I was very particular about the types of flowers used, and Jerri even did a mock trial with me a year before the wedding so everything looked the way I wanted. I was a very detail-oriented bride, so she made sure that all her ideas went by me first. She took her time to explain what would be out of season, and how things would look if we did them a certain way. Behind the reception sweetheart table arch there is a fireplace, and she was so right in adding a pipe and drape! We also initially ordered shorter stands for the round table centerpieces, and Jerri suggested borrowing the taller ones from epic events and they were perfect! One of my bridesmaids is allergic to chamomile, so Jerri made sure to not include it in her bouquet or at her reception table! The only non-issue we had was that the centerpieces were too big for anyone to put in their car! Haha! No worries - everyone made their own bouquets using the many many flowers around the venue to bring home after the party. :) If you are a wedding couple with Jerri as your florist - you are LUCKY! The first proposal Kiyoko sent me was not really on point for my wedding and was a little more trendy/rustic than what my taste is; however, Kiyoko gladly re-did the proposal and got it perfect. She also handled delivering the flowers to us for getting ready while also delivering the flowers to the Church, and after that, the reception venue. Unfortunately, her communication from the start was spotty at best and required excessive prompting on my end. She repeatedly promised quotes and proposals by specific dates and failed to follow through. While I understand that wedding season is busy, this does not excuse consistently poor communication and lack of follow-through when working with clients who are planning such important events. To illustrate, here's a brief timeline: 5/28: Alona emails me in response to an inquiry submitted to her website, asking when I'll be available for a phone consultation. I reply same-day with my availability. 6/8: No response; I follow up. 6/9: She offers a phone consultation for 6/10. 6/10: Phone consultation; she promises a proposal by the next day. 6/12: No proposal; I follow up. She promises to send by 6/13. 6/16: Still nothing; I follow up again. 6/17: Finally receive a proposal. 6/19 - 6/22: Back-and-forth revisions; budget and design issues arise. 6/24: I follow up via phone and text after no response. Still no reply as of 7/2. In the end, I chose to move forward with another florist whose communication, professionalism, and enthusiasm gave me far more peace of mind. I firmly do not recommend working with Alona if you value reliability and clear communication during your wedding planning process.

After vetting 18 floral vendors (yes, 18!!!), Alona came in the strongest and was able to understand our vision the most. She was very easy to talk to on the phone as well as over email. Over the course of almost 14 months of wedding planning, there were times when I had to reach out to her and update our floral count. Alona did not give us a hard time about the updates at all or make it seem as if she was annoyed, unlike how other florists were while I was just vetting them! Our floral vibes were to be basically all white roses, baby's breath, with some boho touches to the arrangements. My initial bridal bouquet incorporated white roses and a few orchids. The biggest painpoint for us was having to lock in the best deal despite how many boutonnieres and corsages we needed for our larger (FIlipino traditional) wedding. Not only did Alona come in the closest to our floral budget, on the day of the wedding, she surprised me with absolutely beautiful touches of white peonies and carnations to my bouquet at no additional cost! Additionally, the bouquets for each of the tables as well as on our wedding cake were full and fresh looking. All of our guests complimented how beautiful the flowers were and wanted to take an arrangement home! I cannot recommend Alona enough for your wedding florals.
