So, I skipped aerial yoga flow at the wellness spa today. Not because I didn't want to go, but…read morebecause I couldn't find a close parking spot. There were plenty of spots.
Fine. Early lunch it is!
Ended up at Uber Bagels and ordered their Powerhouse.
Now, I rarely like anything exactly as it comes. As someone who operates with a consulting mind, I can almost always find a way to make something better.
And that's precisely what I did.
I took their Powerhouse, made a few executive decisions, and created what I call The Dynamo.
And while sitting there enjoying my little concoction, my brain decided that one sandwich wasn't enough.
Oh no. We needed an entire product line.
Introducing THE POWER MOVE
The Original Powerhouse -- $9.50
The sandwich that started it all. No modifications. No interference from me.
Muenster cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, cucumber, and Pepper Parmesan dressing on your choice of bagel.
The Dynamo -- $14.00
My customized Powerhouse on a toasted everything bagel, featuring 1 oz of lox, Swiss cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, sprouts, red onion, mayo, and balsamic dressing.
The Mogul -- $13.00
Oven-roasted turkey breast, crispy applewood-smoked bacon, aged white cheddar, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, thinly sliced Granny Smith apples, and fresh red onion on a toasted whole wheat bagel. Finished with a drizzle of cold-pressed flaxseed oil blended with Dijon mustard and fresh lemon juice.
The Boss -- $6.75
A toasted cinnamon bagel layered with cream cheese, peanut butter, thinly sliced Granny Smith apples, and bananas. Finished with a drizzle of honey, a dusting of cinnamon, and a few drops of balsamic reduction. Sweet, creamy, nutty, and unapologetically substantial.
Suggested pricing based on Uber Bagels' existing menu structure.
And just like that, a failed attempt to attend aerial yoga turned into an unsolicited menu-development consultation.
Oh, and Uber Bagels, let me redesign your menu because it's overstimulating and could be so much better. I can make anyone's menu better, even the best, so trust me.
You're welcome, Uber Bagels.
Now, who's paying my consulting fee?
I'd like 15% of every sandwich purchased from The Power Move collection during a four-month promotional period, rounded UP to the next whole dollar, please and thanks. You can pay it directly to my nonprofit, CHEERS! Caring Hearts Encouraging Excellence & A Running Start.
And before anyone gets any ideas, these original menu concepts, names, and proposed collection are my intellectual creations. Any commercial use should be subject to prior discussion and a mutually agreed-upon written arrangement. Unauthorized use may result in my pursuing any rights and remedies available under applicable law.
Now, let's discuss why this is a win for Uber Bagels.
Not only could this provide an opportunity for a tax-deductible charitable contribution, subject to applicable tax rules, but it also demonstrates that you make good food, welcome new ideas, and support the educational advancement of children beyond your immediate community.
You'd also have the opportunity to become a sponsor of a small nonprofit with less-than-modest financial resources that actually does what it says it's going to do!
CHEERS! supports disadvantaged scholars in Nassau, Bahamas. We may not have the financial resources of larger organizations, but we have a mission, we have a commitment, and we follow through.
You're not just selling sandwiches. You're helping provide opportunities for children who deserve a running start.
Good food. Fresh ideas. Community investment. Children benefiting.
Sounds like a POWER MOVE to me!
