As soon as I walked in, I knew I'd love this place. I had to find a birthday cake for hubby and picked this spot based on other Yelp reviews. It didn't disappoint. Service was great and lots of chocolate cake options. She had me at seven layer cake. Hubby also loves jelly donuts so I got one of those, as well as glazed donuts for the kids. Wildly overpriced for what you get. I thought I would give them a try. I bought 1 Blueberry muffin and it costed $3.25. Yes it was a good muffin, but that was more than I would pay for a warm muffin served with butter on a China plate in a local diner. I won't be back after feeling ripped off by being overcharged the first time. read more

It's almost a shame to cut it up and eat it... but we did. We we're pretty full when we got here, so we all bought plenty to take home: cookies cupcakes chocolate donuts pastries and much more. What a great little bakery, we come here all the time now. Great cakes, pastries, danish, donuts and more. First visit I picked up one of their delicious crumb cakes. Well this might be one of the best crumb cakes we've ever eaten and we've tried some that are well known and claim to be the best. Just the right proportions of crumb to cake and very moist and delicious. Have also tried some of their danishes, turnovers, cookies and donuts, all excellent. Still many things we need to try here, including their homemade chicken pot pie and some of the great breakfast dishes they serve like biscuits and gravy. Only complaint about this spot is they are a bit pricey. Still, happy to have this local spot to come to. read more

The store has a lot from which to choose. My visit was at 2:30om on Saturday, so maybe that is not a great time to buy cake... I had high hopes when I read the name "cheese crumb cake". I love cheese cake and I love crumb cake. Unfortunately it had very few crumbs and no cheese that I could taste. It was more like a dry pound cake. Dunking it in coffee saved it somewhat, but we ended up tossing most of it. It's conveniently located, so I might give it another try. I really wanted to LOVE this place! read more

I had to order a cake from long distance (Delaware) for a friend's birthday. I found The Crazy Baker Cafe online and took a chance. I filled out an online form since they don't have a brick and mortar location. I received a quick reply via email and contacted John. He took my order for a small strawberry shortcake cake and had it delivered to the restaurant where we were meeting. The cake was delicious! It was moist and the cream frosting was rich and yummy. There were not only fresh strawberries on top but it was filled with fresh strawberries as well. I was surprised they didn't use canned strawberry filling as other bakeries sometimes do. I would definitely order from The Crazy Baker again and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good bakery. read more

Ordered a 10 inch/8 inch tiered fondant covered cake-- chocolate on the bottom vanilla on the top with a raspberry filling for my dad's birthday. After over twenty years of visiting my parents here, I have finally found a good bakery! They were able to make a layer cake for a birthday on very short notice. The buttercream was perfect - not too sugary - and the cake and the custard filling was delicious. Been here several times. coffee is very good. even decaf. baked goods i've tried - crumb cake had lots of crumbs - delicious. corn muffin was the best I have ever had. italian bread for home was excellent. however, manhattan clam chowder - change the name to potato soup. little flavor. but lots of clam bits. maybe i got the bottom of the pot - it was late in the day. person i was with said their filled donuts were exceptional, overflowing with jelly in jelly donuts and overflowing with cream in boston cream and napoleons. read more

We had read good things about this bakery, The Crazy Baker, so we went there multiple times to try different products. We enjoyed the products so we ordered and paid for my daughter's graduation party cake. I will admit she told me they closed at 2pm on Sunday (the day of the party). It was, of course a crazy busy day for me as I prepared for a party of over 45 people. I take responsibility for forgetting their closing time. On the other hand, they had my phone number and could have called and said hey, we are getting ready to close...do you want the cake? Of course, they didn't call, text or anything. They just closed up with my cake inside. When I got there after picking up family coming in from upstate NY, they were closed. The ironic part is they called me first thing this morning (the day after the party) and asked if I wanted to pick up the cake. Of course, I had to go out in the moments before the party and buy another cake. When I spoke to them their response was "Your pickup time was noon". They didn't offer any reparations or a single apology. The products are good but their customer service is non-existent. We will not be going back.
