Visiting family in St. Louis, we decided to browse this mall bc I had never been. It's an impressive collection of high-end shopping with some newer and "trendier" stores like Alo Yoga, Vuori, Warby Parker, etc. while having staples like Tiffany and Co., Sak's Fifrth Ave., Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and more. I was pleasantly surprised by Restoration Hardware on the second floor and we were told it must be pretty new bc it wasn't there before. I enjoyed walking around and window shopping. There is a lot of money in this mall and some of the stores were very pretentious (Louis Vuitton, here's looking at you!), but it's a fun browse and if you are looking for one of these stores in particular, you're in luck bc they're all housed here under one huge shopping mall. Rarer and rarer these days... Mall was well-kept and clean. The bathrooms needed some TLC but, it was mostly a clean and spacious mall. read more

Plaza Frontenac: the shopping center that time forgot... and wisely so. Walking around here is like being an extra in the next Caddyshack sequel--only the gophers are just retirees in khakis, sipping iced tea and offering commentary on your Birkenstocks. The lawns are so perfectly manicured you half-expect a golf cart to roll by with someone yelling, "Fore!" The stores? A curated collection of designer labels that only people who've forgotten what size they wear shop at. The parking lot is like a luxury car reunion--each SUV vying for the most ostentatious display of monogrammed headrest covers. If there were a Kardashian for horsepower, these folks would be reality TV royalty. But hey, it's pleasant enough for a slow stroll. The pale-faced crowd in pastel polos and sensible loafers adds a certain... je ne sais gold chain. Just don't expect energy, diversity, or affordable anything. It's more "The Club That Time Forgot." Come for the nostalgia, stay for the passive-aggressive nods. Plaza Frontenac: where the polo shirts outnumber the people under 60 by a factor of ten--and nobody's complaining, because they paid five figures for those pants. read more

This is a great mall with a lot of my fav stores, everve, Gucci, neiman marcus. The parking was abundant.

This is an upscale mall, but both times I was there...it was empty. I mean, Revenge of the Zombies empty. The surrounding area had tons of traffic, but nobody in the house. Is it a sign of the times or just the mixture of businesses? Not sure, but it was spookily quiet. read more

More people really need to know about this mall. The atmosphere is absolutely jaw dropping. Nice variety of stores, and I love the exquisite charm to the furniture and stores. I don't really shop here often but whenever I do, staff is fine. Price is reasonable, although sometimes I would rather explode then pay the price of some of the clothes I see. This place is so nice! It's just missing people. I am pretty sure the movie theatre and half the mall is on the brink of gathering crickets and cobwebs and tumbleweeds. Oh and it's also on the brink of being haunted so give this place a look! It's lovely and extravagant. read more

Very nice high-end mall, the closest thing you're going to get to NY shopping in the Missouri area. I didn't get a chance to explore the entire mall, however I saw Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Niemin Marcis to name a few. Five star mall that looks like old New England college campus. Lovely selection of stores, a great Mexican style restaurant and a theatre. And it's in a quaint part of St. Louis. Only problem is I'm not buying anything if I'm forced to wear a mask. It's a sad reality that may impact luxury retailers at some point especially because the items aren't essential - they are luxury and I certainly don't feel luxurious being forced to be masked. So my discretionary spending dollars are remaining in my wallet. read more

Today's shopping trip was for men's spring clothing. We popped into Alo, J. Crew, and Lululemon making purchases at J. Crew & Lululemon. The shorts and polos at J. Crew offered a lot of choice and selection in fit, style, and material. Lululemon's pants selection had a wide variety of cuts and fabrics. Employees at all stores were helpful and assisted with questions, sizes, and ordering. read more

Plaza Frontenac is a two-level, upscale, enclosed regional shopping center in the Frontenac area of metropolitan St. Louis, off Highway 64 and South Lindbergh Blvd. It is a short drive from downtown St. Louis. There is a grand piano in the Center Court; the plaza offers live music on Fridays. They also offer free Wi-Fi. The plaza has a large open parking area, and an underground parking garage. High-end furnishings are spaced throughout the plaza to relax/rest, and then 'shop till you drop' again. There are a number of offerings for shopping, dining, spa/health/beauty and more. The movies are the only attraction for this theater. There has been no popcorn in over a year, and the staff have no clue who runs the business operations. The seats are so old they you need to ensure that the springs in the seats don't break. You may want to get a tetanus shot before seeing a movie at this theater without any management. read more

As far as upscale shopping goes this is probably the best St. Louis has to offer in terms of shopping centers. Tiffany & Co., Saks, Neiman Marcus, J. Crew, Green Door Spa, Bissinger's Chocolatier, LuLu Lemon, Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, MAC, BCBG and tons of other awesome shops call Plaza Frontenac home. There is a movie theater and restaurants located inside as well. In the same plaza you can find Panera, Brick Top's, Brio and Flemings to satisfy your hunger pangs. Plaza Frontenac is the Saint Louis "high roller" mall. I know that, because I giggled the other day when I earned a new Yelp Badge called, "High Roller" while shopping at some of my favorite stores. PF is an older mall and could use a face lift or shot of Botox, but the staff keeps the Williamsburg style grounds and building in excellent condition. I rarely shop the anchor stores of Neiman-Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. I go for the heart of the mall and shop the smaller specialty type stores. While shopping here, I have never experienced pretension or rudeness from store associates or other shoppers and I have shopped unshaven and in ratty jeans. To be honest, I have seen more attitude at The Galleria then here. My shopping at PF can be broken down in to four basic groups or reasons: Leather - Louis Vuitton, Cole Haan, Coach and Tumi Home - Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma and Sur La Table Clothes & Jewelry - J Crew, Lucky Brand Jeans, Tiffany & Co. and Omega After some power shopping or browsing, I can recharge my batteries at: Canyon Cafe, Cardwells at The Plaza, Brio Tuscan Grille or Brick Top. All four of these have great bars for a quick drink or a leisurely meal. I can also treat myself to some hometown chocolate at Bissinger's. I just had an idea for a UYE - Bar Hopping @ Plaza Frontenac. We can sip on Margarita's and Martini's and sample an appetizer or two. Another great thing about PF is the Landmark Theaters which in my opinion is one of the better movie houses in the area. They bring in a lot of titles that Saint Louis would miss if it were not for them. Some of us enjoy foreign and art house independent type films more then those big blockbuster films. Plaza Frontenac is small, quaint and fills some of my shopping needs, so in Yelp standards, "I am a fan" and a big fan at that. read more

I visited the David Yurman studio and the first salesman I encountered looked at me and rolled his eyes toward the ceiling, never spoke to me. The next salesperson I encountered in the back area was friendly and eager to help me and to make the sale. His name was John Vazquez. I showed him a picture on my phone of what I wanted, he went and got it, put it around my neck, took my payment and I was on my way. read more

I love Plaza Frontenac! I've been shopping here forever. Everyone is always so polite. They have THE best Santa at Christmas! I am sad to learn that L'Occitane closed. They have a theater inside that shows artsy and independent movies. I've never gone to a show, but want to. Canyon cafe is inside and I love eating there. A wonderful Tex-mex place. The stonewater spa is nice. I've had a facial and manicure and they did a great job. I always have to stop by Bissingers and get some chocolate! I enjoy walking through Neiman Marcus and Saks. Lots of great stores from Louie Vuitton to Omega! It's always decorated beautifully during the holidays. My favorite mall for sure! read more

Pretty cool place. Clean mall with comfy couches and a Lamborghini just parked in the lower level. You can buy that car for $298k. Which is a steal. Neiman Marcus, Saks, Louie, this mall almost has it all. Sadly, I can only rate 3/5 star since it does not have the true stars of any mall: Hot Topic and Spencers gifts. Look I know this is an upscale mall. I get that. However, the hot topic could have really expensive KISS statues or something. Spencers gifts could have nicer stuff too. Just think a place where you could get really nice expensive weird stuff for your family. If you want weird things the only thing you will get is weird looks at this mall when you ask other shoppers for these two stores. I was a bit disappointed. The theatre was cool. Plaza Frontenac = The "Rich" Mall in St. Louis. That's how I've always referred to it since I was a child. Now a nicer, more sophisticated term would be to call it "upscale". For high-end, designer shopping and indie, high-brow movies, Plaza Frontenac is your destination. Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus are the anchor stores at this mall, and there is a movie theater here. I come here primarily for the MAC store, which if I'm not mistaken, is the only remaining actual MAC store in the city. Some of my other favorites are the J Crew, Banana Republic, William Sonoma, Bissinger's, Coach, and more. There are Michael Kors, Talbot's, Lily Pulitzer, Tiffany's, and Louis Vitton stores here as well. Whenever I'm in the mood to feel fancy, I like to take a stroll here and daydream about when the Minolo Blahnik and Loubiton shoes, Chanel and Louis bags, and Oscar de la Renta jewelry will actually come home with me in real life. This place is pretty amazing, for the wealthy that is. Just kidding there are many stores once you get past Saks fifth avenue or Neiman Marcus that are affordable for just about anyone. I think I like the most about this mall is that it is smaller and has quality stores within a smaller area. It is never over crowded, I went there on crutches the other day and never did I ever feel like anyone was going to run over me or knock my crotch out from underneath me like I have twice at the galleria. The ladies at K Hall designs and at Lululemon are just absolutely phenomenal when it came to accommodations and helping me find what I needed to you in the most efficient time as possible so that I did not have to stand on crutches forever. It also helps to go during a non-busy time, but I have been in the evenings and on the weekends and it is never overwhelming or too jampacked like the galleria and West County Mall are almost always. Plus side also is the parking. You will not have to circle the parking garage or the Nordstrom lot at the galleria for about 45 minutes before anybody will move their car even if they are sitting in it. I know West County Mall can be a real pain to park as well. There is plenty of parking here, you may on busy days have to walk a tad bit farther, but people don't just doddle around in their cars at this mall they actually get in, get out, and get out of your way which is amazing. The only downfall is that the small has a few less stores, but it's definitely worth going to if it has even two or more stores that you need to go to that day. I would highly Recommend if you were able to get your shopping accomplished and want to do it efficiently and in a very clean and safe environment, you need to shop at Plaza Frontenac. read more

Whenever I go to this mall I feel like Oprah Winfrey. Not in a I'm rich and the word is great sort of way but like even though I have worked so hard and am accomplished, I am still seen as an unwanted brown person no one wants to serve or be bothered with. Certain treatment is a reality everyday and it will not change until institutions and communities who are repeat offenders get called out on it - it lives here because it is accepted here. Being well off does not give you carte blanche to be uncouth. No please, no thank you and how dare they be made to wait while someone else is being helped. Some of the associates aren't that pleasant either. Standing around watching me is so telltale (so is following me) and more so when you never ask if I need any help but when Becky comes in your 9,000% pleasant and offer her a greeting. I don't need a sales clerk or bystander to make mention of the price point of an item I am inquiring to buy. I'm an educated brown woman and an informed consumer. I all but had to beg to pay for a ticket at the movie theater when there was no one else there at all, not in front of me, not behind me and not on the side of me. I thought brown was a very visible color so do you not see me or are you ignoring me? How would you feel when others go out of their way to not acknowledge that you too are a carbon-based life form? In no way is this an all-inclusive reflection of everyone that is a patron or associate at this mall. There are plenty of sales people that are more than welcoming whether they've seen me there a lot or not. There are plenty of random strangers I run into in William Sonoma and Athletica and we strike up casual conversations and it is just like I'm meeting someone that I've known for years. It's those nasty long stares... It's the walking by someone and saying hello in an octave were they can't not hear you, smiling and they don't even feel that you're worth making eye contact with. Over the nasty glances and so ready to leave, I still went into Teavana and a kind and energetic young lady totally change my mood (she was white). I went from being agitated, irritated and dismayed to recalling how it just takes one touch, one interaction; that its not all of them and that's the exact thing I expect in return regardless of what kind of encounter or what perception you have of brown or black people, one is not indicative of all. I'm not comfortable at Plaza Frotenance but I still go, why? I have disposable income that affords me the right to look and buy here, plus this is America. If my (our) presence makes you uncomfortable, it's likely only 10% of what I feel so get used to it. I've had the intention to spend lots here but depending on the vibe and service I received that day I buy here, place an order on-line or just wait until I am in a more progressive and evolved community and I boost their economy, not this one. read more

Plaza Frontenac seems like a nice mall. I can't afford to shop here, I just come here for the occasional movie. They have plenty of high stores and shops, looks like there is some great food in here also. The movie theater is a bit outdated, however, some of us like that classic movie theater style. The best thing about this theater is they serve alcohol and they have popcorn with real butter, try getting that at most theaters now days. You cant find real butter on your popcorn. I know the surrounding area is full of great restaurants and snack spots like Froyo. I know I would not mind living in this part of town, but my income level is not good enough yet for this part. A few of the people looked at me strange but that may be because I favor the looks of TD Jakes a little bit. There seems to be a nice diversity of people that visit this mall that is for sure or that work here. If this was a rating for just the theatre I woudl give it 4 stars! read more

Ok I gave 2 stars because I'm broke and Frontenac will bankrupt a regular salary human. Its a great place to check out and shop for very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very expensive stuff. You can find bargains for under like, a billion dollars if you look hard, I suppose. I do however recommend Frontenac, to who... I don't know. This is the smallest, ritziest mall I've ever been to. They offer free water and coffee to their patrons. That's how fancy it is. The plaza is flanked by Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. This is not a mall you go to just to hang out and shop. You go here when you need to buy something, and most likely that something will be really expensive. I really like to come here when I'm in a bad mood because my wallet is too small for my fifties and my diamond shoes are too tight. I like to come here to escape all the plebs but unfortunately, it's empty because hey, most people aren't wealthy enough to shop here. No, seriously, it's empty. Been staying here since 1986. I'm a Gold member & due to the virus we get 50% off drinks, appetizers, etc. Everyone is exceptionally kind & puts customers first. This past weekend, I had a waiter in the Provinces lounge two nights in a row who did not adhere to the 50% off of drinks & appetizers despite being shown the card designating the discount. The first time the front desk took cate of it by refunding an amount on my hotel invoice. The second time he overcharged for a drink & padded a bill. This young man needs to be reprimanded & replaced in my opinion. My room was fine & others were great employees. read more

A quiet high end shopping center with neiman, saks, williams sonoma, artsy mini-theater with critically-acclaimed-but-depressing movies, and restaurants for people who do leisurely, fancy lunches. I presume this is a great place for big spenders who dont want all the hubbub and masses beside them. Some nice canada goose jackets and the standard moncler puffy coats at the saks. The place feels a little abandoned but it is *very* clean, gotta give points for that. Would be nice to have some more price-accessible eating options other than panera. I should start this review off by saying that I don't really like malls. There are 2 main reasons for that... 1) People. I don't like crowds. 2) People trying to sell me stuff. LET ME LIVE IN SOLITUDE AND DIE ALONE. You can't have a mall without people trying to sell you stuff that eliminates a lot of my criteria. I love this mall more than others because it's nicer but also cause it's empty. That's right, I've never seen a crowd here and it's wonderful. Parking? A breeze! Seriously...you never have to worry about parking here. They deff have a much more limited selection of stores compared to the galleria/westcounty but I only shop at a few stores anyways so it works! Plus, you can hop right on the highway to either mall if you're in need of something else. If you like peace and quiet while you shop for clothes than the Plaza Frotenac is just for you! read more

Though I've been to this mall several times at this point and gotten over it somewhat, I'll never forget the impression I had the first couple of times going here and feeling as though I didn't really belong there, and that people wished I wasn't around. There are few places where I've felt alienated for being a middle class kid from a sorta podunk Illinois suburb, and this was one. It's the looks you get, the price tags, and the air of superiority about. It would be dishonest to give it only one star as I have seen some great movies here. And really, at this point, the joke's on Plaza Frontenac, as it has no room to be snooty when the whole St. Louis area is seen as podunk in NYC (where I live now). Frontenac is consistently one of my favorite malls. True, I can't afford too, too much of what's available (or rather, if I did indulge I couldn't pay all my other bills on a regular basis), but that's beside the point. One can look and dream and plot for the day she hits the lottery, right? Not only does it offer underground parking that's heated in the winter, but it just oozes a cool, sophisticated ambiance all other malls lack. Never will you see brightly colored clown cars being pushed around by haggard looking mothers or children absolutely melting down in the middle of the mall because Game Stop was out of their favorite game. No, instead you'll see the other 1% - the people who wear Tory Burch and Chanel as if they were Express and Nine West. And the stores, oh the stores: Neiman Marcus and Saks flank the main body of the mall which houses such lovely stores as BCBG Maxazria (a personal favorite for dresses), J Crew, Bissinger's Chocolates, Tiffany & Co, Sur La Table, Pottery Barn, Coach, Juicy Couture and Kate Spade, just to name a few. And as another Yelper's said, the salespeople back off and leave you alone for the most part until you're ready to buy something; they don't hover uncomfortably (which always drives me right back out of a store). Additionally there's a tiny Landmark theater showing art house films plus one or two more mainstream ones complete with illy coffee or alcohol, a couple of upscale restaurants, a spa and lots and lots and lots of plush couches to park bored husbands and dads and boyfriends or have a sit-down and drop your many shopping bags. Although I've personally never had the latter problem, I still quite enjoy going to Plaza Frontenac - during Christmas they have professionally made gingerbread houses on display to raise money for charity and seeing the line of kids in their finest to have pictures with Santa never fails to amuse me (there's almost always at least one kid who totally flips out on Santa's lap while you watch). I'm a fan of this mall. P.S. They have the best bathrooms I've ever experienced outside of a home - be sure to hit them up when in need (right under the sweeping staircases to the second floor at either end of the mall). read more

I keep chuckling while reading some of these reviews. I can't imagine being annoyed or intimidated by any of these sales clerks. They are hourly employees, not socialites. Who cares what they think? Your money is the same as anyone's. If they are rude to you, they are probably resentful that you are shopping and they are making minimum wage. Granted, I practically grew up in this mall and have never had a rude sales person there but I've encountered rude people elsewhere and think they are a-holes. I would never think I don't belong somewhere or that there is something inadequate about me. Remember, these people are working for YOU. Got a problem? Tell the manager, manager is rude? Call the owner. Owners CARE about how their patrons are treated, they really do. read more

In my family, we refer to this place as the "snooty mall." This refers to some of the stores and the uncomfortable, judgemental feeling the staff exudes if they decide that you are not worthy of their store. The last time I was there though I noticed that not all of the stores were out of the realm of possibility. And of course, what Teenaged girl does not love LuLuLemon?! Plaza Frontenac looks old and smells old. There, I said it! It's dark and cold and even the bigger department stores aren't nice. I've never been to a more depressing Saks Fifth than the one here. This mall needs a total face lift! The plus side: they almost always have parking here. Nope, never had to fight one. This is the pricier mall only because of their stores that are available. Although I wish they'd bring Zara in so I don't have to travel far. I admittingly only come around for Louis Vuitton because Karen is the best sales associate ever. Went into Neiman Marcus for jeans (I have a sick addiction), and saw a pair of Sevens that was still $240 when I bought them on sale at Nordstrom for 108. Hah! Way to crank up the price. Go to NM's clearance bins...you'll find Tory Burch and Gucci purses. read more

I always enjoyed toolin around the parking lot in my beat up Ford with the duct taped driver's side mirror.... the stares alone were priceless. Yes, it's probably the snootiest place in St. Louis. However, the mall has two redeeming qualities: BCBG J.Crew I actually LIKE both of these brands, and while they are at the top of my "I guess I can afford this if I don't eat for a while...." range, they were always worth checking out. The rest of the mall bugged the crap out of me. You're in St. Louis! Get the stick out of your ass! I love Plaza Frontenac -- it is filled with a lot of awesome stores. That is, awesome if you enjoy designer stuff (and paying for it). Best experience I had with their staff was when the beautiful wife and I were trying to find a store, so we walked toward the directory. As we walked by the customer service desk, I heard the gentleman there say "Excuse me sir." I turned and he said "Can I help you find a store?" So that was super cool. And for everybody who acts like this is some sort of super snobby place, I was walking around in a hoodie, flip flops, and three days of beard. Yes, occasionally, I check my testicles at the door and enjoy shopping with the wife. And admittedly, sometimes I look for myself.
