Fabulous store! Exceptional service, everyone is always so kind and helpful! I enjoy the variety and the ability to sample before purchase. The staff is very knowledgeable and their recommendations are spot on. Highly recommend.

I attended an event last night with a friend, all about Cheddar Cheese! They have a small back room and it was set up with tables, with our own personal cheese boards. We were offered apple cider, hard cider or water. Sarah, the owner and official "Curd Nerd", proceeded to tell us all about Cheddar, and a lot about cheese I didn't know. She is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. After our "class" we shopped the store and received a discount on our purchases. We also tried a small sample of an apple jam/preserve that paired beautifully with the cheese, as well as spicy pecans, which were a bit spicy for me but my friend loved them.

I love a soft cheese and have a soft spot for fancy cheese shops. I am so delighted that there is now a place like this in Syracuse, especially one that's within such a short distance. The first time I ever stopped in was months ago. I was lured in by a social media post about a fancy imported alpine cheese that had flowers on the rind. I'm a simple person- tell me there's flowers and cheese and I'm there. This pretty piece of dairy was well worth the splurge. The subtle smokiness was perfect and extremely satisfying and worth savoring. I returned recently, and decided to treat myself to a cheesebox for lunch. I told Sarah what kinds of cheeses I liked and told her to surprise me, and she put together an arrangement for me. My two cheeses wound up being Oriskany and Appalachian, and both were excellent. The box also contained accutroments like a tart (cherry?) jelly, pine nuts, crackers, olives, and grapes. Though it's grazing food, it's perfectly filling. Total cost was around $14 for the box (though I picked up some extra local goodies as well.) I'm looking forward to going back for more trips. Even thinking of swinging by for some of the fun evening events they hold from time to time.

First off- the owner of this shop is incredible. She is unbelievably smart and can explain the origin of any of the cheeses she sells (and probably more). There is a huuuge selection of cheeses that are fresh and flavorful, not to mention crackers, nuts, and sweets! I have attended numerous events with her charcuterie boards and they're always well crafted and tasty. Really recommend stopping by this place to try some new cheeses and supporting local

Hands down the best cheese curds I have ever had. The garlic and dill ones are incredible and unique from those you can purchase at an ordinary grocery store. The employees were so friendly and eager to help us and explain items/cheeses within the store. A wide selection of curated items from local vendors, a cute little shop prepared to help you create the charcuterie board of your dreams. I can't wait to be back!

My husband and I went to Curd Nerd to pick up our personal size charcuterie box.So cool . We will definitely come back here to shop . Our tray had different kinds of olives., a apricot chutney.various nuts . A corn type nut ( which I have to find out the name as I loved it and will buy more!) 6 slices of drunken goat cheese and a few crunchy round crackers. All delicious! The dried cranberries / cherries were so good.Sarah and her coworker were so helpful answering questions, and we had many ! So interesting to talk to! The shoppers itself was quaint boutique look. I felt at home right away ! The smells of the cheeses and produce. ( we will be back soon to check out the shoppe) .We took our delish box to the park to enjoy with beverages we purchased. This was such a treat ! It made a average day an adventure! We will shoppe theCurd Nurd soon??

Stopped by the Curd Nerd again today we have been loyal patrons since their opening. Such a friendly environment and knowledgeable owners. If you have events coming up (or even for just a random night at home) order one of their charcuterie boards!! You will be amazed at the variety. We have taken their boards to many of our gathering and everyone loves them. The best part you can try so many types of meats and cheeses then go back and pick up some of your favorites. I also love all the local items they carry. James is a busy street but I have always found easy parking on the side street. Such a great addition to. Syracuse!!

For the love of cheese! Heaven has plopped itself down to earth in the form of a cheese store and we are so lucky to have it right here in Syracuse. This cozy little shop offers a worldly variety of delectable cheeses that will have you emptying your wallets for more. Not to mention the you will be served by the #1 cheese monger in the country!!! Expert cheese service? What more could you ask for? From blue to cheddar, raclette to manchego, Brie to HOUSE MADE MOZZARELLA, they truly offer it all. For those who may be lactose sensitive, they even have lactaid tabs for sale at the counter. Now none of you have any excuses. TO THE CHEESE STORE!!!!

My wife and I stopped over at The Curd Nerd while visiting some of the local businesses in Eastwood. We were greeted as soon as we entered by owner Sarah. Sarah was a wealth of information and story telling about all the diverse cheeses. She gave us samples of all the cheeses we were curious about. We never felt rushed and she was able to answer questions and give us reconditions. We left with with a few different cheeses~ Manchego, Brie, Cheddar, and Fresh Mozzarella. All were delicious and top quality. We also purchased two different kinds of salami as well. The shop was also filled with local produce, goods, cheese products, books and such. We picked up some local pickles, crackers and stickers along with the cheeses and salami. Visiting the Curd Nerd was a fun and delicious experience. I see myself returning here often!

Every time I come into this adorable place there are new things to try and see. The cheese selections are amazing and there is something in the case for everyone. The owner, Sarah, is amazing at suggesting cheeses for you after a few questions about your likes and dislikes. She's got cheese for the adventurous consumer as well as more mild selections for those just looking for some great snacks! It's charcuterie board heaven in here as there are lots of meats and pickings to buy to go with the wonderful cheeses. I absolutely love it in here. I'm slightly lactose intolerant and for some reason when I eat these cheeses my tummy isn't that angry at me. There is street parking available and it's right in the corner of the building so you can't miss it. It's very warm and inviting on the inside with cute little cheese themed decorations. HAPPY SNACKING!

We walked in at 5pm on a Tuesday and had our choice of tables. We picked a small table next to the wall to be further away from the chill of the door opening. We were greated immediately by the sweet bartender who was also taling care of the tables at that point. At the table there was a carafe of water and glasses. I can't tell you how much I appreciate when restaurants do this. I drink a lot of water and it's nice to have it available. The ambiance of the room was nice. Candle on the table, string lights throughout, and local artwork on the walls that feature a new collection each month. Our server/bartender got our drink order right away. I had a glass of wine and my friend ordered one of their cocktails that she said was amazing. For the dining week special we each got an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $30. Appetizers Goat Cheese with Roasted Beets. Overall delicious. The goat cheese was very overpowering though so it may benefit from more beets, maybe an addition of a beet sauce, and or some sort of cracker or pita. Cheese Tasting Plate. Delicious. Could use more that 3 crackers. Best bleu cheese I've ever had. It literally just melted in your mouth. The jam that came on the plate was fantastic and unusual. Some sort of bacon jam that was really smoky. My friend liked it so much she tracked it down next door in Epicuse to purchase it. Entree We both ordered the Chicken and Jambalaya. I'm not a person who ever orders chicken but I really wanted the jambalaya. Lol. Both were fantastic. I do not like Chicken with skin usually but the skin was so fantastically crispy, the chicken was tender, and that jambalaya was amazing. Perfect amount of heat and so much flavor. Dessert They served us the Dessert Flight and it was stunning. Cannoli, Tirimisu, and Chocolate Pot de Crème. It was fantastic and the perfect ending to a great meal. Throughout the entire meal many staff checked on us. The service was outstanding. As we were finishing it was definitely filling up for their Tuesday Trivia night which starts at 7. In addition to the Chopped Cheese, Deb serves handmade "Dubai Chocolate" with his special pistachio filling - another recent internet sensation. But it's the unique combination of salty and sweet sandwiches that Deb said customers can't get enough of, including their Oreo burger - a double patty cheeseburger with oreos and a top bun that has white chocolate and crushed Oreos on top. So for anyone who uses TikTok, this was clearly influenced by Ocky's bodega videos, but in my opinion, it was smart to do something like this here. I've seen the videos and as soon as I saw this place start popping up on CNY FB food groups, I knew I had to try it. When you walk in, it's been nicely remodeled inside. It's a basic convenience store for the most part, but there's a hot bar with several offerings, and if you look at the menu, you're not gonna see the crazy creations - you're gonna see normal offerings like chopped cheese, ribs, burgers, etc. Sam, the owner, is almost always there, even making a lot of the food himself, and told me whatever I saw online or that I could create in my head, they could make it for us. Very nice guy. My wife and I both got a chopped cheese, but I asked for mine on a Jamaican beef patty, while my wife asked for hers on a honey bun, and we both asked for mozzarella sticks in the middle. We also got a side of potato wedges. 2 sandwiches that came with fries (we didn't realize they came with fries or wouldn't have gotten wedges), side of wedges and 2 drinks came to about $40. We got home and dug in. Both were delicious. My wife is a huge sweet/salty fan, so she loved the sweet honey bun against the salty mozz sticks and beef, although the honey bun definitely had softened from the fillings. Wedges were great, fries were fine. Food fed both of us twice as well. This is NOT a place to get a healthy meal, but if you're down for something delicious, outta the box and really only limited to your convenience store imagination, definitely give them a try.
