I like that they have shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash in the showers for you. They offer hair dryers as well! The studio is always clean and the patio for cooling off is fantastic. They offer refreshments and cool swag to purchase. 2. I love the environment that each teacher sets. It's a completely non-judgmental environment where I can just practice yoga and not feel like I have to be as good at it as the person on my left. I like that they help you "set your intention" for class. 3. The yoga routine/poses build on one another and there is a good flow. At the beginning of class I might feel a little stiff, but by the end of class I can put my forehead to my knee. Pretty amazing! The instructors know what they're doing and they are SO encouraging. It's pretty awesome to be struggling to hold your bow stance and have the instructor call you by name and say "You've got it, Sarah!" 4. If you're part of their mailing list, you get informed of special deals that they're running which is pretty cool. Hot yoga is more expensive than any gym membership I've seen, but I like that I don't have to think about what I'm doing; I just follow the instructions and give it my best. I love going to Essential Hot Yoga and I recommend it to all my friends, and to you fine people out here on Yelp. ;)

Room was heated to about 104 but doors and windows were opened briefly periodically during the session. They give you a cold lavender towel to use as the session wraps up. I did notice the smell others mentioned about half way through the class but didn't really bother me or make the session unbearable. They made me feel welcomed, and also had a little goodie bag for me after since it was my first time. I do wish they had some non-heated class options but would definitely come back to this studio next time I am in the market for hot yoga!

When I say everyone at this studio is the sweetest and so warm and welcoming I mean it. When you come to authentic, you show up for yourself and you set the expectations. It doesn't matter if you have never stepped foot in a studio or have been practicing for 20 years, Authentic is for everyone wanting to connect to their body. Amanda the owner has beyond made me feel comfortable in being uncomfortable as well as feeling accepted. Her practice is beautiful, the way she guides you through each class you feel supported even with 20+ students in the room. Leah's classes are also amazing, her chanting at the end really takes it home and leaves you feeling even more grounded. Scott's classes are tough and invigorating he gives such exciting and encouraging energy, if you don't feel confident in your practice Scott has some confidence and belief in you.
