Best dentist in town. Thanks to Dr. Dhaliwal I underwent an implant procedure at Complete Dental Care a year ago. Recently, I faced issues with the implant, but after discussing it with the Dr. Dhaliwal, he immediately scheduled an appointment for the next day. My experience during and after my visit was not satisfactory. I was advised most of the things we were doing were going to be covered under my insurance. After the first filling, they advised I do another one that I needed. They continued to say " You are covered until the end of 2020 and our appointment time fills up fast so since the doctor can do it now and since you are covered, you should get the other fillings." I went with that and trusted that her statement was true. Months later, I get billed from them $800 saying I was just outside of my insurance date and my insurance couldn't cover it. ..... I emailed their billing department and advised that I cannot afford that. I trusted you talked to my insurance and I went with your advise to do more work. They stated that my insurance told them I was covered the day I came in but at no point did they even contact them before operating. They offered a payment plan. What part of " I don't have $800", don't you understand ? We are in the middle of a pandemic and you think this is ok? Even if there was a payment plan, I am not paying $800 due to your mistake. It does sound silly to blame the practice when it seems like a miscommunication between them and my insurance however, that is an expensive miscommunication. Before I provide my review, I would like to provide a brief dental history. I have had a lot of dental work done considering I moved to the US from a country where dental hygiene was not a thing, so you can imagine how much money and time I invested to get my teeth to the state they're in. I have multiple crown, implants, fillers and I also had invisalign. I brush my teeth twice to three times a day and I floss every night with regular floss and a water pick, I rarely bleed when flossing. I recently moved to WA and first thing I did was make an appointment to get a cleaning since it's been over 6 months since my last one. When I arrived to the dental office this afternoon, I was asked to take some X-rays and then the Dr came in and looked at my teeth and recommended 2 fillings (which was expected). The dental assistant did her thing and then the dental hygienist comes in. She pokes around at my gums to check for health and any signs of gum disease. She immediately says that my gums look great and she sees very minimal bleeding (which makes sense since I floss everyday). Then she starts the cleaning using this very loud tool that sounds like a drill. She nicks me multiple times to the point of me bleeding a lot and flinching. I have had this tool used on me before and it never felt like that before. She then stops and says that she actually recommends a deep cleaning???? To my surprise, I ask her why? (considering just a few minutes ago, she said that everything looked great). She gets offended that I am questioning her (I could tell from her tone). I found it super odd that she got defensive over me asking why and explaining that the reason I'm bleeding a lot is most likely due to her using the tool improperly as she seemed as if she was in a rush or something. I just couldn't understand why she would recommend such an invasive procedure to a 27 year old, non smoker, who flosses religiously right after she said everything looked great. There have been many cases of dental offices recommending unnecessary procedures, which is why I was questioning her decision. read more

I had the best patient experience at this dental office. My sister referred me after being turned downed by another local dental office, Panther Lake Dental, which I have gone to for a couple of years. (I will update my post for them soon). The waiting area and front desk staff is warm and welcoming and not cold. It is refreshing and has a lovely aroma of softly scented flowers, not the usual dental office smell of novocaine and rubbing alcohol. There is happy music, from the 70's and 80's funk era, playing throughout, which makes me at ease from visiting the dentist. The dental team is gentle and caring, they make sure you are comfortable as well as knowledgeable about your specific dental needs. To my new dentist and care team, I want to say Thank You for helping me make feel like apart of your family and not judging me for my past dental experiences and outcomes. I am optimistic of regaining a beautiful smile through our new partnership. I usually go to Seattle for my dental care, but I wanted to find a doctor closer to home so I came here. They had trouble finding my insurance when I checked in, but figured it out after taking my SSN. During my dental cleaning the hygienist asked if I wanted a deep clean. I asked if I'm eligible for it and can they check. I told her I had one 1.5 years ago so I'm not sure if I'm eligible. She told me she will ask the front desk to look into it and let me know. They came back and told me it's ok to proceed and I just have to pay a copay. The cleaning was painful because they barely numb, I didn't say anything because I tolerate pain pretty well. The dentist spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me, I don't even remember his face. I paid about $100 during the visit. It has been more than half a year and now I get a bill for almost $700. I called to ask about the bill and they said I had a deep cleaning 1.5 years ago and am not eligible for it yet. I told them if I had known, I would have declined the deep cleaning, but they told me I had coverage during the appointment. Dental offices that I've been to have access to these things and are able to tell me what I'm eligible for and what I'm not. The woman on the phone told me to call my insurance and figure it out with them. I'm so frustrated and shocked. I don't understand why a deep cleaning would cost me about $800 out of pocket. That ALOT of money! My husband I are never coming back here. Go somewhere else for you dental needs. read more

The doctor here has explained everything in detail and sometimes on multiple occasions to help me understand what needs to happen and why. He has been very patient with me. I have always had high anxiety when it comes to visiting a dentist office. I had a dental emergency and had to be seen. I found Complete Dental Care in Kent and made an appointment. From the moment I called I knew this office was different. The front desk staff was amazing, kind and understanding. The rest of the staff was the same. They all went above and beyond to help me feel as comfortable as possible. In my 36 years this is the only dental office I have found that I will definitely go back to. For right now I have state dental coverage and this is one of very few places that has one dentist who takes it. Sadly, what I needed done was not covered. I have had pretty bad teeth all my life and hated going to the dentist because they have a tendency to make you feel ashamed and embarrassed. My boyfriend and his family recommended me because they have been going for years when the practice belonged to Dr. Haner. Well Dr. Dhaliwal and his staff are amazing and make you feel so comfortable and anything but ashamed. In my short time as a patient they've made a lot of updates and modernizing of the office and it's really turning out great! Dr. Dhaliwal is really cool, relatable, and very very very kind and professional. I had the dentist experience from hell with another dentist a few months ago. The misdiagnoses and lack of care left me in pain for 3 weeks so severe, I couldn't sleep and had actual tears running down my face, and I'm not the crying type. Decided to start over and find a new dentist. My insurance led me to Complete Dental & Dr. Kaur. I am so happy I landed here. From the time I called to book my appt (which they got me in the next day on a Sat!), to when I was leaving my 1st appt, I had the best experience. The front desk staff, the hygienist & Dr. Kaur all made me feel very welcome and comfortable. My new treatment plan seems like it is far superior and detailed than the garbage I had got a couple months ago. I have my 2nd appt tomorrow and I'm actually looking forward to it. Really liked my experience at Complete Dental Care! I am a new patient an they were able to get me and my entire family in the same day I called to schedule. They were so nice and helpful from the front desk to hygienist/dental team. The also helped me SAVE MONEY, and when you have a big family who doesn't love saving money!!! This is a good place if you just need a regular cleaning or a simple filling done. I would advise anyone to go anywhere else if you need more advanced work done, like a crown or implant work. I have an implant on my front tooth, and I knocked the crown loose while chomping on a pretzel. So, I made an appointment with Complete Dental Care. I was in a lot of pain, and was not able to eat with that tooth because it was loose and painful. The first appointment I had with them was pretty much useless; they set me up with one of their dentists in training, so he had no idea what was wrong and said he didn't understand why I had pain! And I said well I knocked my crown loose so obviously there's gonna be pain. He just looked really confused and set me up with another appointment for 2 weeks later, when the specialist would be in. So I came in to my second appointment and the specialist assured me that he could easily fix my tooth and "we'll have it done in a week's time and we can exactly match it to your other teeth to make it look natural". But he wasn't prepared to do the work that day; so I had to make yet another appointment for the next time he would be in; another 2 weeks. So during all this time I was in pain and it hurts to eat, but they offered me prescription pain medication. Well I didn't want to take opiates every day for a month, since I suspect that's not very healthy. So I just opted for ibuprofen. Here comes the next appointment. The dentist literally lost the screw to my crown. We were looking everywhere for it, because they didn't have a replacement. I was on my hands and knees on the floor of the dentist's office along with his assistant, looking for my screw. Dentist finally finds it; it was in his hand the whole time. Dentist says "well we're not actually doing the crown today, you'll have to make another appointment for that. Today we are just doing the abutment." Okay well he had told me everything would be fixed "within a week". So I had to make yet another appointment, another 2 weeks out, to wait for my crown. The 2 weeks passes and I go in again for my 4th appointment. There's nobody there. I can hear laughing and chatting in the back room which I suspect is their break room, but no one is in the lobby or able to check me in. They had asked me to come in 15 minutes prior to my appointment, but they didn't end up checking me in until 5 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. So I had been there for 20 minutes with no one checking me in, because the staff was apparently throwing an employee birthday party that day. Even though I had this appointment confirmed for weeks. So finally, a lady comes out of the back room with an infant on her hip. I'm not even sure if she worked there. She asked me and the other patrons in the lobby if "everybody was here". None of us even knew what to say to that. Then the receptionist comes bustling in through the front door; obviously late for her shift. She hurriedly checked me in and I finally got to the chair. The specialist tried putting my crown in, but it turns out he had ordered the wrong color. It was pure yellow. By this time, I've run out of paid time off at work because I've had to keep coming in for more and more dentist appointments. So I told them they would have to accommodate me and get me in next week, after I was done with work. It was another week and a half until I was finally able to go in for my final appointment. This process took almost two months, when the specialist had specifically told me it would be done within a week. The end product is fine; it's not a perfect color match but I was just so frustrated that I just agreed to accept the work and pay them so I could leave. There were many other issues I had with them, but for sake of saving time and character space I will end it here. read more

Not even one star I would offer this place. I came here with a dental emergency. Had bad dry socket and was told they don't take medicaid. I said I understand and said I would just need to call an ambulance to take me to emergency room. I'm diabetic and the infection is already making my blood sugars high. I am disabled and cannot drive. When she heard I would call an ambulanc, this heartless and judgmental receptionist asked me to walk far away from the building because she didn't want to scare the patients. I felt completely judged and labeled because I am on medicaid and disabled. Find a better place to have your teeth fixed!!! read more

I visited Complete Dental Care a couple of times in the past months to get an extraction, a fill, a cleaning, and to fix my chipped tooth. Every visit, I left happy. The Complete Dental Care staff is extremely diverse and friendly. Specifically, Dr. Dhaliwah and Dominic - They have changed my dental experience. They removed 3 of my wisdom teeth and a few fillings within an hour. This is such a surprise because I thought it would take hours! But, I am sure this depends on the person. When my autistic son advised me that he broke a tooth, I cringed knowing that I was going to have to find a dentist. I started checking on the internet to find which ones would take my insurance. After may phone calls. I found Complete Dental Care. I had called several times to make sure this would be a right fit. They were always very nice and helpful. They were able to provide me an appointment that fit into my schedule. Dr. Dhaliwal was so nice on the first visit. He took a look at the tooth. And even checked all of his teeth and X-Rays. This was bad news. He had cavities in just about every tooth. There was 2 root canals needed and 1 extraction. At the end of this first appointment. Dr. Dhaliwal advised me to bring in his headset and music. This is a great idea for anyone that would like to relax while their teeth are being worked on. Dr. Dhaliwal has a very soothing and calming voice. He reassured my son that the dental work is needed and that he would fill better after each appointment. And when my son asked for a break. He was able to do this for him. At this time we have seen Dr. Daliwal nine times. And the last appointment was for the tooth that was to be extracted. Dr. Dhalwal was able to save that tooth. As a mother with an autistic child. A dentist is very hard to find that can work with them.And one that they are not afraid of. I so glad I found Dr. Dhaliwal. He is a fantastic dentist. Just found out from another dentist that a rather large piece of tooth was left behind after an extraction done here June 2nd 2010. Never really had any pain but 7 years later my body is pushing it out threw my gums. Now with another dentist sending them my X-rays I hope to start the process where they finish the job I paid for in the first place, and would rather not pay another dentist 290$. will post with update. read more

My daughter and I have different types of dental insurance, both accepted at Complete Dental Care, which is very convenient! We've been going there for a couple of years, and have had a good experience with making appointments, all of the friendly staff, and Dentists too. Early in the evening last week, out of the blue, one of my front teeth fell out!! It was probably a 25 year old crown, and it just broke off! This was a front tooth, and I had work the next day!! It was one of those nightmares become a reality!! I tried talking with this gap, and air would flutter my lips around, and you can imagine trying to hide your mouth for a few weeks!! I was in a panic, it was the evening and their office was just about closing! They said to hurry in and they would see what they could do. Unfortunately it wasn't just the crown that fell off, the whole tooth had broken off. They needed to put a post in first in order to put the old crown back on until the new one came in a few weeks later. Dr. Dhaliwal and one of his assistants were willing to stay after hours that night to do all this work! What a relief! Dr. Dhaliwal and everyone is his office are AWESOME! read more

Amazing is to say the least of this dentist office and staff. I have had some pretty gnarly dark spots on my teeth for as Long as I can remember, I've been to dentist in California and Arizona and nobody could help me. They had no clue what, why, or how these stains got there and why they were to difficult to remove. Once I moved to Washington I booked an appointment to the nearest dentist office to my home and sure enough I've been extremely blessed to be near the best dentist I've ever met in my life. She diagnosed my teeth the first visit and was able to research it with me and show me what defect I had while I was growing in my mothers womb. We booked an appointment for a week later and I can finally be happy with smiling; something I've always wanted to be comfortable with my whole life. In all honesty, there's nothing to change about this dentist office and staff. Once you arrive and check in there is no long waiting, dentist assistants are in right away to see you and give cleanings/X-rays, dentists don't keep you waiting. I highly recommend this dentist to everybody in the Seattle area, they have made me extremely happy and satisfied. read more

This is a great dentist! The staff is all very nice and they take great care of you while you are there. I have been here twice so far, once for a cleaning and most recently for some fillings. During your procedures they are very thoughtful and concerned about if you are comfortable or in any type of pain. The fillings I got turned out great and I experienced no pain from them in the days following (which has happened to me in the past from other dentists). We went to go see this dentist at the recommendation of my husband's family. Both my husband and I had fillings done in January and left the office told that we had no balance due. In late March we received a bill for over $400 between the two of us. It was then explained to us that my husband had work done on old fillings which was not covered by insurance. This was never communicated to my husband and he was never given a quote before the service was performed (I was given an itemized quote to sign). He was also never given the option for silver or composite fillings (which I was) and the composite fillings were at extra cost to us as insurance did not cover those either. When we confronted the dentist about this we were told that silver was not as good as composite and that they didn't do silver. This did not explain at all how I was given the option. After much back and forth over the next month they took the extra cost of the composite off and sent us the revised bill. It was still over $270 which had us paying for all of his fillings. To top it off the office manager said to me, "what did he think he was coming in for? Fillings cost money." The deduction of the composite cost (a mistake on their part mind you) was removed from the bill and labeled a professional custody and they sent the bill to us with a red past due stamp and the total was circled in red. We did not find this very professional. The dental work received was well done and the dentist was skilled in his work. The real issue we ended up running into was the professionalism. Needless to say our family will not be returning. read more
