Dr. Heck told me I just needed old fillings replaced, and the treatment plan will cost me under $2k. I encourage anyone to a) get a second opinion always and b) see Dr. Heck! She is honest, and caring and kind and personable. I look forward to have my treatment plan done by her and I despise the dentist! The new plan was a healthier more cautious route as well as more cost effective. They have a "calming menu" where you can request a blanket, headphones, warm neck pillow, etc. for more comfort and dental anxiety which I think we all can agree that we all get! My aim here is not to tell you I have had the best teeth cleaning (I did) or Dr. Evans did a fantastic job of "drill 'em, fill 'em" (he does) but what I attest is above and beyond and of paramount importance to us all - a matter of trust. I suddenly had two serious dental issues needing special treatment and care. During my consult with Dr. Evans we discussed every minute detail of what treatment options to consider, what to expect, and how this all could affect my future well-being. I previously had a terrible experience going to another dental office in Austin, so I was very selective when finding another office in the area. After a few visits at Blue Sky, I can say that Dr. Rightmer and her assistant do a great job with making me feel comfortable and educated in regards to teeth health. The office is clean, nicely decorated, and the front staff is always kind and fun to talk to! It is also big bonus watching Netflix when getting a cleaning! I had some teeth sensitivity after getting a filling so Dr. Rightmer worked with me and we redid the filling and now I do not have any teeth sensitivity! Glad I can chew gum and floss without wincing of pain. It did take a few months to get me scheduled for my cleaning, but after I was scheduled I could easily get appointments. They are closed Friday-Sunday so you can count of Blue sky dental to be there Monday-Thursdays 8:30 am- 4:30 pm!

She runs the financial role of the business and I could not be more impressed with her professionalism and experience with navigating insurance companies, Care credit, and a patient's priorities. I'm a hairdresser and deal with a wonderful and very affluent clientele. I felt like I looked cheap with messed up teeth. The consultation was incredible. Dr. Christy Tu is a perfectionist. It was such an educational and solution driven experience, that I followed all of her advice. I later found out she went to the USC school of dentistry. A top tier school for general and cosmetic dentistry. I didn't way my implants to look like chiclets. I wanted them to look real and natural. She nailed it. I couldn't be happier with the results! The office is clean and modern, all the hygienist are so nice and thorough (wish I could remember their names). I can't recommend Westgate Family Dental enough!

This place instills fear in patients with unethical money grab practices and pressuring patients for same day procedures. I came here after getting on a new insurance and could no longer go to my old dentist as he was out of network. Reviews were overall good for this place so I figured I'd give it a try. I was having no oral pain or discomfort, just knew I was overdue for a cleaning. I was told I had multiple cavities and stage 3 gum disease. The way I was told about the gum disease was extremely bizarre. After the examination, the dentist showed me a chart with the stages of gum disease and images for each. She asked me where I thought I fell on the chart. I guessed one of the lower options and she then decided to tell me I had stage 3 gum disease (on the higher end of the spectrum). I was so caught off guard by the approach and immediately felt extremely uncomfortable by the way that was shared with me. They pushed for me to get treatments same day but I knew I needed to GTFO. I got a second opinion from another dentist and he was shocked at the approach and alleged work I needed done/ disease diagnosis. My new dentist says I just need a good cleaning. I'm really glad I went with my gut and didn't let them pressure me into getting work done that day. Get a second opinion before consenting to any work!

There was a literal big screen tv showing a YouTube video of a 3rd world grandmother butchering a lamb...blood and all. When pointed out and explained how uncomfortable it made me, the dentist proceeded to laugh it off and then do nothing to fix it. She then proceeded to tell me that she was happy because that day was "her Friday". If a medical professional ever says that. Leave. After she injected my gums with zero warning and I start crying in the chair and ask why she didn't warn me she said "that's how I prefer it" then the dentist proceeded to sarcastically take her time "babying" me and proceeded to ask In the most condescending manner "is that betterrrr". After I couldn't take the pain and discomfort I was left sitting there crying waiting for the numbing to work. She came in 10-15 minutes later and said, continuing the condescending tone, "are you done being mad at us" After all of this they call me 30 minutes later to tell me I had a filling approved by the va "finally" and need to come back in for another appointment. 6 months later I come back thinking it's a different one. It's not. Still give it a try...the videos are the same. I start crying because of how triggering the images were to my experience and ask politely for the tv to be shut off and the assistant working an X-ray machine told me, she, "doesn't know how to work the tv and needs the doctors help working a tv. I left before the dentist could get to me, so they very well could have switched dentists but the fact they were still showing the same videos made it seem like it was going to be the same traumatic experience as last time.
