On Friday, we were looking for 2" x 10", 16' Douglas fir. The boards were stacked just high enough to be awkward, and they were heavy and damp. The two of us must have looked slightly ridiculous wrestling them down -- yet several employees passed by and never asked if we needed help. We were also told T&G plywood was in stock. After waiting 20-30 minutes while someone "went to look," we eventually tracked down a manager who confirmed they were actually out. We spent nearly an hour there and had planned to place about a $1,000 order. The next day, we decided to try Big Creek Lumber right off Hwy 1 - very easy to get to - and what a difference. We were in the lumber yard less than five minutes when someone driving a forklift stopped, turned it off, and asked if we needed help. He walked us directly to the 2x10x16' Douglas fir. When we noticed it was damp, he immediately showed us where the kiln-dried lumber was inside the warehouse. When we still didn't find exactly what we needed, he personally walked us into the sales office, introduced us to one of the agents, and explained what we were looking for. The level of helpfulness was honestly surprising, in the best way. After finishing in the yard, we went inside for hardware. Even in the store, multiple people checked in to see if we needed assistance. At one point, even another customer offered help! The lumber yard is huge, the staff is attentive, and the entire experience was efficient and pleasant. We'll absolutely be back.

We recently bought sidings from this company to repair a minor damages due to a fire in our home…read more Being distressed with our situation along with anxiousness to fix our home, we went to the Campbell location first thing Monday morning to match our siding so we can comply with our HOA standard. We brought a sample of our siding to match it and the person helping us assured us it was the same and so we purchased the 30 pieces we needed. We loaded and brought home the wood only to find it was not the same exact size. We called back to try to rectify the issue but the person we spoke with was not very helpful and told us that was the only size they had and we have to pay a restocking fee if we requested to return the materials purchased. Needless to say our hands were tied and our contractor had to spend extra time to modify the sidings.
