    1927 Old Fashioned. Delicious.

This is a gorgeous bar located in the Hollywood Historic Hotel. (Like the word "authentic," I always raise an eyebrow when I see the word "historic" in any name.) The Edmon has a solid food and cocktail menu, including a few nice mocktail options. The charcuterie plate (which comes with both meats and cheeses) is very nice. It is worth ordering just to get the basket of crisps that comes with it. I could have eaten a thousand of them. While the decor is very upscale, this being Southern California, you will see customers dressed in all manner of clothes, from cheap printed t-shirts to more upscale cocktail attire. Also, sports fans may be disappointed to learn there are no televisions in this bar. There is plenty of freeeee valet parking in the lot behind the historic hotel so you have no excuse for not visiting. This is a great-looking, comfortable bar for cocktails and munchies.

The space alone makes it a worth stop. We were looking for a spot before a show at the pantages and were glad we found this place. Happy hour is from 4-7 do arriving at 5:30 gave us plenty of good options. Oysters were fresh with two sauces, duck confit tacos were flavorful and the nachos had a hint of what tasted like mole. We weren't done so we went for the short rib poutine - gooey and delicious. Old fashioned and glass of Grenache complimented the meal. Staff was attentive and we can't wait to return.

Finally had a chance to stop by after a long long anticipated first visit but did not disappoint!! What a hidden gem and absolutely stunning and beautiful venue!! Humongous bar with plenty of table seating plus outside patios plus rear parking!!! Live dj spinning disco most of night. Staff were friendly and accommodating but bartender was super funny cool and made me an amazing white Mezcal Negroni....Delicious!!! Vibe was a little strange and lighting...? Maybe a little too bright but definitely would comeback. Also keep in mind they close early here....I think 11pm or midnight?

Who knew this lovely little hotel and its cozy dining and bar space was tucked away on Melrose ? I did not eat here, but we enjoyed a few very well made cocktails. Our barkeep was quick and skilled. I loved the decor which channeled speakeasy comes to old Hollywood. And huge bonus- they have their own parking lot!!! (Although I suspect it fills up quickly).

Excellent stop. Had a concert trip to the Wiltern so we popped in for a few drinks and apps. Great call. Parking was free and plentiful. The bar was gorgeous and the food was delicious. We had the $9 happy hour everyday Old Fashioned's. Perfect pours and paired it with some asada fries and Caesar salad. Now wish this place was closer to me. The bartenders were friendly and provided excellent service. Stop by for Happy Hour any day.

It is quite hard to miss the rich architecture of the building where The Edmon is. When you step in, it gives the Great Gatsby vibes. Art deco with geometric shapes and lines upon entering thru its doors, plush velvet soft seating at the tables, sleek and sophsticated bar area with soft lighting and great music. This place is perfect for after work drinks or a night on the town. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Frenchie. He was cool energy, singing and dancing as he served up some great drinks. We ordered their Spot light cocktail which was gin based (this cocktail changes each time) and old fashioned. Both were delicious. We also ordered short rib barbacoa nachos which were perfect to share. Overall a great place to check out. Their happy hour is from 4pm - 7pm, reasonable expected cost based on location and parking was easy and convenient. I didn't check out their outdoor area but would be great to go back once weather gets better.

Great ambiance and service! We loved the various drink selection. Great date night location. The bartenders were helpful and fun.

What a cool little spot! Came here before heading to the Pantages (which is only 2 miles away, great for getting a bite to eat or cocktail). They have a nice happy hour selection, from cocktails, beer and wine and shareable appetizers. Frenchie, our bartender was very helpful and when he stepped away, any of the other staff were happy to assist. He was also singing and dancing, which makes sense because their playlist was incredible. I had to SoundHound some songs for my own playlist. The food was delicious, we almost ended up ordering another plate of short rib nachos because they were so good! Topped with avocado and a side of green salsa, each nacho was full of flavor. I haven't seen any Downtown Brown on Draft anywhere, so I had to get it. They said they don't always carry it, so I was pleasantly surprised. We also tried their "Spotlight Cocktail" which changes from time to time. This time it was a Gin and Apricot concoction and I'd recommend it but I'm not sure if it'll be there when you go. But I always like trying things that aren't on the menu or seasonal just for an experience that I might have missed otherwise. We went on a Friday night and there were plenty tables but I recommend going to the bar since you get a good view of the place and can have interesting conversations with the bartenders and/or your neighbor.

All dishes are carefully crafted with its colorful details, and its simple but bold flavors prepared for you through an open kitchen. This place gets busy the minute they open their doors so make reservations prior. 1. Korean Aguachile: fresh tilefish sashimi with finely sliced cucumber and white floral decor simmered in ice cold kimchee broth they pour at the table. Soooo good. Must order. 2. Soy Marinade Blue Prawn: My favorite dish of the night. Huge raw blue prawns (head attached) marinaded with soy sauce. Served with barley rice topped with Ssam jang (type of bean paste sauce), and seaweed paper. You wrap all ingredients in the seaweed paper to make a hand roll. Soooooo delicious. Can't walk out without trying this. 3. Beef short ribs: good but nothing unique in its flavoring . Beef steak(medium rare and super tender) that's lightly marinaded/glazed (so not overly sweet) with kbbq/short rib sauce. This is one of their fan favorites so I suggest you try it.. 4. Chilled Acorn Noodles: chewy cOLD noodles made with acorn (just like the acorn jelly side dish we eat). The noodles are seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu-jang (Gochujang paste), crispy cucumber slices, loads of dried seaweed flakes, and perilla oil. And you just mix them all together. Sooo good and paired well with the short ribs. Incredible. 5. Bluefin tuna and trout Bibimbop: like a poke bowl but so much better. Rice at the bottom with loads of lettuce strips, bluefin tuna sashimi, radish slices, and cavier. Seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu jang (Gochujang paste with a twist of vinegar). Very good as well. For drinks we tried the shikhye slush (shikhye is a Korean sweet rice drink dessert). They used a slushy shikhye base with warm cinnamon and ginger spices and pisco for a kick. Also tried the Sujinggwa manhattan which is sujunggwa (traditional Korean cinnamon ginger dessert tea served cold) and a single malt. This was fabulous. Overall fantastic experience. Fantastic food, cool ambiance's. And great service. Highly highly recommend this place!

Tables looked available around 5pm though so walk-ins could be possible. Ambiance: Outside was nice and inside looked dimly lit and romantic. We were seated promptly and service was good. Food: Rice slushy had a strangely strong cinnamon-like taste to it that traditional rice punch doesn't have which was so overpowering, it made it difficult to go back for more sips. Oysters - good though small, enjoyed the kelp mignonette Korean Aguachile - Delicate tilefish completely overwhelmed by cold kimchi broth with actual icy slush in it and small amounts of fish Steak Tartare - The hot stone bowl seemed to defeat the purpose of a tartare, as it cooked the steak once mixed. The perilla leaves were also cut in large strips relative to the beef. Chilled Acorn Noodle - The perilla oil was nonexistent in flavor though the dish didn't need it and was good without. Overall, portions were small for the price and dishes weren't well-executed so despite being excited for more Korean options in West LA, I'd much rather make the drive to Koreatown for better portions, prices, and flavors.

First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. I had placed a phone order, for pick up; upon arrival, I found the service was prompt. I saw my food ready to go, just past the main walk-in area. Almost immediately after that, I was taken care of by the host and on my way. I've been waiting to try this place for ages so on the drive back to work I was excited to steal a piece of meat from the bag. Initial bite flavor was good, meat was tender just a bit on the chewy side.. I wasn't bothered by it too much as I'd have to leave it in an oven warmer at work. Trying to keep food warm, in doing so, I knew there'd be only two possible outcomes, melting tender or either tough & dry. So, the dish of meat and rice sat in the warmer for almost an hour hour and a half. The downhill slope.... Set the "meat " on the veggies and began to eat. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. As go on, I get the sinking feeling, this can't be real meat. I lock in, the deeper I dig, each piece looks the same, broken apart the same, tastes the same, just various shapes. They can call me crazy for this one - I'll stand by it. Something is not right here. I'm not even going to throw it away. I'm going to study it for the next few days and post an updated review. I hope I'm wrong but as of right now, I'll never revisit this place. Too freaky of an experience. We
