Dr. Haeger clearly knows what he's doing! After two visits, my daughter's teeth are already starting to straighten out in the right direction! Unbelievable! Nice staff, very friendly. But after my last visit where I was able to compare Dr. Haeger and Kirby Nelson, I chose the latter for my last child. And I would have preferred to continue with Dr. Haeger as two other kids "graduated" from there, but something rubbed me the wrong way. Seemed like he was jaded and didn't want us as customers anymore and even said to my kid: "if you want to do this, that's ok, or do that, it's ok, and if you don't want to come back, that's ok too". Nothing wrong with what he said, just a feeling. And his staff and him kept saying we will do the scan now so you don't have to come back again and save you an appointment. Which was nice of them, but saying it over and over made me feel like "oh let's move along and you don't have to come back and bother us anymore". I know that's not what they said, but felt that way somehow. After that, I just didn't even open my mouth anymore to ask any questions about treatment. Sometimes can't put my finger on it but as a parent had a feeling I better go elsewhere this time. And after I took two other kids there, decided I don't want to return. Years ago, I felt much different as a customer taking the other kids. I guess they are too successful now and don't really need more repeat customers to add. Also, if you choose to give Invisilign a try and then something doesn't work out because there is always such a possibility with kids, they will charge you $2000 to switch and $100-150 for a lost one. Check out Kirby as they came out cheaper by the hundreds, comparing apples to apples, and they will not charge you for switching once if something doesn't work out (but only one time). Seems they understand children better I think and not nickel and dime you for things which can happen. read more

Dr.Haeger is the best orthodontist in town. He was recommended by my primary dentists. He has 2-locations and both of his locations are modern. The layout of the office is kid friendly and the staff is very nice. I got my braces from him and have recommended his service to multiple people who have gotten their kid's braces or retainers from him. When I had my first treatment he had given me his personal number for any emergency. I had sent him pictures once too because I was in pain and he responded within a couple of minutes. His service includes everything you need to clean your teeth and braces as well. His pricing is reasonable and only takes patients if he meets your needs. I got my braces during college and during interviewing season for work. He ensured that he would get the job done before I start my full time job and did not let me down. I am going to start by saying that the staff is great, super friendly, and positive. My wife went there cause she works on the dental field and since she refers lots of patients there I thought she was going to be treated right. I had to not work for a while so I lack on making a payment. I had been told by the doctor that my wife was going to get her braces off the next visit so My wife was really excited. She went to the appointment and she was told she wasn't going to have them removed. That the appointment was just to change the bands and she needed another appointment for an evaluation, that was a lie cause she had this appointment for the evaluation. Later the same day the office call her and told her that they were not going to remove her braces until payment was done. And that illegal. We will never refer to any more patients there. At all. We had some trouble but it was never our intention to not pay. Especially since like mention my wife has referred lots of patients there. To your response: Well, you agreed over the phone that your staff did make a mistake by saying that, that the reason you didn't take the braces was because a lack of payments. Also, you mention that you tried to contact us. When? Also this last visit my wife had told you that I was outside, cause i did not have a mask. And you told her. He is not worth it. I mention that it was only fair that the way we were treated we could get a discount. And you also told me over the phone I'll think about it. But we learn our lesson. And I forgot to. That your staff keeps calling me her dad really? If they don't know they should keep those comments for them selfs. read more

I was referred to Dr Haeger as a possible candidate for braces. My teeth have always been great - no fillings - but several gum grafts have been done over the course of many years. As I've gotten older, despite excellent dental hygiene, wearing my nightguard, etc., my teeth are experiencing gaposis where food goes to live. Always so nice to smile with food in your teeth... not! And it makes good dental hygiene even more important. So... I've seen Dr Haeger twice. The first time to evaluate whether I was a candidate for braces, and specifically Invisalign, and the answer is yes. He referred me to a periodontist to ensure that we were going down the right path simply because I have had the gum grafts and do have a bit of bone loss. The perio did a baseline, explained what braces would improve (bone density in certain areas - yay!), and sent me back to Dr Haeger. My second visit with Dr Haeger was to get the impressions done so that the treatment plan can be created, as well as the Invisalign molds. I should start wearing them in 4 - 6 weeks, whenever they have been completed. The process is lengthy upfront, but saves time during the wearing period. Additional bonus with Invisalign is flossing and brushing are easier to maintain than having hardware on my teeth. While not everyone is an Invisalign candidate, I am happy that I am. And the good news - they are the same cost as conventional braces. Dr Haeger's office is well-run, and friendly. I didn't see any disgruntled patients in the waiting area, and I have been well-treated with all of my questions answered thoroughly. I'll update this review over the course of my treatment, and as my smile and dental health is restored. So wonderful to have options. Updated 10/8/10 I am now into my second set of Invisaligns. What this means for those who don't know is that the orthodontist uses the impressions that were done on my second visit to create the treatment plan by modeling the changes via computer, which then generates a series of Invisalign "braces". I wear each set for 2 weeks at 22 hours a day. I take them out to eat, and to drink anything besides water (yes, including coffee, tea), brush, floss and put them back in. The first 2 weeks were very easy. I didn't experience any headaches, toothaches or jaw pain. It took me about 5 minutes to get the second set put into place the first time. A slight moment of panic, but yep, got them in, and again, no headaches, toothaches or jaw pain. I only have the uppers right now. After the 3rd set has been in for the 2 week period, I'll see Dr Haeger again to make sure I'm doing ok, and to get the lowers. A co-worker who had Invisaligns said my experience may be "more intense" at that point. I'll keep this review up to date at that point. One of the many cool things about Dr Haeger's patient website is a video comprised of 25 different images that represents the progression of correction. It's really fun to watch. I am already seeing a difference visually, but in flossing, too. Things are starting to move. Yahoo! .... Uh, I mean Yelp! ;-) Updated 7/17/2011 I am now on set #20, and see Dr Haeger in a couple of days to get my next sets. There are 24 total for this first phase of the treatment plan. I have only experienced "intense" with 2 sets for the lowers, and still entirely manageable without aspirin or Tylenol. It's been a very interesting process. My experience with Dr Haeger and his team continues to be excellent. I've never been kept waiting. I had a slight mishap with 1 set of lowers in the back (molars) which is where I lever the Invisaligns up and out (for eating, drinking, etc). This set was still somewhat tight, and the area where it fit over the back molar was going to break off. I called the office and left a message on Sunday, they called me Monday morning and got me in that afternoon. Since my molars are not being realigned during this first phase, it was not a problem. Dr Haeger simply removed the area that was breaking, and voila, they were back in my mouth. One additional thing I really like - educating their patients on proper dental hygiene during braces (metal or Invisalign) is one that they do well. Picked Haeger Orthodontics based on talking with parents of one of my child's friend. They did a lot of research and I can't remember what exactly they said because it was a while ago before I decided to take my children there for Invisaligns. But I believe part was the price and the services they offered over others and they were happy with the results. Another reason I picked Haeger is that I went to another orthodontist for a consultation for one of my children and he looked and checked out my child's mouth jotted things down and gave me an estimate and said it would involve grinding down some teeth and pulling one out and so on. When I went to Haeger they scanned my kids teeth digitally and quoted me a price. And the child that the previous orthodontist said teeth needed to be grinded and removed well Haeger did not do any of that and it turned out great. read more

We absolutely love Dr. Haeger and his staff! My teen needed braces and we were refereed by our dentist to Dr. Haeger. She was nervous about getting braces but at our first visit that disappeared. Dr. Haeger is genuinely the sweetest person. He discussed what she needed and how everything was going to progress. We had been told prior that she would require an expander, braces, head gear, and rubber-bands. Dr. Haeger said she would only require braces then they would see if she needed the bands to adjust her bite. It was reassuring not to have extras pushed on us for no reason. The staff was amazing quick with processing our paper work with the insurance. It was the smoothest medical visit we've ever had. Dr. Haeger even called the day after she got her braces on to check up on her and to see if we had any issues or questions. Our follow-up visits have been just as wonderful. I went to have my teeth straightened (as an adult) and (primarily) the space in between my front teeth closed. I've been told by dentists I would likely have to have surgery on my gums to have the space closed and stay closed. Dr. Haegar told me at my initial visit, it would not be necessary. After 2 years, my braces were removed, I was so excited my teeth looked perfect. Unfortunately, devastatingly, I still have the space. I wear my retainers faithfully as advised. But maybe 5-10 minutes of taking them off that space comes back. After several return visits to Dr. Haegar and the other orthodontist, for filing to get the gap to stay closed, he eventually told me that I should probably go to see a dentist getting my teeth bonded to close the space. I invested more money because I heard he was the best. However, I wish I had saved my money and time versus spending $6000 and 2 years and not even getting what I had hoped for. Yes, there are free cookies and coffee, I'm sure kids love all the fun things at the clinic, but to me it was not worth it. read more

Dr. Haeger has been my daughter's orthodontist for more than a year. All 3 of my kids have had an initial examination by him and he found that only my 2 younger kids were in need of braces. My experience was wonderful here! From literally start to finish, including my check ups with my retainers only, after my braces were removed, it was wonderful! All the staff are there to help you as a patient and answer questions as needed. And each encounter was always positive. The offices were always clean, and the atmosphere was always so positive. I recently started a search for a local orthodontist for my two children. We were seen for a free evaluation in July 2018 at Haeger Orthodontics in Maple Valley. This was my second orthodontist and I immediately felt comfortable and scheduled 1 of my children before leaving the office. What amazed me most was the phone calls from Dr Haeger himself following up with me to introduce himself prior to my child's appointment and then immediately following later that day to see if we had any questions or concerns and to just check in and see how she was doing. He loves his job and his patients and they also have wonderfully friendly front office staff! I am grateful I found them, with two kiddos in braces for the next 4 years I think it is important to find a team that is so friendly and caring. The prices are reasonable (as it can get for orthodontists) and he didn't push or offer anything we didn't need and I knew this from having prior evaluations with other orthodontists. The decision to get braces again as an adult involved a lot of time-consuming research but it led me to Dr. Haeger and I couldn't be more pleased with the results of my treatment. Don't get me wrong, having braces as an adult was a bit of a hassle and the first two weeks were pretty painful. But, the staff and Dr. Haeger supported me to get through that time with phone calls from the doctor to check on me after the initial appointment when the braces went on to providing me with Dr. Haeger's cell phone for any after hours emergency (which I used once to inquire about taking extra Ibuprofen). Now that they are off and my teeth are so beautiful and straight, it seems like the time flew by and any discomfort is a thing of the past! There was never a waiting time for my appointments and all the hygenists were very professional and a pleasure to chat with during treatment. And, I love having straight teeth! read more

I recently moved to the area from California, and of course my permanent retainer began to come loose. I called Haeger Orthodontics and was able to get an appointment within the week. The day before my appointment, Dr. Haeger called me personally to welcome me and inquire if I had any questions prior to my appointment. When I went to the offices, I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and welcoming the environment was. I waited in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes before I was helped by someone for my appointment. The consultation for my retainer was quick and thorough, and luckily they were able to fit me in immediately to fix my retainer! I was out of there in an hour tops. Dr. Haeger was so friendly, welcoming, and professional. I felt like my concerns and needs were heard by Dr. Haeger and the staff. But my dentist needed to replace 2 crowns that I had received when I was 15 yrs old, and really wanted me to give him some room in my crowded mouth. We came to Dr. Haeger in 2009 for a consultation on getting my 12 year old sons bite fixed because he had an under bite where the bottom jaw is on top of the upper jaw he told us he can get it fixed with braces where he would pull back the bottom jaw and pull the upper jaw out. We agreed to this treatment that cost over $6,000 that insurance did not cover that we had to pay out of our pocket. Than he put on the braces he had them on for a year or year an half .Than he said the bite was corrected and took them off a lot earlier than what he told us in the beginning. We think that he took them off way earlier.Than about 3 weeks later his jaw started to shift back to how we first brought him in. So we went straight back to his office. He said that he had no way in knowing that it could grow like that and that we would have to wait some time till he's done growing and that he would have to put on the braces again and that will just have to pay $350 extra for that. We kept coming in to his office every 6 months for check ups. Not ones did he tell us that the bite can go back to how we started. Than after he turned 16 they told us that he's probably done growing that there is 2 treatment options either jaw surgery or pull out 2 of his front teeth and get the braces for extra $1500. Plus we would have to get 2 root canals and crowns on two of the teeth that would cost another couple thousand. We were outraged, we paid so much money for treatment that got no results. We are shocked at this that he's such a professional that he couldn't of known that he would grow more and couldn't tell us to do this later. And is now not wanting to fix his mistakes or refund our money. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to Dr. Haeger especially with a bite problem. I feel like he's just treating us a business opportunity and we were not treated fairly. read more
