Great view, horrendous meal. Server was fine, received prime rib well done was told it's med rare. It's not a steak house so before ordering I asked waiter if you don't have a med prime rib then I'll get something else., no big deal. Came in well done, intern manager/ runner came around told us that they will provide us with 2 that are med rare. 2nd one came out (well done). Asked manger/runner what was going on. Said steak is med rare. I've worked in high end steak houses. But manger / owner wanted nothing to do with us. My friend asked for a additional side for his trouble of waiting for 2nd cut to come out which was cooked well. They ended up charging him the cost of both. Bottom line is get a drink and don't order any food. They could care less about the customer. Waste of a great location. read more

Upper deck is a sports bar that is laid back and fun to be at. I have met some old friends here and some great memories have been made. Service is great food is great. Fried pickles deserve to be put on a silver platter! I'd suggest it to anyone. read more

Watch out when you close out and keep track of what you order. The waitresses tend to add additional items to your tab and will not show you the second receipt that lists each item you ordered if you don't ask. They only show the receipt that has the final total and tip. This has happened multiple times. read more

Trying to choose between 2 or 3 stars. Mostly it gets three, but given the terrible aftertaste and trouble we had with the salt amount in all dishes, two stars is reasonable. Hope they can measure the salt. It does not make the food tastier, just reminds you to not go or your insides will burn, even if you eat up because you might be hungry. Nice view but that's it. Got a lobster roll with NO butter. Hubby didn't get celery with his wings and we had to ask for soda and napkins. Then we finally asked for our check and we were charged for 3 sodas when there was only two of us. We never got any refills either. I will never go back ever, ever again. I paid 16.95 for a non buttered lobster roll with fries. Steer clear. The server saw us and ignored us. Fix this service or close down. read more

Went there the other night for dinner for my 1st time. They open at 4 p.m. so we got there around 5 p.m. it was a Monday evening so it wasn't very crowded. You are able to seat yourself so they have 2 size booths huge ones that sit prob. fit 8 then 6people it was 2 of us w/ plenty of room and they had flat screen TV's many ones at each table. They also had tables with chairs Kama higher tables with bar stools or you could sit at the bar which was a complete rectangle. Not a huge menu but def. a good selection plus they have specials of the day. Love the fact that you could get a hot or cold lobster roll w/FF & for $15.95 was able to sub. a garden salad for only $1.00 instead of the FF & it was a huge Garden salad w/ delicious homemade croutons. Got a hot lobster roll & they put the butter on the side which was fantastic we didn't even ask for it on the side it came out nice piping hot. I had ordered the Texas cheeseburger I believe it was called had the cheddar cheese the BBQ sauce the bacon & 2 big fat onion rings on it. I asked for well done FF which they were. They also have sweet potato, Cajun, Parmesan cheese and another choice of FF. You could tell that the hamburger patty was freshly made and not frozen came with french fries and a pickle could barely eat half the burger took the other half home with the majority of the french fries had ordered a side Caesar salad that was humongous and the bill was $33.95 around about that. At that time the bartender was our waitress & the cook had brought out our food we were in and out in 30 min. tops. Would definitely go back and would also get food to go from there especially hamburgers. Been living here only about four years and have yet to find a place with decent hamburgers or cheeseburgers and this will be my go-to place glad to see that they have all Yankees / Met games there since now we can no longer get those channels as of this year. Menu definitely had many choices of soups/salads, burgers, Seafood, ribs / Prime ribs /steaks/etc. Tons of appetizers especially hot wings with or without bones & cooked in various seasonings. Definitely try it it's not really a dive bar like people have stated. I went there based on many recommendations that there has been new ownership & some upgrades. A bunch of pool tables. I thought I had already reviewed this restaurant, but apparently not. Have been there 3 times. I have been pleased with my food every time. We requested chili on our nachos instead of chicken, no problem. And it was a better plate of nachos than other places where we've had them. My Whiskey Sour with house whiskey was delicious and in a regular size glass. We've had their wraps, burgers, and other items. I recommend. We were there last there early evening on a Sunday. No one around instead, but that doesn't stop them from serving good food and drinks! Will go back when it's nice out and sit up on the deck again. read more

First time here, it was later on a Saturday, not very busy at all but the first thing that stood out to me was that it took a good fortnight to get a drink, with three bar tenders nonetheless. Big local hangout for sure, when we walked in I felt as though I was in the mid west... next to a ocean. As soon as we walked through the swinging doors, crickets and stares. When we were finally asked what we'd like the bar tender looks so flustered, what happens when it's really busy? It looks like it needs a bit of an updating but for the timeframe each year that they are busy I understand why they would keep it the way it is. There are lots of pool tables for all the pool tournaments and popularity that billiards still holds, there was one table being used. The food that I saw come out looked like pretty typical bar fare, although I didn't see a full menu served so I can't speak for that but what I did see, looked pretty good and would love to come sit on the upper deck(wait, ha...see what happened there?) on a warm summer eve to enjoy a meal of food outside. I did this when it used to be a previous restaurant but I forget how it was, plus it was a different restaurant so I assume it would also be different. read more

I have been using yelp for years and have found the reviews to be very reliable. We had already made plans to go to the Upper Deck today so needless to say after reading the reviews I had no expectation but bad everything. Much to my surprise our experience was exactly the opposite. Upon arrival it was relatively slow but as the day went on it became quite busy. Lower floor appeared to be in standard "sports bar" level of clean. Bathrooms again were as clean as to be expected. We went upstairs to dine on the upper deck and being that today was a gorgeous day, it was a fantastic place to watch the "Bears " game. Service from our bartender (Lee) was nothing short of excellent. Food was as good as any other local bar food. We both had chicken sandwiches but others around us had a variety of different plates and everyone seed to be satisfied with their meals.I will say that as the day went on it got very busy and I have to commend Lee for doing a very good job at holding the fort down when there should have been minimally one more person to help out with either tables or bartending. Regardless, his attitude was perfect and he didn't get bitchy when the heat was on.Keep in mind this is a sports bar and not Mortons . Considering that I give them 4.5 stars. Setting alone was phenomenal for outside dining. Either they have performed miracles ( based on all the bad reviews) or they have just been getting a "bad rap".In my opinion definitely worth a try on a nice day when you want to be outside to watch the game. We have tried this place several weeks in a row to watch college football, Food continues to come cold and service staff is cranky and slow. Price is very reasonable but after having a issue and requesting to speak with a manager who never came, will not be going back. Too Bad great location, they just don't seem to care. read more

My wife and I have been coming here for over two years now. We love the place. The staff is always friendly. The drinks are always cold and the food is excellent. My favorite being the lobster mac and cheese. It is one of the cleanest bars I know. The management is willing to put money into anything that needs it. Nothing gets shorted. The pool tables are top notch compared to most other bar tables around and that is a big draw for me as I am a pool player. Weather it be Jenny, Anne or whoever is serving us, it is always with a smile. My wife is picky on her mixed drinks and Jenny and Anne always get it right(with lots of fruit:-) The management and staff have become our friends for sure. I couldn't imagine a better home town bar atmosphere. read more

If there was a way to give 0 stars, it would have been done. After ordering a few drinks with a few friends, 2 of our IDs were confiscated, because they did not "pass". Given they were out of state IDs I understood and promptly provided other forms of identification, which they would not even take. We asked for our IDs so we could leave the restaurant and go about our day. After refusing to give our IDs back, I told her I'd have the police come and verify the IDs authenticity. A manager like man was rude with a response and went to the kitchen and the lady who took our IDs listened to the conversation I had with the police yet would still not give in. I understand that there was a policy in place to confiscate fake IDs, but after attempting to provide other forms of identification and calling the police, I feel as if its common sense to figure out that we were telling the truth. After the police arrived and confirmed that our IDs were real, the managers were nowhere in sight. No apology, nothing. After being rude enough to take our IDs, they couldn't bring themselves to come and apologize and admit they were in the wrong. I have never had such an experience where managers in the wrong acted so cowardly and didn't admit fault. That is horrendous customer service and I feel bad for the employees working under such management. If there was a simple apology made for the misunderstanding, we might have stayed and ordered our meals. But there was none, which shows the true character of this restaurant. If you want quality service, look somewhere else. read more

Went 2 times...tues and wed...same waitress both times..horrible service and she could care less about her tip or life...food was great appetizers were really good and dinner was above average...tipped waitress 30 percent first time think she would remember the next night ..service was worse and big sign out front says 2.00 drafts and bill comes and 1 is 3.75 and 1 is 2.50 different prices same beer but not the price outside on sign???? Had coupon on second night and said drafts after 8pm 50 cents for ladies..gave to waitress she said boss changed this and coupon no good ....boss said no coupons anymore...she didn't like 1 of the patrons at the table next to us so she refused to wait on them....just ignored them for 25 minutes ..they complained and the bartender had to wait on them...stay away if they keep this girl has a waitress...place could be good...young crowd..good vibe....runner bringing the food perfect....service was horrible period.....we get home and monthly coupon book in mail with same coupon with same specials.....It is apperent the owner does not dine in his own establishment or try to use his own coupons because they don't except them....We wont go back and that coupon went in the garbage along with his business if he keeps this waitress on the payroll! read more
