Dr. Heck told me I just needed old fillings replaced, and the treatment plan will cost me under $2k. I encourage anyone to a) get a second opinion always and b) see Dr. Heck! She is honest, and caring and kind and personable. I look forward to have my treatment plan done by her and I despise the dentist! Also, the office is comfortable and quiet which is the complete opposite of the other office I visited which was loud and chaotic.

The new plan was a healthier more cautious route as well as more cost effective. They have a "calming menu" where you can request a blanket, headphones, warm neck pillow, etc. for more comfort and dental anxiety which I think we all can agree that we all get! There was a literal big screen tv showing a YouTube video of a 3rd world grandmother butchering a lamb...blood and all. When pointed out and explained how uncomfortable it made me, the dentist proceeded to laugh it off and then do nothing to fix it. She then proceeded to tell me that she was happy because that day was "her Friday". If a medical professional ever says that. Leave. After she injected my gums with zero warning and I start crying in the chair and ask why she didn't warn me she said "that's how I prefer it" then the dentist proceeded to sarcastically take her time "babying" me and proceeded to ask In the most condescending manner "is that betterrrr". After I couldn't take the pain and discomfort I was left sitting there crying waiting for the numbing to work. She came in 10-15 minutes later and said, continuing the condescending tone, "are you done being mad at us" After all of this they call me 30 minutes later to tell me I had a filling approved by the va "finally" and need to come back in for another appointment. 6 months later I come back thinking it's a different one. It's not. Still give it a try...the videos are the same. I start crying because of how triggering the images were to my experience and ask politely for the tv to be shut off and the assistant working an X-ray machine told me, she, "doesn't know how to work the tv and needs the doctors help working a tv. I left before the dentist could get to me, so they very well could have switched dentists but the fact they were still showing the same videos made it seem like it was going to be the same traumatic experience as last time.

This place instills fear in patients with unethical money grab practices and pressuring patients for same day procedures. I came here after getting on a new insurance and could no longer go to my old dentist as he was out of network. Reviews were overall good for this place so I figured I'd give it a try. I was having no oral pain or discomfort, just knew I was overdue for a cleaning. I was told I had multiple cavities and stage 3 gum disease. The way I was told about the gum disease was extremely bizarre. After the examination, the dentist showed me a chart with the stages of gum disease and images for each. She asked me where I thought I fell on the chart. I guessed one of the lower options and she then decided to tell me I had stage 3 gum disease (on the higher end of the spectrum). I was so caught off guard by the approach and immediately felt extremely uncomfortable by the way that was shared with me. They pushed for me to get treatments same day but I knew I needed to GTFO. I got a second opinion from another dentist and he was shocked at the approach and alleged work I needed done/ disease diagnosis. My new dentist says I just need a good cleaning. I'm really glad I went with my gut and didn't let them pressure me into getting work done that day. Get a second opinion before consenting to any work!

I like getting my cleanings because the hygienists are always really nice and the let you watch Netflix while they work (the TVs pull out to be over you and they give you the remote). The place is very clean too, it's a nice environment. I like it better than my last dentist so I'll keep coming and I would rec it to anyone with fairly straightforward dental needs! I have been needing to get my wisdom teeth out for over two years and finally I was in a place…read morewhere I could kind of afford it. So after a recommendation, I decided to reach out to Dr. Largent's office and see if I could get my wisdom teeth out pretty soon from the time of the call. They not only got me seen right away for a consultation, but then I was able to be seen for the extractions right away (which I needed with my busy schedule and the amount of pain I had been experiencing). Not only was I treated incredibly well, but also after talking to Dr. Largent and his staff, all my anxieties about getting the teeth removed were also removed :) The following week, I had the extraction, and it was incredible. I mean extractions are not fun experiences, and I had a minor anxiety attack, and Dr. Largent and his team immediately helped me breathe and feel relaxed. I was definitely freaking out and they made me feel better and not embarrassed. The extraction was easy and the recovery process was even easier. They not only made the experience wonderful, professional, and memorable, but also we got to talk about music (he's a musician!) and they made the whole surgery super affordable for me (they truly took care of everything!) I can't recommend them enough. Grateful for them, wish I went to them when I had my lower widsom teeth extracted! Love y'all forever!

Even the sound of the drill gives me the willies. It takes one impressive dentist, and even a more impressive dental hygienist, to make me comfortable. The staff at Dr. Williams' practice have done just that. From the women working the front to his dental assistant and hygienists, they're all top notch. I just completed a round of intensive cleanings to get me back on track, and my hygienist (Becky) was outstanding. Always making sure that you are comfortable along with just enough friendly chat to keep your mind off of the scraping going on in your mouth. I previously had a terrible experience going to another dental office in Austin, so I was very selective when finding another office in the area. After a few visits at Blue Sky, I can say that Dr. Rightmer and her assistant do a great job with making me feel comfortable and educated in regards to teeth health. The office is clean, nicely decorated, and the front staff is always kind and fun to talk to! It is also big bonus watching Netflix when getting a cleaning! I had some teeth sensitivity after getting a filling so Dr. Rightmer worked with me and we redid the filling and now I do not have any teeth sensitivity! Glad I can chew gum and floss without wincing of pain. It did take a few months to get me scheduled for my cleaning, but after I was scheduled I could easily get appointments. They are closed Friday-Sunday so you can count of Blue sky dental to be there Monday-Thursdays 8:30 am- 4:30 pm!

I am so impressed with my smile that has returned after another place broke it off. Had huge bone infection that spread to many (6 plus) over time and all that infection was draining into my mouth and going into my blood. I feel a million times better now and love that I have my smile back. The quality of care was top notch. I even can text the dentist and ask questions and talk about any issues I had.

Called the Doctor here in the morning and had X-Rays done and both teeth pulled within a few hours. This Doc seems to be on a mission to provide reasonably priced dental care in the Austin area and I'm onboard. Hope he never goes out of business, gave a $100 tip also as an expression of gratitude for his professionalism and for what he's doing for this city. Thanks again, Doc, and thanks again to the Doc's assistant. Austin would be very much worse off without this Doc's dedication to his practice. I feel so much better already too. One thing I'll note is the Doc is very honest and direct and I like that because I'm exactly like that too but if you're one of those people that like things verbose and sugar coated and enjoy beating around the bush, you may be confused here as most medical places tend to hire admin people to beat around the bush and be indirect and that's not the case here, if you ask the doc a question he'll give you a straight answer, he knows his stuff and he'll tell you exactly what's up and you may or may not like the answer but that's on you, I prefer my Doctors honest so I loved it here. After coming to this office for a few years I was up sold on so many things I didn't need, first being a mouth guard I never use (and surprise my teeth are fine though my dentist acted like my teeth were going to fall out without it) and countless fillings. The last year I had with them mid 2024 I believe I was quoted 1,600 dollars worth of work including a crown. I was devastated, but trusted them and scheduled with them. Something in my gut felt off about having another year of so much dental work when i religiously cleaned my teeth so I went for a second opinion. Turns out the second dentist didn't see any work I needed to get done. I was shocked to go from drilling countless spots in my mouth to no work needed. Now it's 01/06/2026 and I just went and got x rays again and told good job no extra work besides cleaning needed today at another dentist. I'm so glad I didn't go to grand oaks for a crown and multiple fillings I didn't need and trusted my gut. It's been years and my teeth are fine contrary to what this office said(they made it sound like my teeth were horrible and needed this work asap) Id never return to such a greedy and predatory dental office that's obviously only looking to make extra money and give you dental work you don't need. Hate to have to write such a horrible review, but I'm still haunted by this experience so I had to share.
