I saw how great the reviews were for the Drip Doctor, so called them to come out to fix a leak in the irrigation system. Montana, who had great reviews and was very nice, came out. The ground was wet around the valve box so Montana dug two holes, about six feet from where the ground was wet. He checked the water main and wrote on the bill "no leaks in poly. " He was here for a total of 35 minutes, charged me $175.00, and didn't fix the leek. I called the office to complain and was told he wouldn't do that. So, this 79 year old woman started digging. My son came down from Phoenix and helped me finish the digging until we found the leak by the valve box where the ground was wet. My son called a different company, and as it turns out, the roots on the 40 year old oleanders had invaded the water lines. The roots were cleaned out, pipes were replaced and fixed for $400.00. read more

I scheduled for an irrigation inspection with Drip Doctor. I recently moved to Oro Valley, and I wanted to make sure our system was running efficiently. Mark did a professional job on the inspection. Although I was happy with the inspection, I waited most of my day just waiting around... (scheduled was between 11am to 2pm. ) . Mark was a "no show", so I left the house, after 2pm. I found out later that he did come but late. What a waste of an entire day. Don't you hate it when that happens ! This all could have been avoided with just a little communication. I recently decided it was time to replace my entire irrigation system in my front and rear yard. The owner Don is very professional and easy to deal with. I needed irrigation for my potted plants, upgrading my backyard lights (spotlights and ground lights)and also considering changing my entire irrigation since it keeps breaking and leaking and had it replaced in certain areas twice within 3 years. Pros: - Don was easy to talk to. Responds quickly. Explains the process thoroughly. - works with your budget. He gave me a couple of options to do with or without the whole irrigation system change. Got a good deal with changing the whole irrigation with a heavier tubing. Changed the pipes to copper to avoid rust. Changed valves to new ones. - his guys Greg and Josh were great, they were updating me while working - price is very reasonable - end product is excellent. Cons - I thought hard about this but nothing came. Exceeded expectations. I will definitely use this company again. read more

I noticed that one of my irrigation stations was turning itself off shortly after beginning to run, and suspected a solenoid problem. I then consulted YouTube for how to replace a Hunter valve, assuming the valves were by Hunter because the control box is Hunter. But when I opened the valve box I found valves that looked nothing like the ones in the video, so I went to Yelp and found Drip Doctor. I was surprised at how quickly he had somebody available. Mark showed up and made the same diagnosis I had made, but he recognized the valves as being Rainbird equipment. (BTW, he prefers Rainbird to Hunter.) Since this system is probably at least 20 years old, I asked him to replace all four solenoids. He then suggested replacing the diaphragms as well, which seemed obvious once I heard it. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because a) I wasn't told in advance that there would be a $150 trip charge, and b) after Mark left I found that a different station was not working and had to call him back. As to the trip charge, I should have asked about it when I sent my first email. I was not so much surprised about the trip charge as surprised at how much it was. But everything is more expensive these days than I'm prepared for. As to the second mistake, Mark came right back and found that a ground wire had come loose. This was a minor mistake, but it probably reflects not checking that everything was in order before leaving. Bottom line, I was very satisfied with Mark and Drip Doctor. If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would. Given how old the lines are in this system, I'm sure I will call them again. read more
