ear plugs! Overall, it's a decent hotel besides the loud and rude neighbors. They also serve continental breakfast. read more

Needs refreshing. The carpet in my room had an unidentified stickiness to it which was gross. Thin floors and ceilings - you hear everything from other rooms. Couldn't get wifi to work. Zero recognition as platinum member and not even a bottle of water at check in let alone upgrade. Front desk staff was professional and pleasant. read more

A big shout out to martha and her staff as a hosted my youth group on our annual mission trip. A big welcome sign when we arrived, everything in order and ready to go, wonderful service for the days we were there. The rooms were immaculate, as was the common area. Nice pool, just the right size for a youth group and security on the floors to be sure we were safe. Big shout out! Thank you, Martha, for going above and beyond for my youth group. We visit this area of Massachusetts pretty often as we have family in the area. Pros: Most of the staff we met were great! Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! Cons: The doors to the rooms seemed a bit wonky. I watched an older couple literally trying to kick their door in to regain access to their room. Our door when it closed did not automatically lock. We had to pull it tightly to ensure it latched, but when locked it had a lot of "play" so it didn't feel locked. We mentioned it to the staff at the front desk and she gave me an attitude and said that is how the door should be. The attitude was not necessary nor appreciated it. read more

The housekeeping staff at this Holiday Inn Express is to be commended. Actually they should be training the housekeeping staff at other local Holiday Inns - for example the Holiday Inn in Taunton, Ma. It was impossible to find dust/dirt in any part of the room, hallways, elevator, or the lobby. In these Covid times their hard work is greatly appreciated. The front desk staff is more than professional and friendly. I would defiantly recommend this location - please keep in mind the grounds are lacking, but neatly maintained. This is a pet friendly hotel and the staff made my dog and I feel more than welcome. ( My only negative comment is that it was difficult to walk my dog due to the lack of grounds. Plenty of asphalt, not much grass.) I skipped the free breakfast , so I have no idea how good or bad it is. read more

Went here with my family. This is an AWESOME hotel!!!!! The staff is so nice! I felt really safe in the room. There was no bugs or mold. The beds were really comfy! The AC is not that good. Of the many hotels in Milford, Massachusetts I chose the worst one. I checked in 09/18/2021. The woman working the check in desk was working alone and clearly swamped with check ins. I had to return to the desk because the keys did not work on our door. The gentleman in front of me was visiting from another country, his reservation could not be found. The desk clerk was so kind and thoughtful. Eventually she got it all worked out for him. She programmed two new keys, they did not work, I went back down. Then two more keys. Upon seeing me again she said "are you kidding me", we both laughed. I told her that I had cancelled the 17th and 20th but they still showed on my reservation. She told me she would handle it later. She walked me back upstairs and used her master key to let us in. We were keyless, but exhausted. She was truly wonderful. Very kind to everyone. Around midnight another guest opened our door, but the upper lock prevented him from entering. Poor guy, I shouted so loudly his ears were probably still ringing the next day. So here is the next day. The General manager was working the front desk that morning. He gave us keys that actually worked. He said it was caused by a computer glitch. I asked him if our reservation had been cancelled for 17 and 20. I explained my thoughts that the woman working the previous evening probably forgot. He smirked and said I have you here for three nights. I told him I was in Wells, Maine the night of the 17th. He said I have you here on the 17th. I said I wasn't here that date. He said it shows you here. We went round and round for a minute. He finally said it was a computer glitch. I asked him to remove the 17th and 20th. He refused. When I checked out Monday morning the young woman said I owed for 4 nights. I told her I cancelled. She removed the charges from my receipt. However, my credit card shows I was billed. This review is a result of the attitude of the General Manager. He was condescending and rude. He had the power and ability to turn this whole thing around. He just shrugged and blamed it on a computer glitch. He dirtied the Holiday Inn brand. And cost them a long time customer. read more

Five stars for the staff. My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Milford for seven weeks while our house was (unexpectedly) being worked on. We were treated wonderfully. The staff are amazing - from front desk to engineering to housekeeping - they have a great team. The hotel itself is an older model but the rooms, reception/breakfast area, pool and grounds are clean and well-maintained. You can tell they take pride in their hotel. They cater to a variety of clients from business meetings, large tour groups/sports teams, birthday parties and longer-term residents. I was impressed at how quickly they can check in/out a busload of guests or deal with the occasional "challenge". They are dog-friendly, which was great, as I made 2 dog friends. I have been searching for a hotel with open amenities to enjoy for a night or two because covid has really put a damper on my former vacation plans. I have called at least 15 ohotels to be greeted with unfriendly, unhappy staff who just seem too annoyed or too busy to answer my questions. I called Holiday Inn Express- Milford this evening, and I received the best, most helpful customer service I have experienced in a VERY long time. The woman on the phone was outgoing, happy, and SO helpful. There's other hotels that are cheaper, and more close by to where I live, but the way this woman spoke to me was the sole factor in my decision to book with your hotel. I hope to be able to meet her in person and just thank her for her wonderful customer service. I want management to be aware of how awesome she is. She deserves a raise based on her customer service skills alone! Thanks so much! read more

My boyfriend and I visited family in Foxboro and treated ourselves to a night out. He booked on Expedia and he thought that he got a good deal especially with a pool. We were expecting a king bed but once we arrived we were told that we were on some sort of standby and that there was only 1 room left with 2 double beds. The room was small and the beds even smaller, there was a bag of trash leftover from a previous person just sitting under the sink and there was a bus load of younger kids running all over the place. There was so much noise, running up and down the halls including above us and banging and yelling and such. There were so many unsupervised children it was ridiculous, I even saw some of the children breaking plastic cups and kicking stuff all over the place in the hallway. I decided to try out the pool and jacuzzi but once the bubbles turned off we saw "stuff" floating around in the jacuzzi, that was the last straw really. We don't get out much and we had hoped to relax and have a good time but we only managed to stay an hour and we had to check out and leave. It was the worst experience at a Holiday Inn that I have ever experienced but I have to say that the girl running the front desk was very pleasant. Once I told her about the trash leftover in the she immediately removed it but kept insisting that she couldn't move us. After all the noise my boyfriend went back to the front desk and again she insisted that she couldn't move us. I don't know why for $170 we were on "standby" and why we ended up with such a small cheap room. I have been to much less expensive hotels that have had better rooms and with the trash left in the room and the comforters being so wrinkled i kinda have to wonder if the room was even properly cleaned. Well we booked 3 nights here for vacation and stayed in room 201 - the 1st morning we were woken up at 7:15 AM while a tour bus rattled outside our window for over an hour. When my husband called the desk they said they were too busy to ask them to move. SO my husband went out and asked the bus driver to move. Morning #2 7:15 AM a Japanese tour bus had their diesel roaring next to our room at 7:00 AM....we went to the front desk and asked for a manger, nope "Holly" was no were to be found. SO, I asked to change rooms for the final night for what i hoped would be a restful stay. So, Sarah promised to hold a room for us on the other side of the hotel as it wasn't full that night she said. When we returned that evening Jenny was working the counter and when we asked her for our new room she was so rude and acted like this was our fault. She said "well there will be a bus next to this new room too" we said "we were promised a room on the other side" she said "we have nothing for you". so...we grab our bags get to the new room and bam...TWO busses outside our room. Don't stay here, they are so inconsiderate, aren't we entitled to a rest? they needed to park those busses in their long entrance drive, away from the guests, we didn't feel like we mattered at all. Staff was so rude like we were bothering them. NEVER again. We use other Holiday Inns for my business, but this one could careless about individual travelers, seems to cater to tour bus groups, and too bad for any one else. Our son's hockey team rolled in at 12:45 am and had to wake up at 7 AM bc these busses were running next to their rooms too. Stayed here for a football outing and at first glance the hotel was well placed, right next door to Target, Sports Authority, and TGIF which was great. When we arrived the check in process was a world record breaking fast. The staff was friendly. The pool was a good size, very kid friendly and the jacuzzi was perfect. The rooms were ok, the layout kinda odd with the sink being outside of the bathroom. We stayed in a double room which were 2 full size beds that were fitted for one person and the pillows were AWFUL. The complementary breakfast was not amazing, I mean the eggs were wet and salty, the biscuits rock hard the list goes on. Parking was pretty good. Would I return yes, but I recommend you bring a pillow and opt for the king size bed. read more

Chelsea greeted us at check in with warm chocolate chip cookies and was very helpful in obtaining a room for us. Although no King rooms available was able to get a room with two double beds at a very good rate. Room had all the usual amenities for the Holiday inn. Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, etc. Shuttle also available but we didn't take advantage of that. read more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Milford location along with a large group while we were in the area for a graduation. Our reservations weren't simple by any stretch of the word and we had a LOT of moving parts - I'm talking a reservation of a block of rooms under a group name, reservation of the conference room to host a catered meal after the graduation, and we had people coming from across the US and from across the oceans. Not to mention it was a particularly busy time because several colleges in the Boston area were also having commencements that weekend, and it was also Mother's Day. The hotel staff at Holiday Inn deserves a 5 star rating because they were not only professional, but more than accommodating from the time we were still shopping around to find the best place to stay through check out! Pricilla (and I apologize if I misspelled her name) in particular went above and beyond to meet every need of our party - often addressing the issues personally from delivering toilet paper in the morning, to moving tables when we ran short for the post-graduation dinner, to checking us out on the last day - she maintained exceptional customer service the entire time. The hotel itself was clean, served breakfast every day, and has ample parking. Although it's a bit of a hike from downtown Boston, but it's minutes from several restaurants, Gillette Stadium, and the surrounding area is peaceful and serene. My overall stay was good, but Pricilla elevated it from good to excellent and I'd stay there anytime she's on duty! read more

Stayed here a couple of times on business. The rooms are ok, many of them have been newly rennovated, however the layout with the sink just inside the door makes it feel very cramped and a bit ramshackle even though the main part of the room is a good size. My main problem with the place is the breakfast. It's included in the price but it's dreadful. The plastic plates and cutlery mean I go to my place of work to get breakfast. I guess it's fine if you are just looking for a place to sleep but if like me you travel alone for work it's lacking certain facilities like a bar, restaurant or room service. read more

I've stayed 3 times (all since June 2012). It's a decent hotel for business travelers, clean with a friendly staff. But nothing fancy. Recently the pool was closed for renovation. Includes free hot breakfast which is okay but limited in selection. Includes free WiFi Internet access. Added note in Feb 2013: parking is free and I think the pool renovation is complete but I haven't stayed there in the last 3 months. The Fairfield Inn by Marriott across the street has a better free breakfast but the Holiday Inn has a bigger pool, assuming it's back online. read more

Was just here for a my wedding. Staff was friendly & attentive(especially when it came to the breakfast). Meghan, at the front desk, was very personable and polite. She got us into our rooms slightly ahead of time which put my bride and I at ease. She made the whole process run smoothly and quickly. Room was comfortable, had a decent sized mini fridge, coffee maker etc. Beds were clean, neat and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight. The person that was replenishing breakfast foods,(wish I caught her name)was extremely attentive and polite. Service with a smile too! Cons: Really wonky elevator that wouldn't open the doors at some point and would bring people back to another floor. I recommended taking the stairs. The lack of carts to bring items to my room really sucked. Lots of wedding things to carry and they were being hogged by everyone else. I believe there were only two and there were multiple weddings happening this weekend. One of the carts was left in the parking lot by an idiot, who was too lazy to return it. Lastly, the shuttle service that was recommended by our venue was not running on weekends. It put us in a pickle, we had a lot of people who depended on it. I'm not sure if why you wouldn't run a shuttle service on weekends, considering how many weddings are on Saturdays.... Great hotel! We have stayed at other Holiday Inn Express hotels with our two kids and have always liked the chain. This is by far our favorite one. It is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located about 20 minutes from Southwick's Zoo, and about 40 minutes from Boston. Breakfast is simple, but all you need to start your day. Typically eggs, sausage, biscuits, muffins, fruit, cereal and yogurt. I love that we can grab a quick bite without having to go to a sit-down restaurant. The pool and jacuzzi are clean and almost always empty. The rooms are also clean and have great amenities like mini fridge and sleeper sofa. Perfect for our family. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Close by are stores like Khols, Target, and Best Buy, along with many chain restaurants. We will continue to stay here - excellent value. read more

Place looks brand new. Room was clean and neat. swiming pool area also either new or renovated with a jacuzzi. staff friendly and helpfull. Continental breakfast was really great above the average free breakfast you usually get. Also microwave and fridge in All rooms (something you dont see in any place). If anything the place needs an extra elevator but hey, i didnt mind taking the stairs they are well illuminated and like EVERYTHING else in here just looks either brand new or renovated. 5 out of 5. read more

Had a great stay here recently when my son's hockey team had a tournament. Checkin was quick, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Walked in one evening and asked the woman at the desk if they had any banana's. She went out of her way to get us a small bunch. They were able to provide a conference room for the boys to "hang" out in during our stay to help curb the noise in the hallway with the boys running around. We found the rooms clean and everything in working order. Would have liked to have a little fridge in the room, but other than that, I have no negative comments. My boss and I stayed there this past week and enjoyed everything about this hotel, especially the staff. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We stayed 4 nights and the rooms were clean, comfortable and the breakfast each morning was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and quiet. One morning we were met at breakfast with a school's class trip and they made sure we got in to get breakfast and had a place to sit even though it was very crowded. I have no complaints about the cleanliness or the hotel itself, but the staff was rather terrible. I stayed here with a cycling team that I manage, four rooms for two nights. 1. I made the reservation through hotels.com, which requires you to enter different names for the different rooms despite me being the one paying for all. The woman at check-in demanded to see ID for all these people despite one of them not being present due to change of plans. We finally got the room, but check-in took 20minutes and many papers had to be signed. I also had to provide the names of everyone staying in each room, which seems silly. 2. I asked when breakfast was served and I was told that it started at 7, which was too late for us since we had to be on the road by 6.30. However, when we got to the hotel lobby at 6.30 we found that they were serving cold breakfast much earlier. Why did they not tell us that so that we could have sat down and enjoyed it? 3. When we came back for the second night our key cards were not working because they had only been registered for one night. Sigh. 4. To run the hotel dryers you need quarters so I went down to the reception to change my bills for quarters. There was a note that the receptionist would be back in 5 minutes. After 20+ minutes she returns, and does not apologize for her lateness. During the time she was gone, she missed three phone calls, two customers came and went, and three more (including myself) stayed in line. 5. No smiles, and general poor interaction from the staff. The hotel is obviously understaff and the staff has not been trained in customer service. Despite that, there is a card in your room saying that they take guest satisfaction very seriously. I was traveling for business. My room was clean and spacious, included a microwave and good size refrigerator. The pool and hot tub were an excellent temperature and well maintained. Ice and soda machines as well as a snack area were all well marked and easy to find. I found the staff to be some of the best I have encountered while traveling! Very noisy. Not much of a sound barrier between rooms, including above. Someone in the room above me was apparently dropping bowling balls on the floor and stomping to the point where I thought they were going to crash through the ceiling. This lasted until 1am and resumed at 4am. I called the front desk to complain about it (as much as I hated to be that person), but that didn't help. Could also hear people talking either from the lobby or the hallway very clearly. The sheets also smelled like cigarette smoke, even thoigh it was a non smoking room. read more
