They are literally works of art made by a creative decorator who demands perfection and uses the finest ingredients. The cake is very dense, what our family considers to be the ultimate texture for a cake. The frosting is super thick and very sweet. You can't eat too much at one time, which is probably a good thing. We had hoped for some sort of confirmation email to let us know the cake was finished. So we showed up on faith alone hoping the cake was ready for our celebration, and there it was! Whew! They have a parking lot with free parking on the side of the building. It's a huge bonus that it's quick and easy to park. The shop has several cases that are always packed with a variety of treats. They have whole cakes, cake slices, decorated cookies, sweet scones, savory scones, rice krispy bars, seven layer bars, lemon bars, muffins, several types of cookies, and more. Even when I have arrived in the middle of the day the cases have been full and still have a great variety. I have loved everything I have tried here. My favorites are the rice krispy treats (especially the fruity one), the dolly bar, the almond cookie, and scones. The cake slices are delicious, but very rich. We split this into two or three pieces. They also have a shop next door that has a lot of cute party and gift items. If you have a sweet tooth then you need to check out Baked on 8th.

The cake is a simple 6" round cake for my elopement. Everything was set and an invoice was sent over which unfortunately went to spam. When I did a search of my emails to figure out what was going on with the cake portion of my wedding since I hadn't heard anything in awhile, I noticed her order cancellation email (she sent this over on August 28th- screenshots provided). It had been sent two days before hand so I sent over an immediate email explaining it had been sent to spam but that I can pay immediately (sent to her on August 30th). I just received an email response back today (September 4th- 5 whole days from my email stating I could pay immediately) saying they are now booked and cannot do my cake. Mind you this is again a 6" round cake that is needed on a Friday in October which is almost 6 weeks away. Ironic too that in her reviews there are multiple reviews about being able to get last minute cakes from her, including one posted just 2 weeks ago for a pretty elaborate 2 tiered cake. Wild to think in the height of summer wedding season someone is able to get a two tiered cake last minute. The owner also had the nerve to state she tried to call my phone but it wasn't in service which is not true and felt like a rude jab. I'm including the emails to prove the validity of my review as this owner likes to claim she has no memory of having interactions with people leaving low reviews. All in all, this place is very expensive for rude and petty behavior from this business owner. I'm also attaching my invoice for the price of a basic 6" round cake. Usually, this means you'll get a mocha-chocolate slice and a vanilla-fruit slice, dark and light, like the yin and yang of perfect dessert combos. A typical slice of cake here runs $3.50 a pop. Already, that beats the defrosted stuff you'll get at the local grocery store. However, this isn't your ordinary piece of cake. It's the largest, most satisfying chunk of cake you've ever seen: one slice could easily appease two people. Buying two slices is like getting a third of a multi-tiered portion of dessert heaven.
