Oh so the old fashioned Christmas carolers don't have to wear masks? I think you should make them wear them - a sign of the times.

Five star mall that looks like old New England college campus. Lovely selection of stores, a great Mexican style restaurant and a theatre. And it's in a quaint part of St. Louis. Only problem is I'm not buying anything if I'm forced to wear a mask. It's a sad reality that may impact luxury retailers at some point especially because the items aren't essential - they are luxury and I certainly don't feel luxurious being forced to be masked. So my discretionary spending dollars are remaining in my wallet.

Plaza Frontenac is a two-level, upscale, enclosed regional shopping center in the Frontenac area of metropolitan St. Louis, off Highway 64 and South Lindbergh Blvd. It is a short drive from downtown St. Louis. There is a grand piano in the Center Court; the plaza offers live music on Fridays. They also offer free Wi-Fi. The plaza has a large open parking area, and an underground parking garage. High-end furnishings are spaced throughout the plaza to relax/rest, and then 'shop till you drop' again. There are a number of offerings for shopping, dining, spa/health/beauty and more. Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus anchor the plaza. The plaza has high-end tenants such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Gucci, David Yurman, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams (think Architectural Digest magazine), Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Kate Spade New York, Tumi, Coach, and many others. On the second level, there is a movie theater with six screens that feature independent & limited-release films. There is a Cinema Bar offering beer (focusing on local craft beers) and wine along with a full bar. Inside the plaza on the first level, one has the opportunity to closely view the latest in fine personal transportation. On our visit, the selections included an Aston Martin Vantage, and a Porsche Cayenne.

One of Saint Louis' best most luxurious retail shopping experience. Very high end retail shops with a posh attitude.

Are dogs allowed in the mall to take santa pictures? We have two very small dogs and we were wondering if we could take them with us to get pictures with the rest of the family!

It depends on the store, but most seem to welcome them if they are not a nuisance. For instance, dogs are definitely allowed in Neiman Marcus if they're leashed or you can carry them in. The mall is kind to owners of small dogs such as toy breeds… Read more

The variety of stores seem to be getting lower and poorer. The Galleria use to advertise, "Where the Best Stores put their Best Stores". Now when I stroll the mall, I'm lucky if I see a familiar branded store. I basically only come for two stores now. I shop the Apple Store, which I am surprised is still located in the mall. I would have expected them to depart to a strip center somewhere else in the metro area. The other store I frequent is Tommy Bahama, but I don't shop there as often as I use, too. I can now just go on line and have it shipped to my home. My most recent visit, I could see the wear and tear of the Galleria and a desperate need for repairs and maintenance. As long as Apple remains a tenant, I'll keep coming back.

We stopped in last night only to pick up an online order, and that was the sole reason for our visit. This mall used to be the place to shop in St. Louis, great department stores, solid dining options, and an overall upscale feel. That's definitely not the case anymore. It's gone downhill significantly. Many of the good department stores that used to be here are no longer in business or have moved elsewhere and tons of new spots have aken over some of the spaces, but I am not very familiar with many of the new stores. The visit itself felt uncomfortable. There were police officers and security guards throughout the mall, and a lot of people just hanging around who didn't seem to be shopping. The space felt louder, messier, and not very inviting. On top of that, the mall now closes at 7 PM on a Saturday, which is pretty shocking for a mall this size. I assume it's for safety reasons, especially since there are signs posted stating that all minors must be accompanied by an adult. It's disappointing to see how far this place has declined. The shoppers who once gave the Galleria its appeal have clearly moved on elsewhere.

Whether by car or Metrolink, it's literally a straight line out and back. Every time I'm here, it reminds me why this stretch has such a loyal following, because it's one of those places where you can land with no plan at all and still end up having a great time by just letting the street carry you along. The food scene here is the big draw, with a mix of global options that all seem to go together. From shawarma to ramen to tacos and yes, diner comfort food without breaking stride. The storefronts flip from quirky to arty and classic that keeps the walk interesting. Mini golf and bowling, too! Two unique things that make the Loop uniquely the Loop are the Planet Walk and the Saint Louis Walk of Fame. The Planet Walk is a scale model of the Solar System that stretches a half mile or so along Delmar mapping out the distances between the planets. And alongside this, the Walk of Fame runs along with stars honoring famous Saint Louisians (Saint Louisans?) set into the sidewalk. It's fun to spot names you know and names that are new to you. Chuck Berry. Maya Angelou. Tennessee Williams. Nelly. The Loop is named for the Loop Trolley. It launched in 2018, hit some operational and funding issues, and ended service in 2023. I'm bummed that I missed the opportunity to ride it. Maybe it returns one day? But even without the Trolley, the Loop is one long ribbon of activity. Accessible, diverse and consistently entertaining. It delivers exactly what you want from a neighborhood. [Review 440 of 2026 - 509 in Missouri - 25623 overall]

This place isn't an authorized retailer which may affect your warranty. In addition, buying returned items opens them up to scammers. I stopped in here while the wife was shopping in front of the plaza. Was really excited since we were about to move and this place has just about everything at super cheap prices. They have clothes, shoes, kitchen stuff, rugs, couches and so much more. My wife and I ended up spending over $600 on an instant pot, Dyson V11, bathroom towels, electric kettle, and pots/pans. After 4 months, only the towels, pots/pans, and electric kettle are still with us and working. As soon as we got home with the Dyson V11, we quickly realized that someone had previously bought a V11, replaced it with a v10 (the previous year's model) and returned it in an effort to scam the clubstore out of money/a newer model. Not only was it the wrong model, but it was heavily used and had used nail clippers in the box. Thankfully the store has a 30 day no questions asked return policy, but the worker tried arguing with me that it was the V11 when it clearly was not, which was super frustrating. Now after just 4 months, the instant pot stopped working for zero reason, and the instant pot company won't replace it under warranty because the clubstore outlet isn't an authorized retailer. All in all, I think the clubstore outlet provides great value for non electronic items, like towels soap, shoes, etc, but I'd never by any high value item here again.

I knew exactly what I wanted so I had no need for her to assist. I showed my husband the styles in the shoes I liked and the size range I would need based off the mm of the heel. The customer service was fine in store but the service we got a few months later was above and beyond. So my husband surprised me with a pair for my birthday in October. They were perfect! The Clare leopard print 80 mm. They were the ones I've been wanting since their release. The only thing was the size the were just a bit to big. So my husband said we can exchange them the next day no problem. So we called the St. Louis location to purchase another size or at least have them held until we could get up there the next day. Well they didn't have my size but the woman working in the shoe department said she would reach the New York location and have them hold that size needed and we could just call and pay for them once they're held. The New York location was the only one that had my size. Due to the time difference they were already closed! But, she assured us she would keep trying to reach them but informed us they would be closed the following day for a private event and couldn't be reached, so I would have to wait a day or two before they could reach the New York location to hold them. I decided to just return the shoes and then order them via phone. My husband purchased the shoes and had them mailed to our home. The return policy that Saks stands by with their shoes is 30 days. When he purchased them it was mid September and he gave them to me mid October but it was a few days past the 30 day mark. We spoke with a gentleman who allowed us to return the shoes despite it being over their policy date and we were extremely appreciative of his help and consideration of our situation. The woman (if I remember right is Jamie) did a great job in trying to help as well in contact the NY store. I love that they both went above and beyond to help us and to make my birthday surprise a great experience from beginning to end.

The same was true when I was recently in Las Vegas and New Orleans, those stores are also on the closure list. Sad times in retail and for luxury brands. Au revoir SAKS.
