The Discovery Center is located near many Boise favorites such as Julia Davis Park, the Boise River, Boise Rose Garden, and the Boise Zoo. My child came home and told me the entire group was required to clean the facility walls with cleaning chemicals because some of the children were not listening. Collective punishment like this is unacceptable. I pay for my child to attend camp to learn, play, and be supervised--not to clean the business as a consequence for other children's behavior. If specific children are having behavioral issues, they should be disciplined individually. Parents should also be informed if their own child has behavior concerns. My child had done nothing wrong and should never have been included in that punishment. This incident was the final straw after previously bringing concerns to staff about my child being repeatedly picked on by another camper. Despite raising those concerns, nothing meaningful was done. I continued to give the facility multiple chances, hoping things would improve, but unfortunately they did not. I was also surprised by how much of the camp appeared to be run by very young staff members with limited supervision. As a parent, I expected a safe, positive, and professionally managed environment. Instead, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. I will not be returning.

No one came up to clean before the party so I had to get a vacuum and Lysol wipes and do it myself. Very frustrating to have to clean up after other people when it's the employees job. I was told they would have the area cleaned and clean up after each party, then we had a half an hour left of play time and they told all of our guests they couldn't go to the gym area. They also came up to the party room before the end of my party and started trying to take down the decorations and hurry us out. Very unprofessional.

First of all, the venue is spacious and works perfectly for a large event. The venue provided breakfast, lunch, and appetizers, and drinks everyday of the conference and the food was amazing. It was the best food I've ever had at conference. They had homemade potato chips and bread. Wonderful desserts and pastries. The first day we had salmon bowls with rice and veggies they were delicious! Everything is top notch and I hope they decide to hold next year's conference here.

It is a great facility with an excellent location and very accommodating staff. I've been involved in hosting two find raisers here for a charter school and a community radio station. I also attended a holiday work party. As a host, I had everything I needed to pack the house for a dinner in one case and a speech by a celebrity news anchor in the other. As a guest I found the space a little too bright for a festive gathering. I think the organizers just didn't know how to set up the lighting correctly because at the other events we took advantage of the accent lighting to highlight a speaker and information/book signing tables. Bar services are available through the sister company, the Modern Hotel. I wish the kitchen were bigger because I think it was a little hard for our caterer to plate up in the little space they have. The managers are supper helpful and flexible. And believe me, this is key when you are dealing with a chaotic events planning committee or a picky mother-in-law when you are planning your event or wedding reception!
