    Tea Cabinet

We had a delightful tea. But be warned, this is a small local place. It is carefully tended and nurtured. It is beautiful. And then it's tea, not a power lunch in Manhattan. When we had Saturday breakfast tea, we were early. We sat on the doorstep 'till 9 and we were the only people here. The clerk was doubling as server. But she was kind and efficient, so it worked. The tea was prepared well. The pastries perfect. Definitely coming back and bringing the girls & grandma. I liked this place. :)

Cozy gem here in lil town. Amazing!!!

This charming little gem is very sweet and "cozy". An outside patio with a vintage feel of a tea garden adorns the store. Stepping inside definitely brought on a rush of excitement and my nose began leading me to anything and everything their enormous selections. The staff is very knowledgable and feels like your best friend as they help by suggesting new and fitting to your desired mood. The Cozy Tea Cart will now be a highly recommended and visited stop to all my friends and part of my weekly routine. Thank you for an amazing experience. And I can't wait to try your amazing cafe abs selection of tea chocolate.

We stopped in here after a hike and it was the perfect place to relax and warm up. The teas are interesting and unique and there are tons of choices. Besides tea, we ordered the cheddar and basil biscuit, the tomato and fresh mozzarella panini, and a chocolate cupcake. The food was delicious, especially the biscuit. It's a super cute place with friendly staff. Obviously it's no fancy five star restaurant but that isn't the point. It's homey and has yummy, casual food as well as a great tea selection. The prices are very reasonable too. Only downside was slow service but we were in no rush.

Pesto sandwich was my favorite...delicious!!! There was a Chocolate truffle that melts in your mouth. Every item was soooo good! They had a special selection for the eight year old with yummy sandwiches, heart candy and non-caffeinated chocolates. The tea selections were amazingly delicious and the teacups and tea mugs were fancy. We also had Bellinis!! (Of course) Service: the two servers were very sweet and attentive to our needs. Perfect balance of providing what you need but then giving you plenty of space to talk while being active in the background in case you need them. Ambiance: The place was completely booked which we were not surprised about. Every item in that cafe was well thought of and period appropriate. I'd come here every week if I were closer!!

First, the prices are very reasonable and more accessible…read morethan many places in the city. $30 per person as opposed to ones that are $75 and up per person. They have a wonderful selection of teas to choose from and they have delicious menus of tea sandwiches, scones, and other treats. Everything is presented beautifully and every item we had was absolutely delicious. Another cool thing...you can mix and match items if you so please which most tea services do not allow. They have gluten free items as well and vegetarian options too. The service is lovely and the server we had is such a kind and lovely person. She offered to take pictures for people who were trying to do selfies of their entire table w/ friends/family. It was so nice to see. She was so excited for people having a great time and wanted to help them capture the fun w/ a nice photo. I will definitely be back and would love to try their other locations. I know they also offer a catering menu, and I would not hesitate to get an event catered from them. The food was perfectly presented and delicious to boot. So happy I cancelled my reservation at a more pricey place in the city after I read bad reviews about the pricey place and saw excellent reviews for The Vintage Tea & Cake Company. The excellent reviews were right and I'm so glad I took my mom to tea here.

When our tea came we did not even have napkins or spoons to stir the tea; the place had only one server for a holiday and everyone in the restaurant was waiting an extremely long time. Why wouldn't you have more servers at a tea house on Mother's Day? I wound up getting up from our table to get our spoons, knives, and napkins from a stand I saw because we weren't being paid attention to. The food itself was pretty measly. Would never ever return. Very bad experience.

The good: very cute spot, very kind employees, beautiful and creative drinks…read more I was visiting Hudson for a friend's birthday and this was the first stop on his bday crawl. I'm not drinking alcohol because I'm nursing my child, but the alcoholic drinks looked delicious. Since they had teas and nonalcoholic beverages - even asterisked to show which ones had caffeine - I was happy to order something, and I opted for their hot chocolate, the "Third Eye." I saw ingredients like cinnamon, cardamom, and coconut, and I was sold. Were there ingredients I didn't recognize? Yes. Did it say "medicinal hot chocolate"? Yes. Did I think anything of it? No. To me, ALL hot chocolates are medicinal. We all had our drinks and moved on to the next location. As we were walking, I felt...off, almost like I was drunk. By the time we sat down at the new spot, I said, "I feel like my head is expanding," like it was being pumped full of helium. "It's your third eye opening," someone said, I thought jokingly. "Ohhhhh yeah," said my birthday friend. "I forgot that when I went to the evergreen room when my wife was pregnant, there were a bunch of drinks they said she couldn't have because she was pregnant." So I began googling the ingredients I didn't recognize and noticed that all of them said "Avoid consuming while pregnant or nursing." Therefore, the bad: if there are ingredients that people don't know offhand are bad to consume while pregnant or nursing, they need to be indicated on the menu. If they can asterisk drinks with caffeine, they can denote this as well. I would not have ordered the hot chocolate had I known. I wasn't aware of the "hippy dippy" nature of this place, as the locals were, so it didn't even occur to me to ask. If they fix that one thing in the menu, I'd give them five stars!
