My closet was a…read morechallenging project, being small and featuring many angled walls that made it difficult to configure. My installer was Chris, and he did an excellent job! My experience with Closet World has been very positive, and I would suggest them. My advice to anyone considering a custom closet is to stay open-minded, and if revisions are needed, that's okay. We had to adjust my plan a few times, but now it's perfect. Thank you, Sharon and Chris! My advice for anyone looking to convert their closets: First, hire a skilled handyman to open up the closet if it's a closed concept like mine. Second, paint it. I chose white paint. Third, now it's prepped and ready to setup appt with designer. Fourth, be patient and understand that you might be without a closet for a little while because of their booking schedule. For families with kids, I recommend doing one closet at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself, as it's a process.

After many years of working with California Closets, I decided to try Closet World because the…read moredesigner I had always worked with was no longer there, and scheduling an appointment with California Closets had become very difficult. While Closet World's pricing was slightly lower, I don't feel the savings were worth it. The quality of the materials is noticeably inferior, and several pieces arrived with cosmetic damage. The installation also fell short of my expectations--the components didn't fit together seamlessly, leaving visible gaps, and some of the shelves feel loose instead of secure. Also, they didn't follow the designer measurements where I have a door for internet cables and the installer made it work but will be a pain for me to open the space if I need. I'm very disappointed with the final result. I should have looked at the reviews at yelp before moving forward.

I spoke with a few…read moredifferent closet companies and found Classy Closets to be, by far, the most transparent about pricing, (no sales gimmicks), sophisticated design software, and an actual showroom in San Marcos! Tiffany from Classy Closets is amazing and a joy to work with. I appreciate her design style, professionalism and attention to detail. We are thrilled with the full build out of 4 closets, a new linen closet and garage set up. Everything works great and looks great! Tiffany truly went the extra mile by personally delivering 6 (heavy) rolling racks for our clothing. Classy Closets also fast tracked our installation so we could finally unpack and begin living box free! Jill

Hey Yelpers! If…read moreyou're looking to remodel your closet and it's just time to get some extra space with out all the extra costs? You've found a great company to get a quote from. Their prices just can't be beat and they have an amazing crew, designer who works with you and listens! Highly recommend Classy Closets. We had the amazing pleasure working with Melissa the designer. She knows her stuff and is so accurate with her measurements and recommendations. She took our simple traditional closet and turned it into the perfect accommodating for our needs. The options are great, there's a low, medium and if you want to go all out, you can get everything! They are affordable!! Our closet was under $2000. Others we've quoted were $5,000 and up. Now before you think the price matches the product.... can safely day...it does not. The materials they use are ultra super heavy duty closet system. Not like ikea, home depot or Lowes, it's even better than that. Without all the extra costs! What more could you ask for? The only set back we had, which in the end worked out perfectly because I learned a new skill. They do have demolition in the budget that is part of the cost, however they only do very light/little patching and touch up paint if provided by the client. What the plus is to this is you can do the work demo yourself and have the confidence that its a fresh new closet....or they are awesome enough to have a contractor come in to help for an additional affordable costs. Some folks have easier jobs than others...I just knew ours needed more work than just a simple demo with patch holes. The install was flawless (of course thanks to my amazing drywall skills) and the crew were respectful, clean and cleaned everything up. Payments are broken up into sections, super convenient and easy. We are continuing to work with this company for our other closets and our Garage. Highly recommend! A++ Best luck Yelpers!! Cheers

I had to bring in another professional to repair what they left behind. The workmanship did not justify the cost, and they failed to disclose that they do not take responsibility for wall damages caused during removal. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. Update: I have to change my rating of this company because once I posted this review, the company got in touch, acknowledged the communication gaps, and refunded my repair expenses. I'd never contact this garbage company…read more Savana may have been great but wow her former colleagues failed her in representation. 1. If there's an issue on installation.. THEY WILL cover it with putty and WILL attempt to hide it. 2. They will NOT care about the cleanliness of their own work. 3. They will NOT troubleshoot first before destroying things. 4. They WILL destroy your carpet tacking. As a woman, I'm so mad and so disappointed. I emailed Jonathan to have my bottom shelf fixed under warranty and he sent the most disrespectful employee he had. This man destroyed my white carpet and laughed when i immediately started cleaning.. he said he wasn't a big deal. Nah man. It really is. After I asked him to lay a blanket down, he started drilling holes in my toe kick. He then turned around and told me "i can't remove it. You messed up putting the carpet up against it." I asked him to stop right there... and he used a pry bar and attempted to pry my brand new carpet up off the tack strip... i yelled at him to stop and asked him to leave (1st attempt).. he did not leave. He got on his phone and continued to pry at the tack strip. I told him to stop and asked him to leave. He ignored me again and put his hand up to wave me off. Told me he's going to take care of it and started yanking at the toe kick that now had a screw in it. Being a single female in my house... I immediately felt unsafe. I've asked this man twice now to leave my house and he's refusing. Now ignoring me and damaging my property. I panic, grab his tools and place them outside on my porch and tell him to get the **** out of my house and he hesitates. Really? I yell at him one more time to get out of my house and he finally looks at me, rolls his eyes, and slowly walks out to his van... that's completely blocking my driveway. Upon returning back to my closet, I see the carpet tacking has been destroyed and the carpet is now pulled back 1/4"+ from its original place.. I have a hole in my toe kick... silicone putty smeared everywhere... and a broken shelf. I paid $6k for this stupid closet and it's turned out to be a huge regret. To start destroying things before troubleshooting or stopping to ask questions..... to have the audacity to blame the customer when your company coordinated this entire project. Wild. I started to pursue a solution via litigation. Stay away from this company.

DISHONEST COMPANY. TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY WITH DEMENTIA…read more My father, who had dementia, contracted with this company to move to his household items to a nursing home. The company pushed for an in person estate sale DURING THE HEIGHT OF COVID in 2020. Almost no one came to the estate sale, so it only earned $400. However, they billed $3000 just expenses toward the estate sale, resulting in a loss of $2600. After my father passed they hounded me for payment (including additional charges to move his materials to his new home, which is reasonable). Of course, my father had dementia and had no ability to sign a contract, but not wanting this to have this drag on I paid to leave this behind so I could grieve. This business claims to provide compassionate service for the elderly, but our experience showed otherwise. They exploited my father's situation, pushing unnecessary services onto him and charging exorbitant fees, all while providing negligible results. They failed to respect my family's needs and showed no accountability for their actions. If you are looking for a service that genuinely cares about its clients, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. SHAME ON JAMI SHAPIRO THE FOUNDER. NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND DISHONEST AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR LOVED ONES. Update: I'm sharing a disparaging remark that Jami made about me when I reviewed her service with the better business bureau. She knows nothing of the situation in our family, the sacrifices we made in our family, the hardships that I endured to care for my father. Hire her team if you want someone who makes nasty comments like this after your loved one passes away. None of this changes the fact that: 1) My father had major neuro-cognitive disorder when he signed a contract with this company, 2) The "estate sale" they encouraged was against his financial interest. 3) When my father passed they threatened to take the estate to small claims court when I questioned the legitimacy of the estate sale that only racked up expenses. I paid for her services in full so that we could grieve but we never forgot how they took advantage of us in our grief. This is textbook elder abuse, which is why I am reviewing and rating her company to warn others of this practice. Update: Jami continues to lie in her review. "Arranged for the sale of the car" this is something I did alone as I held power of attorney. I agree that she provided necessary moving services, which we were happy to pay for, that is not in dispute. We thank her company for this. The dispute is over holding an estate sale that earned very little in revenue insufficient to offset the costs of estate sale, and then threatening (very quickly, when I asked any clarifying information about the bill) to take us to small claims court so shortly after my father's move and his passing. That is not compassionate care. This could have all been prevented had her team donated my father's possessions rather than held an estate sale. Furthermore, her condescending remarks towards me reveals plenty about how she thinks of her customers.

I knew I was on a deadline to get to organizing our home before our world turned upside down again with a newborn. Megan was so sweet, professional, and understanding of our needs and concerns and got to work right away with her team. She was not pushy, aggressive, or overly chatty as some others we interviewed were about the service. She patiently described how things worked, asked about how I'd like to approach dealing with the mess, and thoughtfully came up with a plan, a shopping list of materials (like boxes and storage units), and always, ALWAYS stayed lovely and professional. It was such a smooth process, and her team really made it easy for me to either keep, purge, or donate the clutter we had been collecting in our home for years.
