I was a little irritated that they didn't offer basic bath amenities. A tiny bottle of lotion certainly won't break the bank, but it's annoying to realize there's none available unless you buy it from their commissary for a premium price. The gym was ok, I'm not sure how often it is cleaned or attended to. The water station with cups was missing cups every day, so my hunch is it's infrequent. Lastly, echoing what someone else shared with the breakfast, I was a little shocked how much was pre-packaged cereals, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, muffins, etc. I was grateful they had milk alternatives available, but otherwise not the best showing there either.

Cookies are served Mon-Thurs late afternoon/early evening. They just started the Mixer on Wed evenings. Breakfast has numerous options: waffles, oatmeal, eggs, bacon/sausage, breads, juices, fresh cut fruit, dry cereal, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is easy. The gym is adequate. I really love that they have pet-free floors. As a non-pet owner I get turned off when entering a room that is full of pet hair and odors. The hotel location is ideal as well, it's within walking distance to a gas station, grocery store and mini/strip mall with a Super Target, Dollar Tree, movie theater and multiple restaurants (fast and sit-down).

Also I only had one sliding closet door which was odd I liked I had a fridge and way to heat leftovers . I was at the hotel for a week and they tried to change up breakfast a bit each day. I would like some healthier options - plain oatmeal cups instead of sugar laden maple brown sugar I disliked parking is an extra fee/ just build it into the price. One night there was no parking due to roof repairs and the equipment taking up the spaces Water was hot. Housekeeping comes every other day which is ok. I did have to go to the front desk twice for more toilet paper - I only had what was on the existing roll - no extra in the cabinet and it was the nastiest one ply I think I have ever encountered I had packages I needed to ship and the desk staff were helpful lending me a tape gun and printing a label for me when their lobby printing system malfunctioned

This place is tucked away far from everything and feels isolated. Oh, and they ran out of paper plates before breakfast the next morning, people were trying to eat off tiny paper bowls. Obviously, no one was able to run down to BJ's for more or door dash some plates. I would not stay here ever again. We have stayed previously in Marriott properties that were quite nice, so we felt comfortable booking here. This one is not good.

Let's begin with the obvious, it's America's Best Value Inn. VALUE. This is not the Ritz Carlton,…read moreit is not the Four Seasons. If you have fair and reasonable expectations for what this chain is, they you probably won't be disappointed. Now, I will say that we have never stayed at any one of this chain's locations as it is generally not they level of accommodations that we would entertain as an option. Now, despite some of it's shortcomings, we did not have any issues, as a whole, with the grounds, the facility, or even the room. Again, have fair and reasonable expectations. Start from the beginning. Upon entry into the building it looks old and baron and had a slight funk in the air. The gentleman at the counter was polite, courteous, and respectful and handled our check-in efficiently. It was easy. As we made our way to our assigned room, was walked by the lounge/bar/restaurant? area and the funk in the air got stronger and my wife identified this funk as smoke. Maybe the bar/lounge/restaurant has smoking?? I don't know. But as we continues down the hallway to our room, the farther from the bar/lounge/restaurant we got and the closer we got to our room the more that smokey, funky smell dissipated. We entered our room and was pleasantly surprised. Again, for what it is, it was a nice room. It was very obvious they they are making an effort to clean the place up with some renovations. The room appeared "new" as though it had been recently renovated. It was clean, nice, decent television, larger than average fridge, power outlets and USB ports on each tide of the bed. The floors were clean, the best was clean, bathroom also clean and renovations almost complete. The room as a whole was clean and nice. The sofa (sleep sofa?) did have some stains on the cushions and the bathroom ceiling was still a work in progress. One thing the room did have, that we don't usually get in rooms at twice this price but do se in rooms at triple the price, were some complementary bottle water and a few snacks (bags of chips, pretzels, etc.). Now, let me offer a few words about the complimentary breakfast. While it was not vast or abundant, it was a full hot breakfast. A few fruit, cereal, and bread options, eggs, sausage, French toast, etc. Quality... it was okay. They drawback for me on breakfast was it was in the poorly lit, dark, low ceiling, funky lounge/bar/restaurant. But again, managing your expectations and it wasn't bad. Overall, it was NOT A BAD EXPERIENCE. Would we stay here again? Maybe. If we were in this price point, we probably would.

The room itself was clean, the bed was…read morecomfortable, and we appreciated the small touches -- coffee, bottled water, and wonderfully fluffy pillows. After a long night out, that comfort matters. Now for the not-so-great. We were attending an event at the hotel, and unfortunately the bartender scheduled for the event was sick. That part isn't my complaint -- these things happen. However, guests were directed to the hotel bar instead. Fine... although walking through a Valentine's crowd in full vampire makeup was admittedly awkward (but that's on us and our life choices ). What was frustrating: the two water dispensers in the hallway of our event were completely empty. If there's no bartender for the event, ensuring guests have access to water seems like a very basic courtesy. Later that night, the hallway outside our room turned into what felt like a preteen playground around 11 p.m. Not ideal for sleep. I won't entirely blame the hotel for that -- but it certainly didn't help the overall experience. The real issue, and the reason for the low rating, was the construction. The website clearly states renovations begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. Unfortunately, we were jolted awake at 6:45 a.m. by loud banging, drilling, stomping, and worker chatter right above our room. When you're paying close to $200 per night and hoping to sleep in after a night of celebration, that matters. A lot. We left tired, cranky, and disappointed. We even skipped the $18-per-person breakfast (served in a freezing cold dining area) because we just wanted to get out of there. It's frustrating because this could have been a decent stay. But unexpected early construction noise and basic oversights like empty water stations made it one we won't be repeating.

That was a bonus. We enjoyed their spread. For dinner, the wedding had a pre reception the night before and it was setup as a buffet with a cash bar. It was fine and just reminded me of your typical catered food. Not great but not bad. The Legends bar was a nice surprise seeing a full sports bar inside a hotel. Nice bartenders and friendly to boot. Also had live music too. They have nice size indoor pool and a tiny fitness center (please fix your Peloton bike!) too. There is a grocery store just couple minutes all of you need to get something. Nice hotel and thank you for finally adding no nuts cookies!
