The cheese is melted, the bread is lightly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Very juicy chicken and toppings. Light hint of spice from the Ají Amarillo sauce. Lots of options on the menu and not overpriced. The ambiance is nice and calm with soft Latin music in the background. I wanted to love this sandwich. I absolutely love cubano sandwiches. I read many great reviews about how delicious The Deli's was. However, I found theirs to be very underwhelming. I'm not sure if it was an off day for them, but the flavors just weren't there, leaving me wishing I door dashed from somewhere else. If you like kitschy mom and pop shops, come to this place. My BF and I were hankering for something quick so we opted to split a chicken pesto sandwich. We also wanted some sides so added potato salad. It was an interesting little place, because it looked like it also doubled as a restaurant on the side, deli in the front, and behind the curtains you can choose a few drinks that were alcoholic or nonalcoholic ie Orangina which made me excited. While we waited for our sandwich, staff brought out disches that had amazing baked beans that I was mental noting to try when I came back. This is a great little place to come to for a quick Togo lunch or breakfast. I ordered the El Cubanito and it was delicious, I highly recommend it if you eat meat. They also have vegetarian options for those of you who do not eat meat. Finally they also have a wide selection of wine, canned wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks so come thirsty! First time I stopped here at the deli, although I've eaten at the restaurant. This time, I went to pick up sandwiches during Covid. I ordered a Cubanito, (ham and pork) and pan lomito (strips of tri-tip). Both were outstanding! My brother and I shared half of each and we couldn't decide which sandwich was the best. What we could agree on was that they were outstanding sandwiches!!! I've tried most of the sandwich places around Santa Rosa. Sazón has the best sandwiches I've tried. I'm not even exaggerating! The bread rolls were phenomenal, filled with lots of meat, onions peppers and cheese. They wrap the sandwiches in paper, then tin foil, then paper again. It kept the sandwiches hot long after I got home. The prices are extremely reasonable- about $8 or $9. The place was immaculately clean, and while there were no tables (Covid!), there was plenty of space for looking in their drink coolers and picking up orders. Would I recommend this place? I've been hearing about this place for so long. I didn't however, want to go here since its totally in the ghetto. Until one day.....I was in the ghetto, and needing to go to a meeting, when I found I had an extra 15 minutes and starving. As I'm driving ravenously around the area, I remember Sazon, a pretty ok Latin American food place nearby. When I got there, it wasa PACKED so I decided I didn't want them anyway. As I gaze hungrily around, I see Perry's next door! Upon entering, I see nothing particularly special about the place. I am called to the counter by an older gentleman, whom I ask of what is good. A random construction worker next to me says "everything". To my surprised face, a trucker to my left nods and agrees. I guess it's true! I admit to the gentleman behind the counter that I wanted a sandwich without bread as weird as that sounds, and without missing a beat, he tells me no problem! I order the tri tip, to which he added BBQ sauce and chopped onions, and recommends a side of cole slaw, which I heartily agree to since I have heard so many people tell me it's amazing. It really was. After eating it, I wanted more, a lot more, there wasn't enough!!!!!!!!!! The tri tip was balanced so perfectly with the cole slaw, it was a match made in ghetto heaven. read more

We had a catered lunch today at work. Have never heard of this deli. I must say sooo glad we got this delivered to us. I LOVE PORK! To my pleasant surprise there was a BBQ pulled pork sammie. Thank goodness my coworker alerted me before my piggy coworkers descend! Grabbed that up! Hands down one of the BEST BBQ pulled pork sammies I have had. The order came at 11:30, grabbed my sammie, did go to lunch until 12:15 , why is that necessary information?? The sammie was not soggy when I was able to eat it, and it was wrapped in tinfoil so it was still warm. They also delivered the quinoa salad. Let me say, I am so glad some of my coworkers were giving it the side-eye, MORE FOR ME! So good. Quinoa, artichoke hearts, green apple, cherry tomato, yellow pepper (not a fan, however ate it) and I believe small pieces of feta? Can't figure out the "dressing". Not vinegar, really light, would say "creamy" but not heavy, light. Gonna order my friend some of what I ate today to be delivered to her, beause I don't get off work until 4p and I believe they are on limited hours, and because I truly belive my friend NEEDS to try this! Looks like the deli was bought out by Sazón.. never really paid attention until today. The deli and their restaurant connect through a beautiful arched door. Went in for a sandwich, walked out with a sausage breakfast burrito. Flour tortilla, crema, salsa, bell peppers, sausage, some cheese and egg. It was ok, nothing special. This little gem is honestly my favorite go to for lunch. The sandwich's are delicious. We tend to come here a lot my coworkers always get the tri tip sandwiches which are so filling and I switch it up, The cubanito , the pesto BLT and the chicken ranchero are honestly mouth watering. I've ordered from sazón on DoorDash a number of times and had a relatively good experience, not sure what was going on today. I placed my order an hour before they stopped taking orders through door dash. I received a cancellation an hour later. I'm not sure what happened there but I've never had this issue before. My order could have been completed and delivered within the hour that it took for them to cancel it. Poor service on their part. read more

Service and staff are pleasant but straight to the point if its busy (don't take it personally). They know your name and they may even remember what you like to eat. Food has been consistently good and orders are accurate even via phone order for pickup. You won't go wrong. Minor complain may be the significant reduction in drink options. read more

I Just had the worst customer service I have ever experienced at this Deli, I called in my order for sandwiches, there were mistakes made so I called back down to explain that I was unhappy, the same person I made my order with answers the phone & immediately makes me aware the he is the owner and always listens so there is no way a mistake was made, of course I explained that I just spoke with you and I know what I ordered, then he proceeds to ask "ok what was wrong?" I explained that I ordered my sandwich on whole wheat roll as I always do, he then began speaking over me saying "who has whole wheat rolls? We don't have them here, nobody in This town has them!" I replied "why didn't you say that when I ordered it then? & of course people have them I always order them" He say "I put wheat bread cause I assume that what you want" then I explained, that he put cheese on my sandwich which I definitely did not order since I have an allergy, he began yelling again that he is the owner and always listens then throws in "well I guess I should have repeated your order back to you!" You probably should! being that your the owner and obviously are a terribly listener, not to mention that when a customer calls with a complaint you don't yell over them and claim your innocence, you messed up my food that I paid for! You as a business owner should want to reconcile that situation. I'm really disappointed that I go out to spend my hard earned money on a local businesses during this Covid19 pandemic just to be treated like crap! Don't support businesses like this! Great sandwiches! A wee bit pricey for what you get, but excellent quality. I got a basic turkey sandwich with avocado and provolone and a small drink- and it was about $8.50 total. The sandwiches aren't huge, which is fine by me because, frankly, when have you known a deli sandwich to save gracefully? But, to give you some idea of what I'm talking about: a regular Togo's sandwich, I'll usually only be able to eat half. The Perry's sandwich I was able to eat the whole thing without a problem. Clean environment (even though I took mine to go) and the staff was friendly. TONS of beverage and chip options, too. Also- their Dr. Pepper out of the machine is good. Those of you who know- know what I'm talking about. You know how some places their soda fountain just is off- either too sweet or too carbonated or not carbonated enough? I live down the street from Sazon and I am a huge fan of the restaurant. My husband and I were so excited to have a day off together to finally give the deli a try! But honestly it feel short. The food was bland. Not horrible but nothing special. I was hoping for a burst of flavor from the food since its seemed like a Sazon affiliate. Consistently great deli sandwiches! I try to stop in whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Even though the owners are new (formerly Perry's) the staff is still the same. Everyone who works here is super friendly and it's always great to come in and see them. I've been going here for 17 years and I keep coming back for more. The Ranch Hand and Tri Tip sandwiches are staples and have been on the menu forever. I tried the new Peruvian sandwich which is a really nice addition to the menu. It has sliced pork with a tangy/spicy/mustard sauce and some cilantro too. Really unique flavors on a sandwich. I'll be getting it again for sure. read more

I decided to make a quick decision and swerve into the parking lot one day when I noticed (not sure why I'd never seen before) the sign that said "Deli by Sazon". It was totally worth the near accident I almost caused from the guy following too close behind me. I read the menu and while all the Peruvian sandwiches looked unique and delicious, I decided to go with the basic turkey with all the fixings. BEST SANDWICH EVER!!!!!!! Turkey was juicy and plentiful, the mayonnaise and mustard were the perfect amount and the lettuce, Tomatoe, onion and pickle were amazingly fresh. Plus the sandwich was huge!!!! Can't go wrong with that! The price was outstanding ($8 for the sandwich). On a teeny tiny note.....the menu did state the sandwich came with black olives, pepperoncinis, sprouts and jalapenos....and I didn't receive any of these. I think you might have to ask specifically for those items, I'll do that next time. :) I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!! Oh! It's not named Perry's Deli anymore. The place is in an unpretentious area and the inside looks very homey and old school. Their pricing system is interesting. You start off paying $5 or whatever dollar amount for your meat and then depending on what condiments and toppings you want on it you pay per the topping. I think it's anywhere from .10-1.00. I can see why that would be just dandy for people that only want meat and cheese on their sandwich. I think it's kind of silly for me because I love my veggies. I can't remeber if I had to pay for mayo and mustard, I can't imagine why they would charge for that. The sandwich was good. Your typical deli sandwich with fresh ingredients. The bread was a bit chewy for my liking. The cheese sort of crumbly. They also have hot choices like tri tip and BBQ if you are craving something heftier. I paid almost $7 for a pastrami sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mayo mustard. For $7 somewhere else I would at least get avocado. I might go next time and save myself some money by getting only onions and lettuce. read more

So I just had one of the best sandwiches of my life here. I got the chicken ranchero anticuchado and couldn't have been more pleased. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and thinly sliced. The vegetables, avocado, and the roll were all fresh and the bread was the perfect density to carry the sandwich filling; not heavy like a sour roll and not too light so it perfectly resisted getting mushy from the sauce. I went here on a Sunday because I've been looking for a decent Tri Tip Sandwich spot. First of all, it's very sketchy and it was difficult to find. I ordered the Famous Perry's Tri Tip Sandwich. I only paid $6 (which I thought was very cheap for a Tri Tip sandwich since I used to get them for $9 in SLO), but then I understood why it was only $6; the woman turned around and put the Tri Tip in the microwave for a minute and a half.
