I wish I could give them 6 stars…read more Everything, and I mean everything, was completely dialed-in. From the reservation, to the hostess greeting us and helping us even though we arrived an hour early, to the desserts. The server was knowledgeable and helpful in choosing our food and drinks. It's a small menu, but clearly that allows and incredible focus on the quality and the details. I cannot imagine being unhappy with anything listed. This, for us is a special occasion place, simply because of the prices, but WORTH IT.

We had a reservation to celebrate Valentine's Day at Noto (upstairs) for 8:30, so decided to get…read moresome appetizers at Bormio before. It was decently busy for a Wednesday night but there was plenty of bar seating. The decor is beautiful and I especially appreciated their carefully curated glass and tableware--all stunning. Our bartender, whose name I fail to remember, was excellent. She had great beer recommendations. We tried the Hefe Weissbier (my favorite, which paired perfectly with both appetizers), the Meteor Pils, and the Gaffel Kolsch. I'd recommend all of them if you're a beer drinker! The spinach dumplings are a must. They are bursting with spinach flavor and swimming in a rich brown butter sauce. We also tried the alpine dip, which comes with an enormous soft pretzel. It was okay, but the dip wasn't exactly what we were expecting. I'd probably pass on the alpine dip next time. Overall an amazing experience and I look forward to enjoying a full meal there next visit. Be advised that they pride themselves on seasonal menus so if you're eyeing a menu item, get yourself there to try it before it's gone!

The restaurant was fully booked for our date tonight (early valentines dinner), but it still felt…read moreintimate, and the decor was beautiful. We arrived early for our reservation but they were able to accommodate us, and we continued to receive excellent service courtesy of Hadley for the duration of our dinner. My boyfriend enjoyed his Negroni, which was very adorably adorned with an "XOXO" stamped ice cube. I had a glass of the Sangiovese which was excellent with our meal. They require you to order your entire meal at once, due to the very small kitchen staff. We started with the citrus salad, which was shockingly the star of the show. Do NOT skip this! Everything on the dish went perfectly together, I hope to continue to see this on the menu in the future. Our salad was followed by the mafaldine bolognese, which was rich and delicious, with impeccably cooked pasta. We also tried the sugo pizza, which was on their seasonal pizza list. This wasn't our favorite, but still very good. The guanciale was amazing, albeit a little salty with the other toppings. The pizza crust is definitely the star of the show, rightfully so! I can't wait to come back to try more. Many friends had recommended Noto to me, and it certainly did not disappoint.

I thought I left a review the first time I tried this place early last year or late 2024 but I…read moreguess I didn't. I have since been back at least four times. The first time was a great impression. My fiancé at the time ordered a margarita pizza which was delicious. I ordered a garganelli pasta with some sort of red sauce and beef. It left a lasting impression that made us want to come back for more! The impression was so lasting that I made a reservation for my bachelorette dinner to be here but the pizza I ordered fell very short. I think I ate once slice and left everyone else eat it. We got about 3 different other pizzas and they were just okay. The arancini was good and the blue crab pasta was really good and I was like okay I'll order that next time. It was also to celebrate my birthday and they brought out this dessert and the clove flavoring was so bold I spit it out. It was actually not good at all. I felt bad because they gave it to me for free so I just said I was way too full to finish. (First two visits food pics were on my previous phone so I do not have those any longer!) The third visit, I ordered the blue crab pasta and for the price there was barely anything in the bowl for one, but there were also these small chunks of lemon in it and I could not see it so I bit into it with the peel and it was so sour that it just ruined it for me. Ordered the arancini again but there wasn't enough sauce. The burrata was good though. I feel like I can't catch a break lol The last time I went (last night) we rock paper scissored between the shrimp toast and burrata. Shrimp toast won and I had really great shrimp toast from Indo so this fell flat and then I ordered the garganelli with kale and sunflower seeds and it really wasn't anything great and I've come to realize that this place is overrated and I really think it's psychological because there only open certain days of the week and they're so booked out so it MUST be fantastic, but it's just.. good. That's probably the last time I'll go. I feel a lot better spending my money at Katie's. It's more of a 2.5 star rating but I can't do halves and 2 seems like I hated the place but I didn't. It just really fell short the last 3 visits when other places are just so consistent with quality, Noto has been consistent with disappointment. Hot take, I know from other reviews, so take what you will. Other notes * it's pretty loud so prepare to speak up * very small waiting area - more like an aisle really and an outdoor four person space deck with a door leading to a ramp * even if you make a reservation, the exact time isn't guaranteed until the party before you leaves and they don't rush customers (good if you're the one dining, not so good if you're waiting -- had to wait the night of my bachelorette * no tiramisu a tragedy really * dim lighting so very romantic / love the aesthetic * though it's listed as classy, I've seen men wearing cargo shorts, people wear sweats... disrespectful in my opinion but no strict dress code
