This is my first time coming to the Mid Rivers Mall. I have been to a mall in the St Louis area in quite a while but to be honest this small and so is pretty mid like the name entails. This mall is only about half full store occupancy wise. It was really empty coming here in the middle of the afternoon. they had a fair selection of stores mostly chain stores or small business stores. Most of the stores aren't too bad at all, the cleanliness isn't too bad and a food court is okay for what it is. Restrooms are not the best either. read more

Just like most malls in America, Mid Rivers Mall has gone to hell in a shopping cart. There's empty spaces and the spaces that are occupied are stores you've never heard of or they're low end retail. The common areas were clean, but the public restrooms not so much. The mens room could have used a quick visit by the custodian crew. I can honestly say, the only two stores worth shopping are, The Backstage at Macy's and Dillard's Clearance Center. You'll find some awesome bargains. read more

Nice quiet mall. Plenty of stores with good sales but my main ones are Jc Penny, Bath and Body Works. Lane Bryant and Maurice's. All staff are friendly . Food Court could have more variety. Prices vary from store to store. I'm sure you can find stores to match your budget. This mall has safe vibes for loners who love peace of mind, security and quiet. read more

I grew up in the 1980s and 1990s and there is something about a mall that is comforting to me. This one is still a worthy stop, especially to pick up something quickly, make a return, or just walk. They keep it clean. There are people here but not so many people that it's tough to walk around. There are still 4-5 stalls in the food court. There are still some decent stores like H&M, American Eagle, Victoria's Secret, etc. I'm a fan and I'll be back. read more

Filthy bathroom... Like most malls in America, Mid Rivers appears to be struggling. I understand, therefore, that the budget is likely tight. However, sanitation is not the place to cut corners. The women's restroom was disgusting, and not in a way that happens over just a few days. Deeply-ingrained bacterial and fungal growth was obvious in multiple locations. I snapped a few quick shots before I got the heck out of there. Btw, I tried to submit this feedback via their web form but it gave me an error code. I called but got stuck in a purgatory of menus and "leave a voicemail". No easy way to directly submit feedback = public airing of grievances. I gave the mall three stars. Two of them are because we still had fun, most of the actual stores seemed clean and I saw a security person, which suggests some attention to public safety. The third star is a pity star for the hard-working retail employees who will lose their jobs if this mall goes under. read more

This mall deserves four stars for just the fact it's open and active. It's one of less than a handful of regional malls left from many that dotted the suburban landscape even 20 years ago. At Christmas, the lower level looked reasonably healthy with perhaps 80% of the storefronts occupied. That's much better than two months ago when more windows advertised leasing opportunities. Upstairs, empty spaces were still much more evident. Though the two-level space where Sears was is vacant, Dillards, J.C. Penney, and Macy's still anchor the mall's other corners. Of the non-anchors the larger stores include V-Stock--a used and new media retailer with two-levels, Dick's Sporting Goods, and H&M. The usual mall chain stores fill in between. Best Buy has a store in a corner of the parking lot. The food court has two active fast food restaurants and an ice cream spot. It was hard to tell if a third restaurant was open as employees weren't evident. Two pretzel makers in the mall add other snack options. There is no full service restaurant inside the mall but St Louis Bread Co. (Panera), Chili's, and Ruby Tuesday are on outlots. A multi-screen theater supplies current first-run films. read more

This is a great mall and you can come in here and pretty much get any gift for anyone during the holidays. A lot of stores have gone out of business sadly so I feel like there are not as many options as are used to be however, you can still find a great deal of items with a large selection. They always have a seasonal events going on in the middle of the Mall such as Santa or the Easter bunny, which I think it's great. They also do pictures with your dogs for Christmas and Easter, which I think it's great that they are dog friendly. They often post these events on Facebook, so definitely check it out. Good for mall walking, but the glory days are long gone. It's down an anchor store (Sears). The bookstore (Borders) is now a V-Stock. The food court has downsized. Marcus did a major makeover / upgrade on the theater after they bought out Wehrenberg, so it's got that going for it. Never had any bad service here. Value? Well, it's not Plaza Frontenac. You can find some deals at Macy's and / or JC Penney. read more

Not a bad mall but there's definitely better options. The theater is nice- always clean and we've never had any problems going there. Most of the good stores closed down so I don't really come to this mall anymore. Also there's rumors I've heard about trafficking going on here so I'd watch out for that- otherwise I've had no problems! read more

As malls continue to dwindle, it is nice to see one still going strong. There are lots of stores here. Can be busy. Always go here for Black Friday. Two stores are crazy busy on that day: Bath & Body and Victoria Secret. The lines are ridiculous. Good deals, but you're going to spend a section of your life waiting to check out. read more

This is a nice little mall, but they really didn't have many shops that I like. I doubt if I would ever go back, but that's just because there aren't many shops for me. I noticed a lot of empty stores, so I don't know how much longer this place will stay open. read more

I was shopping on 4-15-23 in Macy's in the men's department looking for jeans some of them were not in place very mixed up so I had to rummage through all of it trying to find something I wanted so at one point I was looking around and I noticed this guy in a red jacket looking at me he is security I was being watched then I had Macy points that I couldn't use I don't think I will be going in anymore I work for a living I do not steal very unhappy with them read more

I have a football field-sized soft spot for the mess that is Mid Rivers Mall... my mom took me here every Friday when I was Baby Aimee and I would run through center court and down all the hallways and then eat my little baby happy meal and bounce around some more. I'm pretty sure I saw Santa something like 8 years in a row at this mall, too. Then when I was in high school I used to be one of those annoying perfume girls (whatever, they seriously paid me a lotta $$!) so needless to say I have personal ties. The store selection is kinda bad, unless you're in the market for something at Express or The Limited. The only time I utilize this mall now is when I need a super professional outfit and want to go somewhere where I know no lines exist and there are plenty of parking spots. I always park at the lower level Dillards (I swear there are usually ten people in there, max) and the mall isn't that big so it's easy to be in and out fast. If you like fast food, you're in a good spot. Food court rocks and is made up of mostly greasy garbage, though they do have a Subway! They do have other decent stores, too (Victoria's Secret, GAP, etc.) but I really wouldn't go here if you want an awesome mall experience. Is there such a thing? I dunno. I love my Mid Rivers Mall memories and will go back the next time I need a biz outfit or a slice of Sbarro pizza. read more

Very empty and they await your arrival. A lot are helpful but they easily judge you if you look like you have no money. This mall is in a hard to find location so I adjusted it on Yelp for everyone recently. It would of taken you across the street. Prepare to do a lot of walking this mall is big but in a very crowded highway loopty loop. Haven't experienced anything that would downgrade them. It's very clean. Not a *terrible* place to shop. Pros: - Ample parking (day or night!) ;) - V Stock, Slackers, 'nuff said.... - Only about 15 min drive from mi casa. - Decent movie theatre. - DEB store! Omg I love this place. It may be cheap and somewhat trashy sometimes but fuck...I got a leopard print skirt there for $2 once. Two fucking dollars. We're not talkin' bout Goodwill, folks! - Justice store, for all my pedo shoppin' needs. - The mall cops here are actually helpful and nice and not fucking assholes like at the galleria. As in, they don't ask me to see my stupid fucking driver's license when it is very apparent that I am in fact in my mid twenties... - Auntie Anne's Pretzals (makes a Sean very happy...) Cons: - Missing a few key stores I enjoy shopping at (LUSH, Sephora, etc...) - Kinda grungy sometimes... - Somewhat confusing layout. This mall is perfect. Easy location (immediate access from hey 70) great space, array of shops that appeal to all walks of life, very nice food court (Charleys is THE BEST)!! My one & only complaint isn't about the mall at all; it's @all the parents whining about how the "curfew" shouldn't apply to their snowflake. Please stop. Rules are rules. Your average mall. Not the worst, not the best. The anchor stores here are JC Penney, Macy's, Sears, and Dillards. Everything else here are the typical stores you expect at the mall. There are also a number of good freestanding stores/shopping plazas close to this mall. read more

This is my go to mall when I know the stores I need are not at the at the Mills. As far as malls go this is a decent one, you have your department stores, Macy's, JCPenney, and Dillards. Then there are a few oddball stores, and a decent food court. read more

I grew up going to this mall. I remember getting excited about its opening in the mid 80s; I remember being one of those kids (that I admittedly now loathe to some extent) who went to the mall to hang out; I remember, as the years passed, stores closed and less desirable ones appeared in their place; and I remember the movie theater transitioning from one with a few screens to one with more(!!!) screens with a 'new theatre' smell to, well, what it smells like now. New malls have come and pretty much washed away any of the shiny, new mall enamel that Mid Rivers had, but it's still my mall. My not-as-good-as-chesterfield-or-crestwood-or-the-galleria-or-"insert name of any newer mall in the Saint Louis metropolitan area here"-but-always-will-be-always-be-better-than-Jamestown Mall-mall. I'm still pissed they got rid of the Gap (what can I say, their jeans fit me well), but there's no sense in moping about it. Surely, something less memorable will open in its place if it hasn't already. Surely, I'll still return time and time again. On a final note, I'm disappointed to see that Aimee K. has given away the secret to my favorite parking area at this mall. Shhhh! If there has been one thing I can rely on at Mid Rivers, it's good parking in this location. If I lose that now, I know who to blame. read more

As far as malls go, this one has just about everything. it's convenient to get to from several directions, it has decent parking (although it's impossible to get a spot during the final week of christmas) and several upgrades since i've been here last. the best part, i guess, from a shopper's perspective is not so much the mall and all that it has inside, but that it's surrounded by other relatively huge stores... circuit city, best buy, toys r us, mervyns, etc... a good place to get what you need (and most likely what you really don't need). i'm just not big on malls. this is hell on earth during the holidays, though... read more

Given how St. Charles county ballooned in the past 10 years, I'm surprised that this relatively small mall wasn't crowded at all on a Holiday weekend... but maybe that's because it's so small... In terms of stores, I can't really say there's much to differentiate this place from others, except for the fact that it's really the only big mall that I know of in the area. Otherwise, you have to go to West County or the Mills... so how the heck is this place not packed? Not that that's a bad thing. read more

Rude security kicked out my 16 year old daughter due to weekend curfew forcing them to walk around outside of mall. We did not know about curfew for teens. Putting 16 year old girls at risk is disgraceful. Shame on you. read more

I have been visiting this mall since before I could drive and I still like it. Great shops and it seems like they are always improving on the mall with new flooring and updated stores and repaving a large majority of the parking lots. I have seen in recent years a decline in some of the big stores like Book stores but honestly I never go to a mall to buy a book. I think the food court offers some good options and aren't too overly priced, but I rarely eat at food courts. Either way I am really hoping that this mall doesn't go the way other malls I grew up with have gone. read more

Beware of the self serve soda machines. There wasn't any prices listed for any of the drinks. I was thirsty, it was convenient but then I checked my bank account and it charged me $7.50 for a 16oz coke. Next time I'll wait until I leave that place for a drink. It looks like the entire mall is going under also. Lots of closed stores and they took out half the food court for a H & M store. They should have leased one of the empty spaces. read more

When in St. Charles, I'll make a stop at Mid Rivers just to see if anything is different from the others. There are not any stores there that make it stand out. You find your "staple" stores of Express and Limited there but nothing unique. If you're in the mood for food, their food court is superb, and not many malls have that nowadays, at least this mall has name brand fast food places (Taco Bell, etc). Its an easy walk through however be careful driving through the parking lot - there are so many twists, turns, exits onto other roads that you're bound to get yourself lost if you don't know where to drive. If I move to St. Charles in the future, this will be my go-to mall. read more

It is your average X-shaped two-story mall. There are probably 100 of these types of malls all across the country. I've probably been to at least a dozen or more over the years. Nothing about this mall stands out or makes it bad. If there is one large negative, it would be getting to and from the mall. But most of that is due to I-70 and Mid Rivers Mall Drive not exactly being driver friendly. Can't fault the mall for that, but it still must be taken into consideration. Enjoy! read more

I don't get the poor ratings about this mall. It's got a little of everything, even a sporting goods store. I have been there many times over the years, and enjoy the surroundings. They just painted inside and out, put flooring down, resurfaced most of the parking lots, etc - this years 2013. read more

As a mall, Mid Rivers has most of the popular stores you'll see in most malls in the region. The outside is not all that aesthetically pleasing, but the inside is nice and clean. Since I live in the area I will use this as my go to mall; there is no reason for me to go out of my way to go to another mall because they do not have a certain store or because of the cleanliness of the mall. I do wish there were more food options here, especially in the food court. I believe there are only 5 or 6 places to choose from to eat at the food court. read more

V Stock: Hmmm....Customer service. They checked and found the item I requested. They assured me it would be waiting with my name on it the next day. When I arrived they said they had made a mistake and could not sell it to me. They apologized but made no effort at recompense. I called and the manager is trying to make it right. Normally this store is great. Lots of bargains on all kinds of media entertainment. Customer service is usually great as well. We shall see. EDIT: They took care of me! Got a new movie on them. Many empty stores that are up for lease. First department store we went in, was a cluttered mess. Seems like there's no pride in keeping this a nice mall. Today it was extremely hot inside the main walkway of the mall. Not a good atmosphere for shopping and we left as quick as we could. read more

I consider myself an aficionado of malls, and this is one of the best, in my opinion. I'll be honest and confess that I've not been to this mall in over a decade, when I was in college back in Missouri. But I LOVED the Mid Rivers Mall back then. We used to go there a lot. Many important moments in my young adult live happened at this mall. Of course, those are all sentimental reasons, so here are some more practical ones. They were a bustling, lively place. It had a very family-friendly, down-to-earth environment that could make consumers from all walks of life feel comfortable. Lots of great shops. The best mall food-court I've ever been to!
