Quaint, right off the interstate, as expected. Those are the words that come to mind. It has some nostalgia appeal to it. The fries were consistent around the table. The chili good but lacked some spice. The burger was good and hand-packed. The buffalo burger was thin and appeared pre-made. My Philly cheese steak had good flavor, but the hoagie was crispy. This food tastes as sad and desolate as its diner location. Pro: cheap, hence the extra star. Con: tastes cheap and service is awful. In the waitress' defense, I heard her on the phone saying the dishwasher and the other waitress didn't come in. I ordered the hamburger steak which comes with eggs, hash browns, and toast. Heard another customer asking for his hash browns that came with his hamburger steak, and the waitress sounded confused. Took him ten minutes to get the point across. Guess what was missing when my meal came out? If you said hash browns, you're only half right because the toast was also missing. I didn't ask for it, because it was a hassle and the food has literally no flavor so why ask for food that tastes awful? We stopped here from previous comments of Yelpers, but what a sad disappointment. We waited over an hour to get our meal and the staff was unconcerned about service. We had to go get our refills and it wasn't even busy. Two groups left due to the delay in service. Our server said she discussed our concerns with the manager but no one came to talk to us or to ensure we were addressed. Total disorganization and zombie like attitudes of the staff. Too bad. We came in moments before they closed. We were greater with a smile. A very polite older lady waited on us. Our food was fresh and hot. The sweet tea was great as well. (I'm a southern gal I love fresh brewed tea). My only complaint is they didn't have fresh lemon but did have lemon juice packets. If you're here for dinner there's a great country bar/restaurant down the road of equal cost. First off I gave them 1 star because Yelp forced me to add at least one in order to write a review. They didn't deserve even a half of a star and to be honest if negative stars were ever possible this "diner" could defiantly win some negative stars. The waitress came back later to inform me they were out of chili so I said well scratch that off. When my food finally arrived she not only scratched my chili but my fries too. My faience' ordered a simple burger with a side of fries ( they didn't scratch his fries thank god!) he asked for extra onions and was charged 3.30 for these extra onions that he didn't receive. One child ordered the kids plate of cheese pizza and we soon noticed he wasn't eating it. I jokingly dared my family to taste it and then we all figured out why he wasn't eating. I came here for breakfast except their isn't any breakfast... A diner with no breakfast ? Yes. So I had to settle for a cheeseburger and it was actually good portion was small but tasty, the fries were crispy so that's a good thing. Long wait to be served, long wait for food, small portions (which I'm actually fine with considering the food was so bad) and no one ever even came to fill up our coffee until they brought the bill. I then asked for another cup of coffee and they did bring me a to-go cup so that was nice. My salad was lettuce right out of the bag, and my BLT was tiny on wonder bread. My daughter ordered a kids grilled cheese, and said it was good...but they only gave her a HALF sandwich (again on wonder bread) for the $5 kids meal. What happened to the other half?!?? Like some of the other reviewers, I would probably give this establishment negative stars, if at all possible. Our group paid $57 for literally the worst dining experience of any of our lives. We're in a touring band, and thus our travel leads us to many diners across the country. This one takes the cake for biggest shit-show. We waited about an hour for factory food that was given literally zero attention. Portion sizes were unbelievably small. The staff didn't give a rats ass. We had our food for 5min before silver ware emerged. We can certainly say from experience that we don't recommend the Philly Steak & Cheese, the Melt, the cod sandwich, the Indian Taco, or the Chicken Filet Sandwich. In fact, I don't recommend that you go anywhere near this place, not even to drop a big stinky in the rather disgusting bathrooms. Subway is across the street. read more

My family and I stopped here on our way home from a great vacation in SD. There is 6 kids and two adults, so we wanted somewhere quite kids friendly. When we walked in, nobody said a word to us. There was staff walking by but not saying anything to us so we had to walk around and find someone and ask if we were supposed to seat ourselves, and they said yes, so we finally did. We waited about 5 minutes before anyone asking questions, and then we ordered both our food and our drinks at the same time. The three youngest kids all got the chicken strips (which is one of the four options for kids, wow) with French fries and applesauce that came with it, and also all ordered chocolate milk. The older three ordered Philly cheese steak, taco salad, and a bacon cheeseburger. Us parents ordered the ultimate grilled cheese and a cheeseburger along with a Diet Coke and ice water with lemons. When our drinks arrived we noticed the ice water came with two packets of lemon juice, not lemons. Also the kids chocolate milk were about two inches tall. When we got our food, the ultimate grilled cheese had basically no cheese at all, the taco salad shell was soggy, and everything else was about average. Half way through I had to get up and go to them and ask for a refill myself since nobody would give us any attention at all. We all ate our food and then the kids and their dad all went to the car except for my oldest daughter and I. We waited at the table for ten minutes with dirty plates with napkins over them and empty cups before going to the front and saying we never got a bill. They brought it to us up front and after reading over it we noticed an extra $9 that turned out to be the three glasses of milk. We assumed the kids meals would come with a drink like everywhere else, but I guess not. After telling the two servers up front about our awful experience they didn't take anything off the bill or even apologize really. If I could give this place negative stars I would and highly encourage nobody to ever go there. The five star review has to be someone that works there. Overall awful service, awful food, and outrageously high prices (about $90 total). I got this app just for this experience. read more
