I went here for the crawfish special, $5.99/lb and was impressed. The crawfish was huge and very fresh. The flavors bursting. We got a pound in each flavors in medium spice to try and everything was delicious. Then we added another pound of each flavor with extra hot seasoning. I prefer the medium. It's hard yo taste the flavors when it's too hot. The service was incredible. They made sure we had our cups full. My kids shared a chicken tender basket and fries and they ate it all. You can eat them for the special or take it to go. We will definitely be back to try other menu items. They were very busy when we were there and even then service was great. I'm pregnant and have been cravingggggg crawfish recently. Thank goodness it's while they're in season. I've tried a few places on this journey to satisfy my craving but none have been able to compete with the Crawfish Pot. Their crawfish have been consistent in flavor, freshness, and affordability. I literally got crawfish from here every single day last week and it's been *chefs kiss* I've only ordered takeout/pickup but the dining space looks really clean inside. The crawfish Pot is a great place for crawfish. May I say the best crawfish place in OKC. We came in during February and live crawfish were already available, super early. Early season crawfish were small but the flavors were great. Definitely recommend to come in during peak crawfish season, March to May. The jumbo shrimps were also good but they were sticky. The meats were stuck to the skin and it was very difficult to peel. After seafood boil, I had the ribeye pho. Pros: Interesting and unique. You cook the ribeye beef like a hot pot. Cons: not practical. When I eat pho I just want a quick soup for a cheap price. In addition the ribeye beef didn't add much more taste to the pho than the regular rare beef. For pho, regular beef is fine. For steak, ribeye is the best. My friend had the beef rib pho. The crawfish Pot has a lot of other food on the menu. It's not just a seafood boil place. We ordered 5 pounds of the crawfish, it was still dirty and extremely dry. The new colossal shrimp they added, we tried it today. There was no sauce like usual, just clumped on spice. It came in a brown bag with a permanent like liner. By far my number one Seafood Boil place. Every time I go to Oklahoma City, this is always on my must go list. Not a franchise, which makes it very special. I normally get a pound of head on shrimp, a pound of crawfish, and of course the corn and sausage. This is not a New Orleans boil, like some expect. It is it's own thing, with very unique spices and flavors. Speaking of spice, be careful. The first time I went, I ordered the medium. Well, it was so spicy, I had to let it cool off, to avoid the hot heat on spicy heat adventure. I was face timing with my wife, and she asked if I was okay. I said, "Ya, why?" She said my face was beet red and I was sweating. LOL. Good stuff. I went with my boss the next time and he being, Hispanic, got the medium and said, "this is not hot." I came in on a Tuesday afternoon around 5:15 pm. There wasn't many people in there so I was nervous. My family is from Louisiana so I know good crawfish and Cajun food. The flavors did not disappoint! The base to the red beans and rice was very flavorful!! The sausage wasn't the one I would have used but still good. The crawfish was tender and well cooked. I loved it!! My server was kind and quick, always keeping my water full. The restaurant was quaint but lovely! Would definitely be back next time I'm passing through town :) read more

The customer service wasn't great. The wait staff were all really young, for the majority of my meal they spent their time huddled around a friend of theirs that came in and sat at the bar to hang out (he wasn't a customer). With only 6 customers in the restaurant and at least that many workers, there is no way the table beside me should have had to take napkins off of other tables because their server didn't bring them any. My table didn't get silverware until we finished the appetizers with our hands and the entrees had already out. The calamari tasted rubbery, the shrimp fettuccine tasted like something you'd get out of the frozen food section and the fries were luke warm. I came in to meet with my brother on a Tuesday afternoon. It was quiet and we were the only table there so I'd recommend coming before dinner rushes to try them out. The young man that was the server was very kind. I ordered half a dozen oysters before my brother got there and they were plump and delicious! The large combination pho hit the spot for a stormy day. The Saigon Wings were crispy, sweet and savory. My brother got the catfish platter with Cajun fries, and they were crispy and flaky. They have many options on their menu and I can't wait to come back to try "Bo ne" (the Vietnamese steak and eggs, since I don't see that on menus often! Also check out their Special for oysters. We have been big fans of The Crawfish Pot for years. The chicken and sausage gumbo is highly recommended and rivals the top spots in New Orleans for quality and flavor. The big bowl is under $9. They have crab, shrimp and crawfish boils along with lobster. You can get 3 kinds of crab, along with potatoes, corn and sausage. The catfish has been greatly improved and the fried platter with cajun french fries is under $15. Crawfish and corn bisque is a tasty soup. Several different chicken wings, egg rolls and po-boy sandwiches are featured, along with some asian style pasta dishes and fresh oysters. Be careful, they are closed from 2pm till 5pm on week days, so go early if it's lunch you're after. read more

We had the fresh crawfish boils, the crawfish was actually decent. If you add corn, potatoes and eggs to your boils just know that they're just thrown on the top in the bag and don't actually get tossed in the seasoning which sucked. So we tried The Crawfish Pot off I-240 in OKC. Let's start with the service. 1. the waiter was young and untrained. I watched and observed the way different people got better service than us. example, a table next to us ordered a seafood boil with crab. They received butter, gloves, aprons for their meal. We ordered crab in our boil and got none of that stuff. 2. The server only came by to take our order and to deliver the check. The server never checked on the table to see if we needed anything. The server did not even come back to get the payment for the check. Another employee came and processed the payment. Food: We ordered 1 pound of king crab, 1 pound of snow crab, 1 pound of shrimp, 1 pound of crawfish. with cajun spice and garlic butter with a spicy level. The 4 pound of meat did not come with any corn or potatoes so you have to pay extra for it. Food was delivered and it was Luke warm and little to no flavor. very disappointing in the quality of the food. I would not recommend this place. I like to support mom and pop restaurants but this one will nickel and dime you for sub par food and horrible service. read more

Wow, I never really have this happen where a Yelp restaurant with amazing reviews just does not live up to the standard. Unfortunately, I had a subpar experience. The restaurant decor and inside is actually decent, the tables are nice, they have the paper and stuff to dump your seafood on but I'll list why I'm giving this place 2 stars. 1. Price. I got it, we're in OK and not near the water, meaning fresh seafood is going to be expensive, but here's my issues. The prices aren't listed on the menus because it's based off season. They have boards around the restaurant that state the prices but it's super over priced. You can only get each seafood BY THE LB. that's a lot of one option. For example I got shrimp and lobster boil with potatoes and a corn, my food alone was $60. The lobster tail was huge and I had hella shrimp but the shrimp were too cooked as they were super difficult to peel. I also got a medium spice which was perfect spicy level, however, because of the shells; this restaurant has not perfected how to get the flavors into the actual meat of the seafood. My friend got the Fisherman Boil. I got it, it had like 5-6 seafoods BY THE LB. it was $120 for just his plate, which is ridiculous. My point is for the price it's not a fancy ass restaurant. 2. Again, their seasoning is clumpy it's not a nice subtle seasoning. Not only that, the actual flavor did not make it to the actual meat of the seafood. The clumpy thing was also super strange, it was like a goop of seasoning flavor on top of my lobster, bizarre. Overall not impressed and will not be returning. read more

Nice find in a strip mall complex off I-240 in OKC. Order the crawfish appetizer and the cajun wings. Great service and felt very welcomed by the two young ladies working the counter. My food arrived packaged to-go in about 15 minutes and I'm out of there. Those wings, the smell as I drove, had my nose running before I finished the six mile trip back to the hotel. One of the girls warned me they were spicy. Opened my food back in the room and dug into some delicious spicy Cajun Wings. Not sure how to describe the sauce, almost a spicy ketchup, much more complex than that but very tasty. By the third wing the heat was intense, that's a good thing when the flavor is paired well as with these wings. The crawfish, good but not great. My compliment for the crawfish was the amount you received as an appetizer. Easily a meal, or shared among two people. Overall, loved the food from The Crawfish Pot and would return. My husband ordered ettoufee it didn't look like Louisiana etoufee but tasted close to it. Had a lot of the holy trinity as chef John folse would say. A lot of red orange and green peppers celery and green onion. Real etoufee usually doesn't have as much. But it was good. I had boiled crawfish. It was 9.99 a pound. I had two pounds plus some potatoes and sausage. It was all good. Potatoes were a bit big. I like smaller ones. Did it taste like Louisiana? Not exactly. I ordered it with Cajun spices extra extra spicy. The girl was worried but I assured her I could handle it. I was from Louisiana. Lol I ate it. It's not spicy at all at first. Sucking those heads and getting pure juice makes it hot. By the end of the first pound my lips were burning. Yum. I was too full to eat the second pound. We ordered two appetizers. Crab wonton. Very bland. Crab and cream cheese with garlic and onion. Fried mushrooms had a good crunchy breading. We had food left over. Grilled cheese for our two year old grandson. Thin bread with cheese in it. Not really a main dish but good for a side with like gumbo. He ate some wontons so he didn't leave hungry. The boiled platters will take longer to cook than the other meals. Everyone had their food but me. I didn't mind as I was getting to visit with my sister. And I'd read a review here that warned of that. The prices are good. We found them to be average. I would go back here in a heartbeat. It is a must if you want something close to Cajun fare. Was looking forward to try this place out. Was crowded, but we were seated very quickly. Ordered the E's Shellfish special. Price was awfully cheap for what is included (1lbs or kingcrab, 1 lbs of shrimp and 1lbs of crawfish) for $46. When they brought it out I can see why. Dead shrimps, extremely small crawfish, previously frozen or cooked for a long time king crab legs. Shrimps have really weird stench to it, and when I tried to take the shells off, i was having a hard time separating them from the flesh, this is proof that the shrimp were dead and old long before they were cook (not even flash frozen). Crawfish is in season right now in texas and we have big and juicy crawfish, uniformed in sizes. Crawfish here was not the case, some were REALLY BIG, but most of them are disappointingly tiny. If they serve crawfish like this while its in season, what do they serve when its not?? King crab legs were borderline elastic-y. No point trying to use the crab cracker because YOU CAN't crack the damn thing. This either means very old crab legs or soggy crab legs. EXPLAINED THE CHEAP PRICE FOR THE SPECIAL. In Texas you have to pay at least 25-30 dollars for a lbs of King crab legs LOL. Sometimes it is worth to splurge if you want fresh ones. In addition to the 3 musketeers of let down, the sauce is non existent. I can see they tried to do a fusion between Louisiana style boil and Asian Cajun boil, but the flavoring was far from both. Ordered the medium cause i didn't wanna risk getting food too spicy and not able to enjoy it but the spice was laughable. If i ordered spicy from any joint in Texas, they would kick my ass, so the medium woulda been perfectly fine to me. HERE THOUGH, medium tasted like no seasoning. I can see bits and pieces of garlic, but I couldn't taste it. They barely put enough sauce to cover all of the seafood. There was no cajun seasoning what so ever. The only good thing that save this place another star was the gator bites. Freshly cooked, crispy, tender, seasoned. I understand Oklahoma is still growing and still very lacking in seafood game, but come on guys, don't be shy on the seasonings.
