We were coming back from the Annheiser Busch Brewery and decided to stop in this area for dinner. This area is full of entertainment and dining options such as live music venues, movie theater, bowling alley and all types of restaurants. Named on the the 10 Great Streets of America!

The Delmar Loop streets are full of art, food, and culture. It's a popular hang for the young and young at heart. Located just outside of the Washington University campus it's one of my sons fave places to hang as a college student. In the 1950s, the Loop began to decline as the streetcar system was dismantled. However, the Loop experienced a resurgence in the 1970s and 1980s, as a number of new businesses and restaurants opened along the street. Today the trolly has returned and it's a vibrant area of University City neighborhood of Saint Louis to live and recreate. The Loop's revitalization was due in part to the efforts of local residents and businesses, who worked to make the Loop a more attractive, warm, and welcoming place as it is today. From its eclectic shops and restaurants to its lively music and theater scene, there's always something to explore. Some of my sons favorites are Salt + Smoke, Fritz & visiting school friends that reside off campus. So whether you're looking for a delicious meal, a trendy place to stay, a fun night of music & karaoke, or possibly a bit of shopping. You are sure to find it on The Loop.

We had a great time in the Delmar loop featured a lot of need statues and cool things to see you. Chuck Berry statue is featured predominantly in the town center.

This place is a cool little space. We went on a Tuesday evening. A lot of the stores aren't open during the evening. The trolley doesn't run during the week either which we were bed out about. Based off the time we went it's really only a place to get food, dessert or go to a bar. We had two small children so I don't suggest you go at night. I think the kids would enjoy it better during the day time. We tried food at a few places here look out for those reviews( peacock, blueberry hill, snow cone) This is an area I would like to check out again especially during the day. Maybe next time I'm in STL me and hubby can go and have drinks and listen to music.

Being born and raised in St. Louis City, I've always been a the Delmar Loop and all its glory over the many years. I love how I can come her for incense at Sunshine Daydream, coffee made my way at Starbucks or Blueprint, protein shake from Smoothie King, sushi, Cicero's pizza, FroYo, Chipolte, Insomnia Cookies, thifty jewels from Rag-O-Ramo (now called Avalon), a scoop of sin from Ben & Jerry's, a tasty Mission Taco or Seoul; whatever your vice, groceries from United Provisions, a tat at Iron Age Studio, bowling at Pin Up or wings from Pi Pizza all in a 1 mile radius. BUT.... sorry to alarm you, lol the kids terriorize this beautiful area on the weekends during summer months. It ridiculous how they have no order or respect for those trying to have a simple night out on the town in peace. Sure there's a curfew but I mean really....did you obey curfew when you were underage? I wish I could put a few of them over my knee but what's the point. I'll still be here enjoying my beloved Loop. You should too

The variety of stores seem to be getting lower and poorer. The Galleria use to advertise, "Where the Best Stores put their Best Stores". Now when I stroll the mall, I'm lucky if I see a familiar branded store. I basically only come for two stores now. I shop the Apple Store, which I am surprised is still located in the mall. I would have expected them to depart to a strip center somewhere else in the metro area. The other store I frequent is Tommy Bahama, but I don't shop there as often as I use, too. I can now just go on line and have it shipped to my home. My most recent visit, I could see the wear and tear of the Galleria and a desperate need for repairs and maintenance. As long as Apple remains a tenant, I'll keep coming back.

We stopped in last night only to pick up an online order, and that was the sole reason for our visit. This mall used to be the place to shop in St. Louis, great department stores, solid dining options, and an overall upscale feel. That's definitely not the case anymore. It's gone downhill significantly. Many of the good department stores that used to be here are no longer in business or have moved elsewhere and tons of new spots have aken over some of the spaces, but I am not very familiar with many of the new stores. The visit itself felt uncomfortable. There were police officers and security guards throughout the mall, and a lot of people just hanging around who didn't seem to be shopping. The space felt louder, messier, and not very inviting. On top of that, the mall now closes at 7 PM on a Saturday, which is pretty shocking for a mall this size. I assume it's for safety reasons, especially since there are signs posted stating that all minors must be accompanied by an adult. It's disappointing to see how far this place has declined. The shoppers who once gave the Galleria its appeal have clearly moved on elsewhere.

Also, it's very spacious and a great way to get your steps in! I make it a goal to visit these shops every year on my birthday which happens to fall in December. Word to the wise: if you want to avoid crowds, it's best to go early and maybe even on a weekday. Most of the stores have really great prices and also some unique finds. However sometimes when the stores get super crowded and the checkout line is wrapped literally around the store, it becomes challenging to see the full scope of everything that is on display. Recently I went on a Saturday afternoon and walked out of two really popular stores simply because they were way too crowded and the long lines were a deterrent. Says a lot about the stores though. People saw some really great deals and were willing to go the distance for them. If you enjoy shopping and the great outdoors, this is the place for you. I am only giving 4 stars because there were a few outlet stores that I would've liked to had seen moved to this location after the Taubman Outlets closed, which wasn't too far away. Having those extra stores there would've really set this place off for me, as being one of the best local hot spots!

There is a lot of money in this mall and some of the stores were very pretentious (Louis Vuitton, here's looking at you!), but it's a fun browse and if you are looking for one of these stores in particular, you're in luck bc they're all housed here under one huge shopping mall.
