Yeah, perhaps you MIT folks should stick to three letters.

It's a fancy-ish hotel. Someone's dead relatives stare at you from many walls. They supposedly grow their own greens, which then are drowned in heaps and mounds of oil and vinegar. That said, the conference room was pretty nice. The v6 option would have been great had it been routed outside the conference room. Also... No alarm clock. Really? Yes, my laptop works quite well as an alarm clock, but not leaving options is an interesting choice. The exercise room in the main building is kinda excruciating. Might work in the dead of Massatwoshits winter, but during the summer it's not quite good pain. The killer part: The state of the tapestries and paintings is shameful. Tattered and dirty. The quality of the sleeping and conference rooms pulled it back to three stars. Otherwise this has all the trappings of stinky, decrepit old money. Caveat: I'm Berkeley. This is MIT. So of course I'm going to laugh at the "exersize" room. Which, btw, has been re-purposed as another conference room.

    Stately front entrance.

I also added the jump house, which was a big hit. We were able to unplug it when it came time for our arts and craft for the kids, and plugged it back in when we were done with the activities. We were able to set up the tables the way we wanted so that, we can use the center for the games and activities we had planned. I booked it with Ann who is the Marketing associate, she is very professional and friendly, we stayed in contact via email up about 48 hours prior to my event. We went over the contract the day I signed, and a few days before my event to go over everything such as rules and the start/end time. I met with Frank the facilities Manager in the beginning and at the end of my event, he was also very professional and friendly. Overall the party was great, many people reached out to me on info so they can plan future events at this location. If you want to deal with professional, friendly people I'd definitely say book here. Last thing to keep in mind if you plan on setting up decor/balloons you will need to add additional time to your contract for setting up and also for cleaning up at the end of your event.

After calling 20+ places, the Community House answered promptly and worked efficiently to ensure we could have the party less than two days later. The gym was a perfect place to hold a party for kids. They were able to run around and play out of the toy closet. We were also grateful for the chairs and tables that were made available for no extra charge. I'll definitely be remembering them for future parties and would recommend them without hesitation.

We were directed into the parking lot by some parking attendants, walked over to the ticket booth and checked into our time slot. Having a time slot kept the crowd down and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. After a short walk down a lighted trail with Christmas music playing we arrived at the house. It was gorgeously decorated and we were able to walk around the bottoms floor and check out the rooms. One room had blank cards on hangers that you could write out a wish on and place it on a wish tree. Before exiting to walk the grounds there was a small concession stand in the house offering both Kid and Adult Hot Chocolate and Warm Apple Cider (peppermint schnapps or spiced rum optional) as well a selection of cookies and sweets. Pretty easy walk around the grounds with beautiful lights and holiday music playing through speakers spread around. Took us about a half hour to walk around, take pictures and lift our holiday spirits! I enjoyed it and we had a nice night.

The guest key is linked to the elevator providing security. You must swipe your key card and select your floor for access. We had a wonderful stay. The facility and grounds were well taken care of. Beth and Joey at the front desk were very helpful. We had a ceiling light and stove light out and the maintenance and engineering tech was very fast, pleasant, and easy to work with (sorry I didn't catch his name) and got it fixed right off. The kitchen worked out well. We cooked a few things and was glad to have a full fridge and freezer. Everything worked well and was stocked nicely. The temperature controls and unit worked well. They have a nice gym, walking path, doggies station, breakfast area, common seating areas and outdoor space. The only thing that was a bit disheartening were a few of the guests didn't always pick up after their pooches. Thankfully there were plenty of waste baggies so I did my fair share of clean up. I am really thankful to have pet friendly places to stay and wish other people did their part. We did have a run in with a guest who couldn't manage their two dogs so word of caution to be alert around other pups. The breakfast was decent with a variety of options such as oat milk, vegan foods, hot oatmeal, bagels, waffles, french toast, eggs, sausage and vegan sausage. Lots of condiments like PB, cranberry, nuts, seeds, juices and more. The staff did a great job cleaning up and keeping the food and coffee stations filled. One family with their young tots made a full blown disaster and I thanked the ladies who came up after to pick up and scrub it down. We had a king size bed with 4 pillows and extra bedding in the drawers. It was very comfortable as I've always slept well on Marriott mattresses. The room had plenty of storage to unpack, an ironing board, and updated outlets for charging. The rooms were cleaned every other day but I did ask them to come more often to vacuum up after the pup. I appreciated them very much. The view to the outside over route 9 towards the Natick mall was nice. It wasn't too loud and I enjoyed being able to see the grounds. The tree leaves were turning color and the ground people did a great job mowing, trimming and keeping the place looking nice. I look forward to our next stay and highly recommend this location. We met some long term stay guest who were also quite nice. Thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and welcoming.
