The dentist came in and was wanting me to get all of this work done on my teeth and seemed more interested in $$$ than really working with me. Then, after insurance, they were going to charge me over $300 to have wire removed. No, I don't think so and I ended up getting it off myself after 30 seconds driving home. His Staff was friendly and helpful right from the start, showing patience and kindness to me and with my previous dentist office when trying to get my family's past records and dental scans. My cleaning and exam went well, no soreness afterwards, my teeth AND GUMS feel great. Dr. Kwok has a gentle touch, answered some concerns I had, asked questions about past dental procedures/history, and listened. One thing that stood out about this dentist office is that both my hygienist Betty, and Dr, Kwok didn't sit. They stood and had my chair so that my head was at their level, no towering over, no uncomfortable dental chair maneuvers where the patient feels like they are going to be dumped on their head, and no hair pulling! LOL ..and believe me, I was constantly saying, "don't dump me on my head and don't pull my hair today" at every visit with my previous dentist. Not having this added stress was NICE! So I called to make an appointment and I was impressed by how friendly the staff were. They checked for me my coverage and I was able to be scheduled in right the next day. I just needed basic cleaning on my first visit but I have to admit that the service provided was above and beyond, I felt very comfortable because the staff took away all my apprehensions away with their confidence and expertise.

Unlike any other dental places I've been to, they didn't even clean my teeth. Then the Asian male dentist (I didn't get his name) told me that I will need a deep cleaning and 9 fillings. After insurance is billed, I would have to pay about $1000 out-of-pocket for this recommended plan of care. I was shocked and troubled by Rewards Dental's recommendation. Mind you, I went to a different dentistry about 7 months prior and that place didn't tell me I needed a deep cleaning. In fact, they put me on a 1-year cleaning schedule as opposed to the 6-month schedule that I was accustomed to. They also didn't indicate that I needed any fillings done, let alone 9 of them. Today I just went to a different dentistry to get a 2nd opinion because Rewards Dental's plan of care for me seemed outrageous. The new dentist confirmed my suspicion because she didn't think I needed a deep cleaning, and she only recommended 1 filling which will only cost about $90 out-of-pocket. I am really appalled by Rewards Dental. This is clearly a case of an individual (or a practice) who prioritize profit over their patients' well-being. The unethical behavior found here is unacceptable. I hope this review will deter some people from going to Rewards Dental of Kent and in turn avoiding getting ripped off.

I still make that drive because this team is truly exceptional. From the moment I walk in, I feel respected, seen, and genuinely cared for. Molly and Val, in particular, are two of the most incredible people I've had the pleasure of knowing over the years. They are the reason I continue to come back. Their warmth, kindness, and professionalism make me feel completely safe and comfortable every single visit. Before coming here, I used to hate going to the dentist. I wish I could give ZERO stars! After nearly a YEAR of dealing with Gentle Dental in Lacey, I feel obligated to warn others. I wouldn't want ANYONE to experience what I've been through! PATIENT SAFETY & CONSENT: I personally witnessed items dropped on the FLOOR, picked up, and placed directly into my MOUTH! I was also asked to sign electronically without being allowed to read what I was signing. NOT ONCE was I provided a written treatment plan, despite repeatedly requesting one! QUESTIONABLE CASH PAYMENTS: The previous office manager repeatedly scheduled my appointments late in the day and told me she couldn't accept my card for copays. I had to go next door, withdraw CASH, and return to pay her. When I requested receipts, she said the payments would be credited to my account and I'd receive emails. I NEVER RECEIVED THEM! Then one day I was told I had an OUTSTANDING BALANCE! I was shocked because I NEVER left without paying! I asked them to speak with the previous manager and was told she no longer worked there. When I came out, I received COMPLETELY DIFFERENT partials than what I'd repeatedly requested! I PAID FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT WANT OR ORDER! And the LOWER PARTIAL BROKE IN LESS THAN A WEEK! DENTIST YELLED AT ME: Eventually, a dentist apologized and promised to replace the partials "for FREE." FREE??? I ALREADY PAID FOR THEM! Months later, I was shown another mock-up that STILL wasn't what I'd requested! I literally began CRYING, holding up my original partial AGAIN, saying, "But this isn't THIS!" Instead of listening, the dentist YELLED at me and told me they would no longer treat me and I should find another dentist! EXCUSE ME? You take my money, don't provide what was promised, give me dental work that BREAKS, and then refuse to treat me? THREATENED WITH POLICE FOR REQUESTING MY REFUND: The dentist agreed to refund me, but the manager said she couldn't process it without speaking to the dentist, who was too busy. I said I'd WAIT, even if it took until after 5 PM! I called my daughter to explain what was happening. I was moved into a private office and told the dentist REFUSED to speak with me. The manager said corporate would issue my refund. I insisted on getting that promise IN WRITING before leaving. THEY THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE! I finally received something in writing and left. OVER 90 DAYS -- STILL NO REFUND! And just recently, they called saying my partials were READY for pickup at 1 PM! Shocked, I thought maybe I'd give them ONE LAST CHANCE. LESS THAN THREE MINUTES LATER, THEY CALLED BACK! Apparently, the employee was new, made a mistake, and suddenly there were NO partials ready! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? THIS ISN'T JUST BAD DENTAL WORK.
