Um YUMM! I've definitely been underestimating Cajun Corner…read more We ate in on a Sunday evening and the place was casual and lively. The staff was friendly They have a range of Cajun-based food options and had alcoholic drinks as well! We tried the blackened fish, the shrimp fettuccine pasta, a salad, and the gumbo, whew our socks were blown off. Everything was really tasty and the meat was fresh and seasoned super well. This may be one of my favorite pastas in OKC! The servings are a lot of bang for your buck -- we walked out stuffed, with lunch for tomorrow. New fave on my list, great for every night eats.

Unfortunately, the entrée didn't work for me. I believe it was a cream-sauce étouffée with shrimp and blackened catfish?, and the portion was huge. While the price point seemed inexpensive for the amount of food you receive, the flavors just didn't come together. It was extremely salty, had an overpowering spice that lingered on the back of my tongue, and overall just felt like there was too much going on. I ended up leaving most of it because it was genuinely difficult for me to eat. As someone born and raised in southeastern Louisiana, I know my perspective may be different from someone/OKC residents who isn't familiar with Cajun food. There's a GREAT misconception that Cajun food is supposed to be extremely spicy, when in reality, Louisiana food is about layers of flavor and seasoning, not simply heat, if any. For me, this dish was missing that balance. I will say the bartender was very sweet, attentive, and personable, and I really enjoyed our conversation. The customer service was definitely a positive!! Unfortunately, though, I wouldn't recommend the food based on my experience, and it's not somewhere I would return if I'm back in OKC. The portions were generous, but more food doesn't make up for a lack of balance and flavor.

I've tried a few places on this journey to satisfy my craving but none have been able to compete with the Crawfish Pot. Their crawfish have been consistent in flavor, freshness, and affordability. I literally got crawfish from here every single day last week and it's been *chefs kiss* I've only ordered takeout/pickup but the dining space looks really clean inside. The staff are super sweet and quick service (like 10 mins for pickup when they open). I've tried the Don seasoning in various spice levels. Spicy is my favorite. When I get over this craving I shall try other things on the menu but for now, check out this place!

We got a pound in each flavors in medium spice to try and everything was delicious. Then we added another pound of each flavor with extra hot seasoning. I prefer the medium. It's hard yo taste the flavors when it's too hot. The service was incredible. They made sure we had our cups full. My kids shared a chicken tender basket and fries and they ate it all. You can eat them for the special or take it to go. We will definitely be back to try other menu items. They were very busy when we were there and even then service was great. I highly recommend.

Online says they close at 9 but the staff said 8:30- no big deal, maybe call ahead to be sure! We each had a local beer that were both great and we were gifted a complimentary old fashioned bc they made an extra one on accident (extra point for that lol). Between the two of us, we ordered a side salad, gumbo, and boudin balls. Salad was good, great ranch dressing! Gumbo had good flavor but wasn't very warm (chocked it up to being close to close and didn't complain, no biggie). The boudin balls were the star of the show... cooked to perfection and the seasonings were delicious! I'd return time and time again just for those! For lunch, I ordered a side salad again (because of the good ranch, lol), added grilled chicken, an order of the hush puppies, and a cajun Bloody Mary. Salad was good, nothing to write home about. Hush puppies were mediocre but nothing wrong with them. Bloody Mary wasn't spicy as advertised and I didn't get much of a Cajun flavor out of it. It was fine but it just tasted like an average Bloody Mary. Overall, a good lunch. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant and I'd love to come back again. The atmosphere is great as well, the seating by the canal walk is pretty, and I love that they're very dog-friendly. Only gave 4 stars bc the service was a little bit slow for both visits, the lukewarm gumbo during dinner, and the lack of flavor for the Bloody Mary. Check it out sometime, cool spot!
