Clean and convenient to Gillette Stadium. Susan, at the front desk was kind, cheerful and helpful. An A+ representative for the company.

Well, apparently, my memory was considerably better than the hotel itself! The hotel was tired, dated, and in desperate need of some TLC, but the real entertainment began at check-in. I had specifically requested a feather-free room due to allergies and even reconfirmed the request. Apparently, this was comedy hour at the front desk because the staff seemed to find my request absolutely hilarious. And, of course, what was waiting in my room? A lovely Down comforter and feather pillows! Apparently, the reservation notes were just there for decoration. The staff offered absolutely no help or explanation, other than running off laughing. Making my way to the room, I had to navigate around a large garbage can collecting water from a ceiling leak, along with some mysterious contraption doing its best to catch more water. Moldy towels hanging from the ceiling completed the décor. Nothing says welcome like a little indoor water feature! The hallway smelled moldy, which was really just the finishing touch. Once in the room, I had the pleasure of remaking the bed myself, only to discover the TV didn't work. A call to the front desk informed me that maintenance had already gone home for the day. Thankfully, there had been a shift change, so I was spared another round with the laughing hyenas at check-in. Sadly, there was no lobster breakfast to redeem the experience. The one bright spot was the restaurant staff, who were absolutely wonderful and deserve a shout-out. Let's just say this hotel has fallen a long way since my last visit. It is well past its prime....It certainly won't be making my return-visit list. Unless you're specifically shopping for a flea-bag hotel experience, I'd suggest keeping right on driving. At least the garbage cans might have better accommodations than the guests!

This past year we had our son's Bar Mitzvah at Four Points by Sheraton Norwood…read more When we started our search for a venue to hold this important life event for our son there were a few things we were focused on. The venue had to have a hall to fit 100-150 people, hotel rooms at the venue or nearby for traveling guests, and a variety of good quality food. From our first meeting with Jayme Dalipovic, their catering sales manager, we knew we didn't need to look anywhere else. They had multiple rooms of varying sizes, so it gave us some flexibility depending on how many people were coming. Being a hotel, they had plenty of rooms that we were able to reserve blocks of rooms at a great discount. And when we booked up the block, they provided us with more. Unlike most halls, the food options were from their on-site restaurant. They had great options for food and it didn't feel like mass-produced generic catering food, but like we were getting food directly from an elegant restaurant...which it was! And even more impressive than finding this place that exceeded our expectations on what we were looking for, it far exceeded all the intangibles that we had never even thought of. The quality of service and hospitality made us feel like we were royalty. The level of attention they focused on left nothing unthought of. Every little detail they made sure was perfect! For anyone looking for a place to hold an important event, be it a Bar Mitzvah, a wedding or a company retreat, we highly recommend going with Four Points by Sheraton Norwood. They will help create an event that you and your guests will never forget.

Restful Stay & Great Value…read more We stayed one night at the Hampton Inn in Norwood and had a very restful experience. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing--especially the shower with plenty of hot water. The entire facility felt well-maintained and clean. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Even though we had some booking issues, they handled everything professionally and kindly, which really made a difference. Breakfast looked good overall. The only downside was that there were no eggs when we came down around 8:00 AM--we may have arrived before they restocked the scrambled eggs. That said, the coffee was absolutely delicious. For the price, this hotel is a great value. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, and a peaceful night's sleep. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Norwood/Boston area.

They have ample parking with a great restaurant attached (Mick Morgan's) and I really think the restaurant made our stay bearable at almost $350/night. The toilet paper holder was broken and the toilet paper roll would slide off and the holder couldn't be used. The carpet could use shampooing; it had a stale funky odor. The air conditioner barely cooled the room off and we left on the lowest setting of 65 degrees. The housekeeping staff was super loud each morning. The breakfast served had brown, over ripened bananas that had fruit flies all over it. Oranges weren't ripe enough. Hot breakfast was overcooked and dry, making it inedible. The staff that ran breakfast wasn't friendly at all. Got a yogurt and left. I don't recommend this specific hotel and I won't be staying here again with all the options nearby.

Hotel had a block of rooms at a lower rate, which was a nice thing - close to the event and very close to the Target and other restaurants right nearby, along with a Wegmans in the complex. Also right beside the train station, so that was convenient if you didn't want to drive into Boston. Location can get packed with fans if you have football games going on, so the weekend rates were higher than the weekday rates by quite a bit. Space is relatively new, lobby clean and restaurant/bar there, as well as check in and a small shop for snacks. They had a water tower there, too, and a small area with TVs and a business center all on the first floor. Pool was closed for maintenance, and gym was small but had all the basic weights and a couple treadmills. And they have some cookies out every night (varies by type). They do room service every other day, or you can call for more frequent service (or state none at all at the start). The food service area is only open a few hours of the day (it's not continuous coffee available, you have to go to Dunkin or a Starbucks instead of that's your drive). Rooms were comfortable and had plenty of lights and a small fridge, AC that you could turn off, blackout curtains, and a mirror. TV didn't work, initially, staff came in and at least had the cable working, but the TV video was all blue tinted. They said it'll get fixed with a new batch of TVs coming in, so we'll see what happens the next time we visit! Parking lot had plenty of space, shared with the urgent care next door and the Del Frisco's Grille.

There was no second guessing with the shower as it was labeled "hot" and "cold". As for food, I didn't try it myself but the people I was staying with had gotten dinner from the restaurant downstairs and had apparently enjoyed it. The ladies who checked me in and checked me out were also very friendly, no issues there. The free parking was a big plus and one of the only reasons I chose this spot. I only took away a star because of the bathroom situation. I don't know if all Hilton Garden Inns do this or if it's just this one but the bathroom door is a sliding door that closes most of the way. Essentially, you don't have a way to fully close the bathroom door while you're inside. Someone outside of the bathroom could partially peak in on you as you're doing your business which I didn't appreciate. Basically if you're going to stay at a hotel like this, try to avoid staying with creeps.
