Oh My Gosh! The food here is phenomenal ! No kidding, their chicken tenders are the best I've ever had! The taste and consistency were out of this world "delicious"! We were a table of 4 adults and a baby! The waitress, though I can't remember her name, she was awesome! She was also hysterical! We'd asked her for a family photo and when she was done she told us to "look for a surprise later!" We'll she'd taken a silly selfie and it was there waiting for us! Oh My Gosh! Stopped in during a visit to the area. Only ordered take out but what we did order, boy howdy was it good! We got the boneless wings with Dirty Bird sauce and the pretzel bites with beer cheese. The chicken was perfectly cooked with not too much breading and the sauce was amazing. Great flavor and it didn't over power. The pretzel bites were perfectly salted and the cheese was good. Great beer flavor to complement the cheese. Overall a great experience. And that was just from take out. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. Given the menu, I was pleasantly surprised with the dirty bird. The (mostly greasy) menu items all had chicken, hence the name. Being a vegetarian I had to get a bit creative. The staff was very willing to recreate the Philly with no cheese, and give me the chicken on the side for someone else at my table to eat. The veggies were very well seasoned (although a bit oily) and the curly fries were delicious! We also tried to get fried pickles, which weren't available, and instead got onion rings and fries mushrooms. There are plenty of street parking spots available, without charge. read more

Nice inside. Decor is fun. Food was good. Service was less than satisfactory. We were greeted promptly and taken outside to the deck. Once our drinks were brought to us our waitress disappeared for quite awhile. Almost long enough that we contemplated leaving. Finally she showed up and took our order. A friendly young man brought our food. As we were eating, our waitress finally appeared with plates and napkins and mumbled something. We were quite puzzled by this. We ended up having to ask another waitress for our check because our waitress disappeared again. She reappeared with an iced tea to go. I think she realized we were neglected the whole time. So we tried to call are order in but they were not answering so we drove downtown and ordered 20 chicken Wings bone in 10 with BBQ sauce and 10 With the Bacon Sauce The BBQ wings were good the Bacon ones did not have much flavor. Great food, service and drinks! Loved her menu, everything we ordered was great! I had the pickle chips appetizer and the shrimp po boy sandwich. My friends had quesadillas, a salad, and the poo boy as well. Everyone loved the food! Our server was terrific, very friendly, and super informative and attentive! We had a lot of fun with him! Nice little place tucked away in the updated part of downtown Jackson. Here for a benefit otherwise I wouldn't normally be looking in this part of town. Place is clean, well decorated, and staff is nice. Cool doors open up to an ally gives it charm. Drink prices are fair but didn't try any food. I'm a fried chicken fanatic, I search it out when I travel. The Dirty Bird has some of the best fried chicken strips I have ever had. The breading is nicely spiced and they are moist and juicy. With the 5 piece meal it's a generous portion with your choice of fries and an apple slaw. The fries and slaw are also excellent. I'm not a big ranch fan, but their Cajun Ranch is fantastic. I love this place! I've been to Jackson a few times recently to visit family, and I cannot get enough of Dirty Bird's chicken! The tenders are incredibly moist and the seasoning is perfect! I had never been to The Dirty Bird, but I am glad I went there. I was a total surprise inside. I'll bet it is totally different in the summer time, when they can open up all of those big garage door into an old one time alley. Sort of remind you of Paris. So the inside is totally different than I expected and I love the airplane hanging from the ceiling in the back. We all ordered the chicken tenders and they were great, along with being the largest ones I've seen. We took nearly half of the orders home. Parking is a problem and the show in the parking area was a real problem. Our waitperson, Sara, was very attentive did a very good job. I'm sure we will go back and try something else.
