I wanted to like this place, the reviews seemed promising. The actual grooming of the dogs is ok. Not amazing. My dogs never actually were groomed as we had agreed or spoken about. But whatever... My issue has been with the lack of consistency with the customer service. I went of total of 4 times to this place. And every time something came up. The staff has no communication with each other, all the groomers work independently, so they do not stick to the hours of operations consistently or the pricing. Also, the first time I went there, I stuck around waiting for something else in the business next door and one of my dogs, who tends to get anxious was barking and I could hear someone yell at him. Like a grown man was yelling very loud and hard at my dog and it was super unprofessional. I went it to ask what the problem was and Of course they all apologized and said they were animal lovers blah blah blah...but honestly that kind of thing should not happen at all. No matter what kind of dogs are in the facility. I was outside near my car, mind you. And it just never felt right after that. It was always one thing or another. And you can't ask questions because they seem to want to to make the customer feel guilty or as if their fault. When it's their lack of time management or disorganized scheduling and lack of patience that makes the issues. The last couple of times I was there, I was charged differently 3 times for the exact same services my dogs had been getting. The second to last time I was there I asked for a receipt and they told me didn't have any. Aren't you suppose to be able to provide one by law? And the wait time! Oh, forget about it. My dogs were there 7hrs the last time I took them. I understand that they want to push and work on multiple dogs at a time. But they leave the dogs on their own for hours before working on them. Then why not just make appointments for later times!? And the last time I was there, I saw the groomer who was suppose to be working on my dogs, consistently take new dogs and do services for them and bringing them out. All Meanwhile my dogs waited around. When I asked about this, they tried giving me a bunch of excuses. Again. The wait is not the issue it's the guilt tripping and BS excuses. That was another issue. One even asked me if I had any idea of what it takes to groom dogs. It felt like he was trying to scold me - and he was just not even worth my time or arguing. But I have been getting my dogs groomed for 6 years. Once, every 8 weeks. I know and understand the process. I get that it takes time. But there are so many problems with this place. The customer service is horrible. The only reason we left their previous groomer was because she got really big in the AV and a bunch of her new staff started burning and cutting the dogs. But this was after 5 years of going to her. So I know I'm not a problematic customer. This place just needs a lot of work. read more

I was so stressed at the thought of leaving my dog for a couple hours but Apollo assured me my Milo would be fine and he was. This is the only place I will take my dog for grooming. This is by far the worst experience I have had with a groomer!! EVER!!! They have you book an appointment to groom your dog and for what? Just to have them locked up in a cage for five hours and have the nerve to call saying they need more time? They should be locked up in a cage to see how they like it. All these great five stars reviews are bias. I wish there would be a hidden camera behind the counter to show how they mistreat all the dogs they take. There is no patients, care or consideration for these poor defenseless animals. I took my dog today and he looks so amazing! He was in desperate need of a grooming and teeth brushing. He is an anxious dog, so I was a bit nervous about leaving him, but he looked happy as can be when I got him! (Normally when we leave him anywhere, he's upset when we pick him up after leaving him anyway, so this made me feel comfortable with my choice!) Nala is a long haired collie mix. She had really serious mats, and would not tolerate me trying to brush them out. I was a bit worried as to whether or not they would be able to get the mats out. From my first call, they were so welcoming and responsive, and emphasized their desire to make sure she had a good experience. We had a great experience today at The Dogsmith getting my 6lb Yorkshire Terrier groomed. The shop is new and I happened to stumble upon it. I brought my pup in for a full grooming and was very pleased! The owner, Apollo, is so laid back and great with the doggies! He immediately put my nervous, wiggly pup at ease. The hair cut ended up perfectly trimmed and just as requested. I was very specific in my request for my Yorkie's cut and he nailed it. Beautiful work! And the prices are reasonable too! My dog was matted and Nikki did an amazing job grooming her. When I dropped her off they assured me that if they could comb out her fur they would but did not want to cause her any pain if they couldn't. I took my dog there recently, got him back with two cuts. One on his ear and one on his neck, we didn't realize until we got home as we never had any issues with other grooming places before. He also has a horrible haircut, he's completely bald, tail is chopped up. Expensive place just to do a horrible job. I don't recommend this place at all. read more
