Cute little restraint and a short walk from my stay. Glad I decided to grab breakfast here instead of Mcd's!! I got the breakfast croissant and an iced vanilla latte for $12. We stopped in a year ago for the Rancher breakfast ... and the potatoes were mushy, and the "over medium" eggs were totally burned to a hard lace on a way too-hot griddle. The sourdough toast was OK, but that's a small part of the breakfast. My wife, however, thought the coffee was OK, so we stopped in again on our recent trip through the area. I ordered the same breakfast this trip ... and got the same result, only worse. This time ... the "over easy" eggs were totally destroyed, the egg whites totally burnt to a hard crisp lace. The yolks were hard and dry. As busy as they were ... a packed house, tables filled with their "regulars" ... who clearly get better service and a lot of attention from the staff compared to us drop-in folk who get our food "delivered" ... I wasn't going to send the food back with a request to cook it properly. To some extent, the staff here goes out of their way to make "outsiders" feel unwelcome compared to their "regulars" who camp out at the tables for an endless procession of their members. When the place is packed and busy, watching the staffers "fawn over" the regulars while other folk are waiting for a table and service ... doesn't reflect well upon this business. Apparently, the line cook(s) at this place don't have a clue about proper temperatures to cook food. No doubt, speed is more important to them than doing it right. You'd think that they'd be embarrassed to serve such a travesty of the cooking arts ... but you'd be wrong. Two tries at this place with the same results ... I won't be back. I got the message loud and clear ... this place doesn't value their patrons except for their regulars. Even The Village Inn is looking attractive now for my next trip to Pierre. read more

Great food! here in pierre for work, best place to eat pierre if I do say so myself. The front girl whos has a red/pink obey sweater that gets your order has had an attitude multiple times. The first time I gave her the benefit of the doubt maybe she wasn't having a great morning. This last time I went I said hello once and goodmorning twice and she said nothing. An excellent choice for a quick and delicious meal. The sour kraut, cheese, and bacon sandwich was fantastic! The quiche was tasty as well. If I lived in Pierre, this is where I would go for breakfast, coffee or meet up with friends like the rest of the locals. I had the breakfast baked oatmeal, like a big fluffy soft fat oatmeal cookie without all the sugar. Served with a side of brown sugar, milk and silvered almond. A side of fruit would have been nice. I love coffee and the coffee was good no disappointment here. My husband had two eggs over easy, sausage, hash browns and toast. His complaint, the eggs were over done and browned along the edges. This is a fun little Bristol with an olive oil and vinegar bar, chocolates and baked goods. Skip Perkins, better food and atmosphere here. read more

I've been here a handful of times, and honestly the service you receive really depends on when you go. The food is decent enough, if they get your order right. The highlight of this place is all the baked goods, confections, oils, spices and coffee you can get. In Addition they make a mean chai. On the downside, I'm not sure I love the atmosphere. Listening to guys make jokes about marginalized communities, and using derogatory terms was quite the turn off. read more

We were in Pierre for a family reunion looking for a cute coffee shop to have morning coffee, and this place was perfect! It's super clean and has a western industrial vibe. It's busy, but the service is quick and the line moves fast. All of us loved the coffee and bakery items, but noticed all the full breakfast items going by to other customers looked fresh and delicious, too! I like the rustic, western feel of the place. I've had good and poor experiences with the food and the drinks. The lattes have tasted burnt, but the coffee has been fine. The bagel sandwiches are really good. I've had a few things there and give the home style cooking appeal. The cinnamon rolls are decent. It's a nice place to sit and chat. There is one waitress there who is middle aged and she's blunt and rude. Everyone else that works there is very friendly and polite. Service is fairly quick. You won't be disappointed. read more

I ordered the Cuban panini and the chicken was very dry the sandwich was slapped together. The only thing I think the did right with this sandwich was the grilled panini bread. My son ordered a grilled cheese and this they got right. They have miss Vicky's chips which are always a good chip. We ordered a strawberry cream soda and a strawberry banana smoothie both were good. If you are going for drinks this might be a good place to do that but if you are looking for good food I'd advise go somewhere else. read more

This spot for lunch isn't just another Panera, it's unique, tasty, and comes with very friendly service. I ordered an americano - pretty standard, but not done poorly. In addition I asked what was good and the Cuban was recommended on a garlic wrap- that was an excellent choice. The wrap is pressed crispy on the outside and still has a good chew on the inside. Good flavors too. For dessert (because I'm an adult and I wanted dessert at lunch) - I had the cinnamon roll. It was super fluffy, and classic flavors. I wasn't a fan of the ice latte at all. It tasted like it was just a concentrated espresso mix, not fresh made. I went there for breakfast and they didn't have any breakfast items with meat that wasn't pork. Ham, sausage, or bacon. We don't eat pork so that was disappointing.. but they did put some deli turkey on my breakfast bagel, not gonna lie. It was bomb. My boyfriend asked for food without pork before I did and was told they had nothing so he just got two pieces French toast and some fruit, which was also really good.
