The staff was friendly and we had a great time. Little touches like the Fog Factory and the round-the-park train really made the experience better. It generally has the same energy and mood as Disneyland, just much smaller and easier to navigate. The closer your kids get to 10, the more uncertain I am that it would be the best choice, but for toddlers it's heaven and for a decent price. The only downside is that the rides were sometimes understaffed, especially toward closing when we were no longer able to make the most of the park because several rides were abandoned 30-50 minutes before closing. Food is also and . Water is ***$4.50 a bottle*** But it was great and we would come back.

The rides are definitely fit for my precious girl. She did not want to leave. The only negative I would say is that the arcade is waaay too loud. I recommend lowering the sounds of the machines if possible because even I found myself irritated inside but overall we had a great time. We'd come back again.

Designed by legendary theme park creator Wendell "Bud" Hurlbut, the slow-moving, 8-minute dark ride takes passengers on a steam train through a highly detailed, bustling western gold mine. It is celebrated for its mix of realism and wonder, featuring deep underground caverns, waterfalls, geysers, and vibrant glowing stalagmites. Award: Calico Mine Ride received the THEA Classic award in 1998. The award honors exemplary, timeless attractions that have operated continuously for over 20 years and set new industry standards. Background On Upgrade: In January 2014, the ride underwent a massive refurbishment in partnership with Garner Holt Productions. This extensive makeover restored the classic attraction to its former glory by adding over 50 new animatronic figures, new lighting, and enhanced audio while still honoring the attraction's original charm. For a full point-of-view experience that takes you on a tour through all of the ride's detailed, subterranean scenes and glowing caverns: Visitation Rights: Been on this rides countless of times. My heart can't take all these other fast rides no more. Wait Time: Wait time can be long due to having only one train operating. It's a oldie, but goodie. Just keep calm and go with the flow. Location: Located in the Ghost Town section. Ambiance/Decor: A slow moving classic dark ride with animations. It smelled really bad last time when we were in the waiting queue. We originally thought it was the person in front of us... then we started pointing fingers at each other. LoL Once we left the area, the smell was gone. :) Calico Mine For Thought: I wouldn't mind riding the ride again. Hopefully, the smell won't be there the next time we go.

I have a Gold pass and wanted to take advantage of the free admission to Soak City to celebrate my niece's 2nd birthday. Given that Soak City has a bad reputation for the type of crowd it attracts, I found that the park was relatively clean and had no issues dealing with summer crowds. The park is relatively small, but there are enough water attractions suitable for all ages. As a family with children under 7 year old + a toddler, there were plenty of attractions that were kid friendly. Attractions like wave pool (family fave) and lazy river had a pool depth max of 3 feet. Given the size of the park, there were only two restaurant options available. Food variety is very limited (cheese burger, tenders, fish n chips, or pizza) and you can expect to wait AT LEAST 20 minutes in line. Of course, you have the option of using your season dining plan for free meals which was a perk. Food was honestly not the greatest, but it was enough to satisfy the taste buds of a toddler + 6 year old. There is also stands that sell snacks (popcorn, churros, ice cream) One thing that I noticed Soak City does very well is enforcing safety protocols. As someone with small children in the family, it was very reassuring seeing the lifeguards patrolling inside AND outside the water at all times. By the entrances for attractions, you can find lifeguards enforcing children to wear life jackets who do not meet the height requirements before entering. There were also life jackets made available at every attraction. Despite the limited size of the park, my family still had fun at an affordable pricing. As a passholder, would definately would recommend coming back

There have been a lot of updates since my last visit just last year. New eating space inside, additional cabanas, and the outdoor pool has also had some upgrades with new sun loungers. There's a lot to do and you can easily spend the entire day here, like we did, filled with fun family friendly activities for all ages. $40 each for a day pass, definitely worth the price for all you can do. The food situation was a little disorganized, they are revamping the food scene inside the actual water park area, but I think once it's all done it'll be fine. We had a fun day!

Parking is $35 for the day, or $10 for the first two hours plus $5 for each additional hour. I appreciated that the parking structure is covered. One thing that surprised me was how warm and humid the indoor water park felt. The temperature is kept at 84 degrees, which makes sense for swimming but it was a little muggy and took some getting used to. There are several different play areas that help spread out the crowds. We spent most of our time in the toddler/young kids' section, which was perfect for little ones. The kids also had a great time in the outdoor play area. We rented a cabana for the day and thought it was well worth it, especially for larger groups since open seating can be difficult to find. Our cabana included bottled water in a mini fridge, a small locker, two lounge chairs, a dining table, a couch, towels, and thin curtains that could be closed for a little extra privacy (although they are somewhat see-through). Overall, we had a great experience. It's a fun destination for families year-round since the indoor water park stays warm regardless of the weather. We also played a round of mini golf outside, and the ropes course looked like a lot of fun for older kids and adults. We'd definitely come back.
