One of my favorite bars! They have friendly bartenders, delicious food, + the overall ambiance is great. The weekly specials are also amazing -- $2 tacos on Monday, prime rib on Tuesdays, $.50 wings on Wednesday, ribs on Thursdays. I've tried the tacos and wings -- both delicious and great deals. They also have great burgers and fries so their whole menu is definitely worth a try. Overall this place is a great neighborhood spot so if you're in the area, check it out! read more

Awesome bar with happy hour and specials everyday. Monday is happy taco day. Bar tender is super friendly. Live sports and good selection of beers. I think it is a bang for your buck. Secaucus is food chain central so it's hard to find a place to chill afterwork that's not a large chain or boring. Came to this place afterwork with some friends for a few beverages and it was a great spot! They had a pretty good whisky selection. The bartenders were fun and friendly. The food was really good! I would definitely come back just for the food alone. A DJ came through which brought the place to life a little bit more. Will probably be back more often with some co-workers afterwork. read more

Met a friend for an early dinner Sunday and we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food! This was my first time ordering off the menu... wow... First time I went was on karaoke night (Wednesday). Since we were sitting next to the speakers it was pretty loud, and the singers were pretty bad but it was fun to experience the bad singing! I stumbled into this place looking for a late, late, place to eat... It's amazing how sometimes you strike oil! It's a pub yes, typical Irish pub atmosphere, but it is cosy, warm, inviting, homey, and the staff are incredibly friendly! They make you feel at home! They make me feel like staying for a longer while, but unfortunately I need to run back to work! Despite their small pub size menu, their food IS DELICIOUS! A "hole in the wall" bar that offers amazing bar food. Prices are a tad high for my liking, however I am not from around the area and have been accustomed to cheaper prices. They always have a special and their staff is very friendly. My only downfall of this bar is the lack of beer they stock. Last time I went, they were out of 3 craft beers I tried to order, but if you love domestic beers, they keep them flowing. Recommend stopping in here at least once! read more

Really love the food at Black Jacks, we always look at the menu but always wind up getting the Rib Eye Sandwich, the steak is so good it melts in your mouth, haven't had a steak sandwich this good in a very long time. To start off, I have been coming here for many years with family and friends since way before it was dublin yard. From casual nights out, to birthday dinners, to even attending events like bingo and brunch. So you could imagine my surprise when when one of their bartenders/waitress' gave me a nasty attitude. There had been some type of miscommunication about my order and even after clearing it up she still had an attitude. While I do understand that it was a very busy night, that still does not excuse your employees actions. One of the who I assume to be owners/managers came up and asked me what was wrong but seemed like he could care less when I started explaining the situation and walked away mid conversation to have a conversation with someone else. I'm extremely disappointed to be writing this review since this is one of the better restaurants in town. I'd also like to point out that the drinks were not good especially for the price and don't sit at the outdoor tables if you actually want your order to be taken even when seated by the staff and they know you're there. I know my review will change nothing but hopefully what I said will be taken into consideration for other customers in the future. read more

It was FREEZING in here when I walked in on a Sunday evening. We mentioned it to the waitress but nothing was done about it. I ate my dinner with my coat on the entire time. It was pretty empty and didn't seem like it would get busier later. I had the steak special which was pretty good. The worst dining experience I've had in quite a long time. If you want to catch Covid, then this is the place for you. The waitress was awful, after shaking hands with her friends who showed up and handling money and whatever else, she carries our drinks to the table holding the glasses at the rim where you drink from. The obnoxious music was so loud the waitress had to remove her mask to scream the beer selections at us, spraying us with her breath. She never bothered to come back for our meal order but busied herself BSing with her friends. Of the 6 or 7 tables I could see, no one had gotten their food. One of the absolute best meals I have ever had... Don't be turned off by the local-bar-like exterior.... GO IN!!!! The food was magnificent!! There were 3 of us in our party; tired from a long day at the dog show... my friend had Corned Beef and cabbage and she raved about it!! Big proportion cooked to perfection... I'm giving BJs 3 stars because the food overall isn't the best quality(although they do have great pretzel bites and fried pickles). Despite this, I always have a great time when I come here with my friends. We've been to BJs for a couple of live shows and the staff has always been nice and the drinks are reasonably priced. I heard they have weekly specials and events like trivia night so I would definitely recommend BJs as a place to come and hangout with your friends.
