There's flies in the bakery case. So I have doubts on sanitation of the fruits going in the shakes

There a flies in the bakery case. Service is fine. There are vegetarian options. Overall if you need to it's fine but I have doubts about sanitation.

'No shoes, no shirt' is not applicable to this Venice local morning haunt. Acai bowls, sandwiches, bagels, pastries, coffee, matcha. They offer anything you could want pre-2pm. I like the vibe in here, I think there's a quieter study spot upstairs, but tables outside and some limited bar seating inside. I particularly like the open windows. The line and food service moved fairly quickly. The pastries were just ok, hence the 4 stars. I've had better, lighter, moister croissants and scones. The iced strawberry matcha was a bit too syrup-y, but nonetheless delicious. This spot is very reasonably priced by California standards and on a great street to walk around.

Cruising up Washington Street toward the Pacific (American?) Ocean, I spy a coffee shop with a half-dozen or so men of a certain age (viz. old) sitting outside. Thus, "The Old Guys Rule" is invoked. In we go. Busy, busy, busy. Good local vibe. The barista keeps the line moving. Coffee is very good. Pastries were just ok. The prepared burritos and açaí bowl looked good.

Adequate breakfast place. I had a wrap, my wife had a chocolate croissant, plus a very large coffee with milk for her and organic Earl Grey tea for me

Came here one Sunday on the earlier side for breakfast. A small, cramped ordering area with any bottled/canned drinks in the back. The guy at the counter taking orders came off a bit gruff at first, but quickly softened and recommended the avocado/egg-white toast. Seating's non-managed, so I just grabbed a table (alas, I had a family at the table behind me with a screaming toddler yelling in my ear the whole time, ugh). After a while I went back inside to see if they had my order ready, which they did. Food was good, but not that memorable (for breakfast you won't soon forget, I highly recommend Eggslut up the road!). Ate my food quickly and boogied outta there wishing I'd gone to Eggslut instead. :-(

Bagels were very good. Service was nice. Lot of regulars every morning, that's a good sign. Would come back.

Popular coffee pot on Washington in Venice Beach with a casual vibe with lots of locals. Picture a lot of gen x surfers, bare feet, dogs and a smattering of tourists. Coffee is decent, pastries subpar, but prepared food (bagels, sandwiches and salad) looked good.

We stopped here for brunch while renting bikes, and it was the perfect little spot to take a break. The area is super cute, though very busy, so expect some crowds. I got the Venice smoothie--it was good, but nothing mind-blowing. My date, on the other hand, got a bagel sandwich, and wow it was amazing! The bagel was huge, fluffy, and just perfect. Definitely had some food envy! Overall, a great brunch stop, especially if you're in the area and looking for something casual but tasty. I'd come back and try a bagel for myself next time!

Had a delicious iced mango matcha latte and sat inside the treehouse like space admiring the pothos growth crawling around the space. It's very quirky, with multiple levels and kind staff. Went right to the beach after!

We go here before our walks at Venice all the time. For my fiancé, it's one of her favorite strawberry matchas. For me, one of my favorite iced vanilla latte's. They also have a great assortment of baked goods. I got a sugar free churro donut and it was amazing. Highly recommend trying it if you're on the sugar free wave!

Great coffee! Great service!

The food and service were great. The ambiance didn't score a ten to me, but it was close. I would go back to try some of their other dishes.

Do you have gluten free options for your baked goods? (Bagels, etc?)

Everything was fresh, good portions and most importantly actually flavorful. The Seoul Bowl was the healthier option and still had plenty of flavor. The Po Boy sandwich was my fav.. not exactly "health food" but not overly heavy either. Just the right balance. I had never tried pea protein shrimp before so I was a little skeptical but it was surprisingly delicious and worked really well in the sandwich. We both like our food spicy and they were great about customizing it for us. They added jalapeños to my sandwich and gave us spicy mayo on the side which pretty much made the meal perfect for our taste. The grilled organic tempeh was the only thing I personally found a little bland but my wife really liked it so probably more of a preference thing than an issue with the dish. The Sunset Smoothie was thick, tasted great and was a very good portion. Yes, prices are definitely on the higher side but unlike some other places in the area where you pay premium prices and leave wondering why, here the portions and especially the quality made it worth it. We would definitely come back.

It's a cute little spot, space is clean, and they have a bathroom for customers. There's a small parking lot in the shopping center where you can park for free too, yay!

I would order the "calamari" again, but likely would try something different than the Mt Tam Triple Cream. Both were decent servings and tasty. For dinner, the spring green salad was a generous size and also enjoyed a side of the Japanese sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes may have been my favorite thing that evening. Also tried the lions mane steak and it was delicious and the texture reminded me of a rare to medium rare steak. Very good and filling meal. I found their tipping a bit sly with the first option being 25%, then 22% and then 20%. And then when I got my receipt, it provided a print out of suggested additional tip off on the check - and the tip amounts started at 2% put to 7% - all much lower than the 25% I tipped. There is also a health and wellness charge that I didn't recall seeing on the menu. Happy to support, but would appreciate the transparency in advance. Because they come with the credit card machine to your table you don't get to see the paper printout prior to paying. So my friend and I may have each tipped more than we should. That didn't feel so good leaving.

The food is over priced the dishes are no big deal. I would not return again. I liked the outdoor patio.

The line was a bit long, so I opted to place my order online (which quotes a longer wait than in-person:/ and they prioritized me after I asked, even though they didn't have to:) I'm a sucker for a good customer experience.
