    Falalfel platter
    Dhilip R.

Came here for the views. The menu did not have a lot of options. Esp. no vegan or vegetarian options. Should be a good place for seafood. Loved the fries and taziki sauce. The falafel was bland and hard inside. The chicken sandwich had a sweet taste throughout. The pickles weren't great and it had a cinnamon taste to it. The deck had a good ambience. Enough room for people and can social distance. They had a live music performance too. Good place for dogs!!

Imitation crab they advertise as "fresh crab"

Probably shouldn't advertise "fresh crab" in the ceviche when this is clearly imitation crab. God knows what else they're cutting corners with. If you're not a college kid looking to get drunk with terrible service, don't bother coming here.

I had such an amazing experience eating at the deck with my family and most importantly my furry friend Rufus. I went to Newport to visit and brought my dog along so it was nice to find a place that allowed dogs. We sat outdoor and had an AMAZING waitress. She brought us water for my dog and was just super kind and friendly. The owner of the deck is so invested in his brand and likes to test our different drinks. He had a new machine and created a frozen drink with some pink Whitney which he gave samples out for. I ended up getting the full drink because it was sooo good. The lobster rolls were really really good and juicy. The manager was also very attentive and went around to different tables to check up on all the customers. I'd definitely go back again to the deck when I go visit Newport. I'd 100% recommend this place to everyone.

    Salmon poke bowl

I ordered the salmon poke bowl from here yesterday. The food tasted great, the wait staff was very kind, and it was an overall good experience. A few hours later, I developed food poisoning. I hadn't eaten anything other than this yesterday evening, so I'm confident that it was the cause. Update: My mom spoke with the owner regarding the situation, who was very surprised and apologetic. He himself was eating a poke bowl at the time. He offered to remedy the situation with a comped meal or a gift certificate, which we are supposed to receive via e-mail. My mom informed him that we truly just wanted to let him know to avoid the situation from happening again. I hate to say anything negative about this restaurant, but five days and an urgent care visit later, I'm still dealing with the ramifications of this meal. To those eating here, perhaps choose a dish without raw fish in it.

I'm so glad we stumbled upon this hidden spot! We were looking for dog friendly restaurants in Newport and this place had the highest rating on Bring Fido. It's off the main drag and it's right on the water! A great spot to enjoy boat watching! The food was excellent! I enjoyed a tuna poke bowl and my husband devoured his overflowing lobster roll. Drinks were delicious and service was awesome! This might just be my new favorite spot in Newport

Don't expect any hospitality while entering. Staff insulted to see your arrival. Expect to be acknowledged 40 minutes after being seated. Food good. Drinks good. Music good. Don't get a gin and tonic, might as well get a water with lime. Waiter couldn't have tried less to wear his mask.

Notice the fries were not touched.

Huge shout out to the manager, Kristen, who makes every person feel so welcome when they walk in that front door! She couldn't have treated us more kindly and more genuinely. What a shining example of the best in hospitality! Then Eric at the bar, so incredibly nice! He makes everybody that sits down at that bar feel like a VIP! And his cocktails, delicious! Lastly, want to give a huge THANK YOU to Ashley J, our wonderful server! It is not easy coming in and out of that restaurant in the cold to deliver to those igloos, and we appreciate every single effort she made! She was an absolute joy! Genuinely caring, funny, so attentive! You made our evening, Ashley! Thank you ALL! Cannot wait to book another igloo in the very near future!

We were right in the neighborhood & hungry when a bell went off in my head - "Let's finally try The Reef". Upon approaching, the first thing I noticed was parking. Such a rarity in this neighborhood to find free parking! We made a mental note to remember this. It was a bit early for the tourist season & for dinner time, so we were seated quickly. The dining room continued to fill & liven up during our visit. A private party filled the bar area as well. What a gorgeous spot on the water! I imagine the sunset views from here are fabulous and the tent and patios on the dock must be wonderful on a nice, summer day. Our waiter ( Vincent maybe? ), promptly welcomed us & remained attentive & helpful through our visit. When asked for a recommendation, he immediately went into a thorough description of the items & helped our decision. The first thing that I noticed was that the prices on the menu were, in many cases, much different than what was shown on the website. I always peruse online menus before hand and I quickly noticed that the entrée I had been considering, the Black Cod, was a full $10 more than what showed online. It is inexcusable for a large restaurant company like Hertiage to have incorrect or outdated menu information on their property websites. We ordered that Black Cod & the Short Rib ( which is now served with mashed potato - not polenta as shown on the website ). The first thing I noticed when it quickly arrived was the portion size. A small piece of fish, maybe four or five ounces, sat atop a cup of rice and a few thin asparagus spears. It almost appeared to be an appetizer, not a main dish. The short rib was a heartier portion & certainly more fulfilling. My partner was happy with the beef, although the sauce was oddly VERY smoky, almost tasting like too much smoke flavoring had been added. If there was a deep, beefy flavor typical or a demi, it was completely overwhelmed by the smokiness. The flavor of the fish was even more disappointing. While it certanly didn't taste spoiled, it had very little flavor from the glaze & a strong fishy-ness. When I discoved that the bottom of the filet still had a silver skin layer, I removed it and the fish flavor improved but the dish remained very bland. I ate it but found it just "meh" & left still hungry, despite not having a huge appetite arriving. I think we will try it again. Perhaps for a brunch on the patio on a nice summer day. The pasta dishes I saw going by looked better and, you certainly can't beat the location.

Queen Anne's was exactly that for us. We had about 75 guests, and were comfortable, but cozy. Her experience was evident throughout our entire planning process. She worked with us to up to the very end, easing our little anxieties and assisting us with whatever we needed. The staff at Queen Anne's was amazing! We were so pleased with the above and beyond service. A room flip was needed after the ceremony, for the reception. It was done in a timely, efficient fashion, and for that, we (and our guests), were so grateful. Food was exactly what we expected- and delicious. We opted for food stations, rather than a formal sit-down dinner. Appetizer platters, salad, sliders and pizza. Everything was fantastic. No complaints from us or our guests. We had a blast! Our wedding was everything we wanted and more. Queen Anne's and Amanda have so much to do with our unforgettable experience! 15/10 recommend. P.S. Photos by Mat & Ash Photography (the best)
