I'll start with the positives because there were some. After a long night out, that comfort matters. Now for the not-so-great. We were attending an event at the hotel, and unfortunately the bartender scheduled for the event was sick. That part isn't my complaint -- these things happen. However, guests were directed to the hotel bar instead. Fine... although walking through a Valentine's crowd in full vampire makeup was admittedly awkward (but that's on us and our life choices ). What was frustrating: the two water dispensers in the hallway of our event were completely empty. If there's no bartender for the event, ensuring guests have access to water seems like a very basic courtesy. Later that night, the hallway outside our room turned into what felt like a preteen playground around 11 p.m. Not ideal for sleep. I won't entirely blame the hotel for that -- but it certainly didn't help the overall experience. The real issue, and the reason for the low rating, was the construction. The website clearly states renovations begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. Unfortunately, we were jolted awake at 6:45 a.m. by loud banging, drilling, stomping, and worker chatter right above our room. When you're paying close to $200 per night and hoping to sleep in after a night of celebration, that matters. A lot. We left tired, cranky, and disappointed. We even skipped the $18-per-person breakfast (served in a freezing cold dining area) because we just wanted to get out of there. It's frustrating because this could have been a decent stay. But unexpected early construction noise and basic oversights like empty water stations made it one we won't be repeating.

Nice queen size beds and refreshed interior (although the paint on some doors and the sink faucet is already peeling) and note, no more irons and ironing board - they supply you with a clothes steamer. We ate at the main dining room for breakfast buffet (it's the only option with no a la carte menu) and is $18 pp. we enjoyed it and one of the mornings they also offered omelette and eggs your way station. That was a bonus. We enjoyed their spread. For dinner, the wedding had a pre reception the night before and it was setup as a buffet with a cash bar. It was fine and just reminded me of your typical catered food. Not great but not bad. The Legends bar was a nice surprise seeing a full sports bar inside a hotel. Nice bartenders and friendly to boot. Also had live music too. They have nice size indoor pool and a tiny fitness center (please fix your Peloton bike!) too. There is a grocery store just couple minutes all of you need to get something. Nice hotel and thank you for finally adding no nuts cookies!

I was…read morenominated as the Boston Celtics' "Small Business of the Game" and my whole career has been based on "customer service." I also worked at the front desk of a hotel for two years while I attended Wellesley College and after that I worked as a paralegal at prominent firms in Boston before starting my business. I *deeply* understand customer service, professionalism, and the weight of negative Yelp reviews which is why I have quite literally never written one. I originally wrote a negative review (and it was the first negative review I have ever written on Yelp) because I had a negative experience with one of the front desk agents at first. But one of the things I also understand working in customer service is that if you give a business the feedback they need to make changes and to "make things right" and they are receptive to that feedback, a business should not be judged because of a one off experience. I was able to communicate my issues and I am updating my review to reflect that the hotel handled my feedback professionally and for that I am very grateful.

You still get the quality, comfort, and reliability of Hilton while also getting a hotel that actually has personality and charm that reflects the area instead of feeling like a generic chain. The decor is incredible. So much cool nostalgic artwork, bright pops of color, music references, and fun themed touches like old-school phone booths and a vintage motorcycle display. It feels lively, stylish, and upbeat while still being relaxed and comfortable. The music, lighting, and overall atmosphere instantly put you in a good mood. I got one of the newly renovated rooms which was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was great and I slept really well. The gym is simple but completely serviceable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is also excellent. It is very easy to access from the freeway and it is close to great food, shopping, and anything else you might need. Overall this is a hotel that is actually enjoyable to stay in. Clean, comfortable, full of character, and just fun to be in. I loved it and would absolutely stay here again.

Now that I've had more travel experience, I can confidently say this hotel is a hidden gem in Waltham. The apartment-style rooms are fantastic--spacious, clean, and equipped with full kitchens, comfy seating areas, and all the essentials. It's more like staying in a cozy apartment than a standard hotel, which makes solo trips, family visits, or longer stays feel effortless. The service is genuinely warm and welcoming, and the breakfast is a standout--custom-made eggs cooked to order and expertly crafted coffee that beats any run-of-the-mill hotel fare. The location is great too--close enough to Brandeis University for visiting students, but also easy to explore Waltham's Moody Street for restaurants, cafés, and a little local charm. The area felt safe and walkable, and for outdoor enthusiasts, you can hop on nearby trails along the Charles River or Mass Central Rail Trail for some scenic exercise. Bottom line: Whether you're visiting Waltham for school, family, or just a weekend getaway, Crescent Suites hits all the marks. If I ever find myself back in the area, I won't think twice about staying here again.

Wifey and stayed here for two nights in early December as we were going to the Army-Navy game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. The room was perfectly comfortable for our needs. Bed was fine, Tv and wi-fi were fine, and it was clean. I was disappointed that there were no charger/usb ports near the bed (most places we stay have them built into the lamps, clock, or just have them on the wall or side table). I was also disappointed with the water pressure in the room. This place has a coffee/breakfast bar off the lobby, but it was a little pricey for the quality and size of the cup. It's a Fairfield Inn, not a Four Seasons, and this was a decent stay with good parking, easy and friendly check in and checkout, and decent rooms. I'd stay here again...

The guest key is linked to the elevator providing security. You must swipe your key card and select your floor for access. We had a wonderful stay. The facility and grounds were well taken care of. Beth and Joey at the front desk were very helpful. We had a ceiling light and stove light out and the maintenance and engineering tech was very fast, pleasant, and easy to work with (sorry I didn't catch his name) and got it fixed right off. The kitchen worked out well. We cooked a few things and was glad to have a full fridge and freezer. Everything worked well and was stocked nicely. The temperature controls and unit worked well. They have a nice gym, walking path, doggies station, breakfast area, common seating areas and outdoor space. The only thing that was a bit disheartening were a few of the guests didn't always pick up after their pooches. Thankfully there were plenty of waste baggies so I did my fair share of clean up. I am really thankful to have pet friendly places to stay and wish other people did their part. We did have a run in with a guest who couldn't manage their two dogs so word of caution to be alert around other pups. The breakfast was decent with a variety of options such as oat milk, vegan foods, hot oatmeal, bagels, waffles, french toast, eggs, sausage and vegan sausage. Lots of condiments like PB, cranberry, nuts, seeds, juices and more. The staff did a great job cleaning up and keeping the food and coffee stations filled. One family with their young tots made a full blown disaster and I thanked the ladies who came up after to pick up and scrub it down. We had a king size bed with 4 pillows and extra bedding in the drawers. It was very comfortable as I've always slept well on Marriott mattresses. The room had plenty of storage to unpack, an ironing board, and updated outlets for charging. The rooms were cleaned every other day but I did ask them to come more often to vacuum up after the pup. I appreciated them very much. The view to the outside over route 9 towards the Natick mall was nice. It wasn't too loud and I enjoyed being able to see the grounds. The tree leaves were turning color and the ground people did a great job mowing, trimming and keeping the place looking nice. I look forward to our next stay and highly recommend this location. We met some long term stay guest who were also quite nice. Thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and welcoming.
