However,…read moreit's transformed considerably from a smallish indoor/outdoor mall into a several scattered shopping areas. Aldi anchors one section, Duluth Trading Co. another. Bass Pro stands by itself and stand-alone businesses are spread along the edges. The parking lot is nightmarish. One bottleneck occurs at busy Aldi directly inside the Fifth Street entrance. Columns hide pedestrians until they step into the traffic lane, making for sudden stops by unaware drivers. The other bottleneck is at Bass Pro due to shoppers crossing the driving lane. A better entrance is the Fairgrounds Road entry, or from Boone's Lick Drive. Mark Twain Village has a lot of variety. Had a chance this past weekend to visit the grand opening of the new Saint Louis Premium Outlets…read morelocated in Chesterfield, MO. This is actually the second outlet mall to open in this area however the selection is far superior than the other location. The Adidas Factory Outlet is very similar to the location in Osage Beach, MO however it is slightly smaller with a more limited selection. Prices seemed reasonable however compared to the Osage Beach location I didn't really find any great sales, probably since this location just opened they are holding back some of the higher end sales. Overall this is a great addition to Saint Louis/Chesterfield and I will be back to check out future deals!

Saint Louis Galleria gets sadder and sadder each time I shop. When I come, I am always shocked with…read morestores that have opened and closed. The variety of stores seem to be getting lower and poorer. The Galleria use to advertise, "Where the Best Stores put their Best Stores". Now when I stroll the mall, I'm lucky if I see a familiar branded store. I basically only come for two stores now. I shop the Apple Store, which I am surprised is still located in the mall. I would have expected them to depart to a strip center somewhere else in the metro area. The other store I frequent is Tommy Bahama, but I don't shop there as often as I use, too. I can now just go on line and have it shipped to my home. My most recent visit, I could see the wear and tear of the Galleria and a desperate need for repairs and maintenance. As long as Apple remains a tenant, I'll keep coming back.

We stopped in last night only to pick up an online order, and that was the sole reason for our visit. This mall used to be the place to shop in St. Louis, great department stores, solid dining options, and an overall upscale feel. That's definitely not the case anymore. It's gone downhill significantly. Many of the good department stores that used to be here are no longer in business or have moved elsewhere and tons of new spots have aken over some of the spaces, but I am not very familiar with many of the new stores. The visit itself felt uncomfortable. There were police officers and security guards throughout the mall, and a lot of people just hanging around who didn't seem to be shopping. The space felt louder, messier, and not very inviting. On top of that, the mall now closes at 7 PM on a Saturday, which is pretty shocking for a mall this size. I assume it's for safety reasons, especially since there are signs posted stating that all minors must be accompanied by an adult. It's disappointing to see how far this place has declined. The shoppers who once gave the Galleria its appeal have clearly moved on elsewhere.

We enjoy Trainwreck Saloon and Westport Social for entertainment. Westport also has seasonal entertainment throughout the year like October Fest, in which the BF enjoyed. We tried schnitzel for the first time. Halloween events for the kids to trick-or-treat. A beautiful Christmas light display. There is plenty of parking and the area is nicely lit. There is a heavy police presence that frequently drives around.

This place was huge with many bins filled with all kinds of things. You need some time to go through everything. I'm not experienced but there are professional searchers there so I just stand next to them and watch them go through it and if there is something that I like then I will take it if they don't. I got a cool Spider-Man/Venom shirt for about 50 cents. There are many good deals but you will need some time.

I didn't visit the clothing area because I doubt I'd wear anything that came from this Goodwill Outlet, though I'm sure there are some gems. Goodwill Outlet is a scrapper's paradise. Not just a reseller's... I mean a metal scrapper's. Someone filled a cart with all kinds of metal goods. I didn't check prices, but the last time I checked, most things were by the pound. Tip 1: Get there early or you'll be waiting around for parking. Tip 2: "Early" may also apply to the afternoon, as the hours online suggest they close for 2 hours for lunch.
