I'm 48 years old, and this place was the worst dentistry I've ever been to…read more My first experience at this dental office will also be my last. The waiting room was crowded and noisy, all the furnitures were super worn out, and the floor was dirty with trash. The uncleanliness followed in the exam room. The dirty counter in the exam room was definitely an omnious sign of my appalling experience with them. Since I was a new patient, they took X-rays and proceeded to exam my teeth. Unlike any other dental places I've been to, they didn't even clean my teeth. Then the Asian male dentist (I didn't get his name) told me that I will need a deep cleaning and 9 fillings. After insurance is billed, I would have to pay about $1000 out-of-pocket for this recommended plan of care. I was shocked and troubled by Rewards Dental's recommendation. Mind you, I went to a different dentistry about 7 months prior and that place didn't tell me I needed a deep cleaning. In fact, they put me on a 1-year cleaning schedule as opposed to the 6-month schedule that I was accustomed to. They also didn't indicate that I needed any fillings done, let alone 9 of them. Today I just went to a different dentistry to get a 2nd opinion because Rewards Dental's plan of care for me seemed outrageous. The new dentist confirmed my suspicion because she didn't think I needed a deep cleaning, and she only recommended 1 filling which will only cost about $90 out-of-pocket. I am really appalled by Rewards Dental. This is clearly a case of an individual (or a practice) who prioritize profit over their patients' well-being. The unethical behavior found here is unacceptable. I hope this review will deter some people from going to Rewards Dental of Kent and in turn avoiding getting ripped off.

Are you kidding me?…read more After my routine exam and cleaning in January 2026, I scheduled two appointments for July to have a deep cleaning completed. I went in on July 24 for the first half, with the second half already scheduled for July 31. On July 29, I received a text informing me that the hygienist would not be in and that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I called today to reschedule and was told the next available appointment isn't until November. I could understand a long wait if I were a new patient or if I had missed or canceled my appointment, but that isn't what happened. Their office canceled my scheduled appointment, and now I'm expected to wait several more months to complete a procedure that has already been started. This is extremely disappointing. When an office has to cancel a patient's appointment, I would expect them to make a reasonable effort to get that patient rescheduled rather than simply putting them at the back of the line. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in this practice, and I'll be looking for a new dentist. If anyone has recommendations for a good dental office, I'd appreciate the referrals.

I am writing to provide feedback about my recent dental cleaning appointment with hygienist…read moreNavreet. While I appreciate the professional care I ultimately received from the dentist, I felt that my interaction with Navreet was unnecessarily rude and condescending, which left me feeling disrespected as a patient. During the appointment, Navreet strongly recommended deep cleaning every 3-4 months. When I asked for a clear explanation of why this frequency was necessary, her responses felt dismissive. She mentioned "deep pockets" and when I inquired further (including whether my flossing habits might be a factor), she replied that we had already discussed this during a previous visit -- something I do not recall. However, even if it did occur and I don't recall then she shouldn't make a statement like that. There is nothing wrong explaining again if customer does not recall. I felt she was pushing the treatment plan without providing a satisfactory explanation tailored to my questions and concerns. When I expressed that I preferred to continue with periodontal cleanings every 6 months, Navreet continued to insist on the more frequent schedule, which frustrated me so I again responded that 6-months is fine and if you keep forcing this then I have right as a customer to go elsewhere. In response, she made a comment along the lines of "fine, you are a customer, right?" in a tone that felt sarcastic and disrespectful. This interaction made me feel that she was more focused on being "right" than on respectfully addressing my concerns as a valued patient. In all my life, I haven't seen any one so blatantly forcing treatment plan on the patient and when patient deny treatment plan then basically replying with "seek treatment else where if don't accept". The thing is I feel that my teeth are perfectly fine so I don't need this aggressive deep-cleaning every 3-4 months. Also this treatment plan is expensive where most insurances don't cover. I recommend some sort of disciplinary action for this individual as her behavior is wild and not acceptable in any work place; especially in a patient care environment. Additionally, her communication style throughout the appointment came across as patronizing. For example, she questioned me in a tone and manner similar to a teacher speaking to a student or boss talking to employee such as asking how many times a day I brush my teeth and after hearing me responding that I brush and floss once a day then instructing me to "try brushing two to three times a day". I want to note that Dr. Julie Kim who joined later explained the situation clearly and professionally, which I greatly appreciated. However, Navreet's final remark when I walked out -- "see, she agreed with me" -- reinforced my impression that the interaction was more about proving a point than providing courteous patient care. Note that this same issue has been going on for many dental cleaning appointments in the past with Navreet and only after today appointment; I decide to write a feedback.

First, the receptionist was incredibly rude. I stood at the counter waiting to check in, and she didn't greet me, acknowledge me, or say a single word. Completely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Second, my husband and I have had crowns done here less than two years ago, and during both our annual X-ray they found cavities under the crowns. That should not happen if the crowns were sealed and done correctly. Because insurance only covers replacement crowns after 10 years, we were stuck paying $540 out of pocket--even though their poor work caused the issue. Thankfully one of our newer insurance policies covered a small portion or else it'll be much higher, but still, this should never have been necessary. Between the rude front desk service and the subpar dental work, we're done. After a decade with this office, we're leaving because it's clear the care and professionalism are no longer what they used to be. I hope they improve for future patients, but we won't be returning.

She was great. Very caring. She cleaned my teeth and after 2 hours I was out of there. I hadn't been in 2 years so the cleaning took a bit. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place. Dr. "Mike" Archuleta was great, I really liked him and…read morethe dental hygienists. He has retired and many of the hygienists have left as well. First, the front desk/office staff have always been difficult. I previously wrote a bad review about the time they told me that because I had two different insurances, I could have 4 free cleanings per year (2 per insurance.) I didn't believe that because I've had 2 insurances for years and had never heard that. They scheduled another cleaning 3 months later, and actually called me to confirm that my secondary insurance would pay for it. I had a record of the call (why else would I have a 5 minute call from them?) Then, after the cleaning, they told me I'd have to pay for it out of pocket! In the end, Dr. Mike waived the fee, so I stuck with them rather than find another dentist and agreed to delete my review. The dentist has changed but the front dest staff continues their nonsense. They will change your appointment time on you. I have the text messages. I had an appointment for noon, then I got a text message reminder for 1 p.m. I called and texted but I couldn't get in touch with anyone, so I went at 1 p.m., figuring maybe they had changed my appointment for some reason. I would have preferred noon. When I came in at 1 p.m., the staff acted annoyed, saying, "You're an hour late, but we'll try to fit you in." I showed them the text message that said 1 pm, she said "We're not responsible for those." What? What do you mean? Who is responsible then? Were you "hacked?" Even seeing my screen (I'll post a screenshot), they still did not apologize. That's the level of professionalism you're dealing with here. Then, while I was in the waiting room, another man came in and they said his appointment was last week. The man argued, "No, I have the message." The man had a bit of an accent, maybe English wasn't his first language. The woman kept saying, condescendingly slowly, "Last week." She ended up saying she would try to fit him in. He never got his phone out, but I'm willing to believe he had an incorrect message just like I did. Does this go on all day? Do they never think that maybe they're the problem? Get your system figured out or at least apologize, don't blame your patients. When Dr. Mike was there, I rarely needed work done. I would get a cleaning & exam, I didn't have any pain or issues, he'd say "Everything looks good, we'll see you back in 6 months." When I first met the new dentist, she said I had to have all my fillings replaced. I asked why since everything seemed fine and Dr. Mike never mentioned an issue before. She said that because they are old, they could crack. I asked, can't I wait until they crack or there is an issue? She said no, if you do that, you could end up in a lot of pain or need a root canal. And, she said, you never know, you might not have great insurance when they crack. I scheduled the first one. And, wouldn't you know it, she cracked my tooth in the process or removing the old filling! It got infected, I had to go on antibiotics, I ended up needing a root canal, and I developed a severe lactose intolerance from the antibiotics. Luckily the lactose intolerance resolved after a few months, but all of that pain, multiple appointments, paying my copay for the root canal, and months without yogurt or cheese, all of that from something that was completely unnecessary! As I mentioned, the hygienists that I liked had all left. Maybe that's a sign that the dentist is difficult to work with, maybe it's a coincidence, but while I was having work done it sounded like the dentist made some passive-aggressive comments to the hygienist like. Maybe I misunderstood or missed the context from my angle, but she said a few things like, "Well, I'll just hold it if you're not going to hold it." I think there's a trickle down effect, a bad dentist who doesn't get along with their staff is going to lose good staff, and the patients are going to suffer. I waited a while to write this review, I wanted to find a new dentist first. Maybe things have improved. But there are plenty of other dental offices in the area, I'd recommend that you avoid this one like the plague.
