So far, the Dentists themselves are THE BEST we've encountered! I really admire the calm demeanor and the respectful way that they interact with the patients and staff. I've been very impressed with the dentists skills and efficiency. From the numbing shots to the procedures themselves, patient comfort is their highest priority. I called their after- hours line and shortly after, Dr. Chen personally reached out to me and addressed what I was worried about and assured me that they will provide me with what I need in the office before my surgery. I felt very taken care of and all my questions were answered. I felt very comfortable even though the thought of surgery scares me and gives me anxiety. Her dental assistant was so kind as to let me squeeze her hand as firmly as I needed which was very sweet. Dr. Chen also personally reached out to check in with me after the surgery as well. My previous dentist had clearly told me that if it hurt again, I would need a root canal and a crown. I told Dr. Yeh clearly that I wanted a root canal and had even purchased dental insurance specifically for that reason. But he insisted it wasn't necessary yet and that the nerve was still fine -- so he suggested another filling. I trusted his judgment at the time because he spoke Chinese and seemed experienced. He said he would fill two teeth, but without clearly informing me, he filled three. Afterward, I had pain, bite problems, and eventually a gum fistula -- a sign of infected or necrotic pulp. I contacted him again, but by that point I had completely lost trust and refused further treatment. Even with insurance, I paid around $450 out-of-pocket. The money isn't the main issue -- it's the feeling of being misled and ignored, despite being clear about what I wanted. Now years later, I still regret not insisting on what I knew was right for me. I'm sharing this so others can make better-informed decisions. Just because someone speaks your language doesn't mean they'll act in your best interest. Please be cautious.

Thank goodness they recently closed and arbitrarily moved our records to their Dentists of Auburn affiliate. We had no plans to go to Auburn for our Dental Care and found an excellent Dental Care closer to our home. There are many issues we have had with this Dentistry practice: * High turnover of employees especially having a new dentist almost every year. * Inability to properly work our insurance coverages with their new dentists being out-of-network. * Closed the Covington facility with no notification to us. Most important, the negligence of the dentists to identify the serious nature of my wife's condition, which should have been discovered years prior, put her in a life-threatening situation. The bacterial infection and bone loss from not addressing this issue earlier will result in months of repair, pain, and thousands of dollars to repair. If we were still with Dentists of Covington their negligence could have literally killed her by not identifying this problem earlier and providing a treatment plan to mitigate the damages, Once we found a new dentist, our repeated attempts to transfer our medical records to our new dentists went unanswered. They also continued to schedule us for appointments at Auburn. Our new dentist could not obtain our records so they did a full work up at no charge to us and immediately identified the problem. The tests they performed we never received from Dentists of Covington. Thankfully, Dentists of Covington closed, and we now have a competent dentist. The significant pain my wife will be enduring over the next months to treat her tooth extraction, bone loss (time to regenerate), bacterial infection, and new tooth implant should never have gone to this extent. There is no guarantee it will be successful. This should never have happened.
