I came for a emergency response event that was also well thought out. Lots of good representatives from different private and government agencies including: OC sheriff, OC Fire Authority, OC Mosquito and Vector control, Team Rubicon, and a few other related agencies that would help in an emergency. The organizer, Jennifer, was very helpful. The Bad: The fire truck had to leave, booooo Duty calls. The Ugly: not alot of people showed up to an event that had a lot of good information about what to do in an emergency. Society is doomed. Que triste. Also, for taxes pay for these...

There are a few corner locations that have a sewer door when you drive by. I am not sure if the people have gotten accustomed to it or if it's recent but two months have passed by since we moved to Dana Point and every time we drive they the following areas there is a bothering sweated scent that is strong and unpleasant. One area is the corner or Crown Valley and Niguel Road. The other is Alicia and Crown Valley right near Laguna Niguel's City Hall. Other than that it is an awesome city. For the longest time, I relied on Florabella to provide me with creative arrangements made from what were often unusual and difficult-to-find flowers. The business was well-organized and kept its schedule reliably, attractive traits to a nerd such as myself, and it sold its creations at a reasonable price. I could drop off a vase at the shop, conveniently located in Bay Ho, and, a few days later, either pick up my flowers or have them delivered to my house. However, by fall of 2019, owners Sarah Newstead and Jennifer Bull were gone, and the shop had moved from San Diego to Coronado Island, a virtual world away from the one I inhabit. Prices had risen, phone calls were no longer promptly returned, and the whole enterprise began to feel desperate and amateurish, like Mom had left the kids in charge, and maybe they were in a little over their heads. So I've stopped using Florabella, because, in the immortal words of Kimberly "Sweet Brown" Wilkins, "Ain't nobody got time for that." I grant that some of my hesitation may stem from an age-related aversion to change, and that your experience with the "new" Florabella may differ from mine, but, nevertheless, buyer beware and all that...

In need of a special Thanksgiving Day bouquet for my sister and her family, I chose Genesee Florist for their lovely, dried flower arrangements. The website photos were close to, but not quite what I wanted - so I picked up the phone and called. Doug answered. If only there were more Dougs in this world! We discussed what I wanted, agreed on the colors, the vase, the price, and the delivery date. Doug's so knowledgeable, so accommodating, and even texted a photo of the finished product to me before delivery. Needless to say, it was everything I wanted - and more. My sister was awestruck - and thrilled that she now has a vibrant piece of art, really, that will last a very long time for them to enjoy. Give Genesee Florist a call - or order directly from their website. You won't be disappointed!

Genesee Florist had such an easy to use website and had several selections that were within our mandated budget. We were able to get same-day delivery since we placed the order before 2 PM, and I got a phone call within an hour of placing the order so that they could confirm details. I was even able to call back within a few minutes to change the note on the gift and they were so gracious to accommodate. I don't often buy flowers, but I'll be keeping Genesee Florist at the top of my list for any future occasions!

I hate to write this review but after this experience I feel compelled to…read more I've ordered numerous bouquets from various different florists before so I understand that sometimes there can be a little variation in what you receive from what you ordered online. I'm ok with that. This was not the case with this florist. In this instance I felt completely ripped off, hence the review. We ordered the "rose rapture" and paid extra for the deluxe version. The description and pictures from their website show a gorgeous bouquet of "lavender and pink roses" and the size for the deluxe version as 18x18. What I received was a bouquet that was significantly smaller than expected. So much so, that I had to bust out a measuring tape and saw that what I actually received was a bouquet of orange, yellow, pink and red roses that measured 11x17. Was the bouquet cute? Sure- it looked as cute as an inexpensive bouquet I could have picked up from any grocery store. Did it look like the $200+ bouquet we picked out from this florist? Definitely not. So, I called and spoke with a woman about my dissatisfaction in what we received. The woman wasn't unpleasant...but she also wasn't apologetic or sympathetic. She was more defensive than anything. She said that the reason the bouquet was smaller than I expected was because she decided to put it in a smaller vase so that it would be sturdier. I'm sorry, but that makes no sense. You're telling me that in order to receive an 18x18 bouquet (as advertised on their own site), the sturdiness would have to be compromised? Anyway, she offered to take back the flowers and make me a new one or refund our money. Lacking trust in the florist and turned off by her excuse, I decided I'd rather just take the refund. I didn't find out till the following day, after they picked the flowers back up, that they would not offer a FULL refund including the extra fees and delivery, but only a refund for the flowers itself. So at the end of the day, we were still out about $50 for nothing. Disappointing experience to say the least. So if you're thinking about ordering from them, don't. I've included pictures so you can see for yourself why I was so unimpressed.

I've used several florists and I will say that this shop has moved to the top of my list. I received a phone call from Christine to let me know that the arrangement I chose couldn't happen at the time because some of the flowers weren't in season. So, I gave her creative freedom to do what she wanted. I'm no expert, nor do I know names of flowers. I did mention that the colors of the bouquet I initially picked caught my eye and that's it. She personally delivered the arrangement to my wife's office today and EVERYONE was blown away! My wife was shocked and amazed, called me on video and I couldn't believe my eyes. Totally exceeded my expectations and worth every penny!
