I really like this smallish Erewhon store. The valet parking attendant is very nice and always helps you navigate the gnarly parking lot. Even though the selection is smaller than other Erewhon stores, there is still something for everyone. Everything is in its proper place and is neatly organized throughout the day. The ready-made foods section is, of course my favorite and I am currently obsessed with the Asian Chicken Salad-no notes! I also like the guacamole and it's less to buy it here than to bother making it yourself (for a small container anyway!) The Madchip chocolate chip cookies are yummy with the perfect amount of crunch and chewiness. I also love the Chicken Noodle Soup and could eat it by the gallon. Granola is also good, a bit pricey for what you get. The Faroe Island Salmon is also great. All in all, I don't think Erewhon is that badly overpriced for the great taste-Smoothies excluded! Service is very friendly in all departments and ambience is Venice casual so I fit right in!

My history with Erewhon began over 25 years ago at the OG Beverly Grove location. You can't beat the nutrient dense, high quality ingredients in the food. I'm obsessed with the Mason jar soups, the premade salads, AND the Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower. The tonic/smoothie bar has an extensive menu with superfood ingredients you will not find ANYWHERE ELSE. I always get the Turmeric latte or one of the bone broth tonics (sometimes both) when I'm feeling under the weather, along with a couple of immune boosting juices from the fresh juice case. That said, the smoothies are the real hit. My favorites are the Maca Bomb, Turmeric Crush, and The Goddess. They cost between $15-$20, but if you pretend it's a "meal replacement" the price doesn't hit so hard, lol. The MUST TRY celeb smoothie of the month (November) is Erykah Badu's Mama's Bang Bang, packed with 15 superfood ingredients. The flavor: earthy green, citrusy, with a smooth coconut cream swirl that hits your taste palate like a sweet surprise. The feeling: A euphoric rush you won't forget. It's the perfect smoothie to start your morning. The Strawberry Glaze smoothie, aka Hailey Bieber smoothie is another must try ("locals" already know). The glazed strawberries and coconut cream swirl will have you hooked.

I'm so embarrassed that I spent over $40 on mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and 1 meatball!! When they say this place is expensive, they are not joking. But at this point, I think it's just expensive to be expensive. They carry a lot of the same products that Whole Foods does, but at a much higher cost. I was comparing product for product and shocked to see the massive inflation here. On the plus, they have great service and there are a lot of people on the floor ready to help you out. The Hailey Bieber smoothie is also delicious (even if it costs $20). I totally get paying extra for a premium product, but I don't understand paying more for something you can get somewhere else.

It's an experience man... Take some nickels with you , as a matter fact, take all your nickels and dimes and quarters and Benjamins! It is impressive , as well as expensive. I appreciated how they had so many of their snacks and their soups and things like that in glass jars . That's very important to me. Not only that I did appreciate the pure ingredients that I read on so many of the packaged foods and jarred soups. It's exactly like what you would make at home for your family. They pretty much have anything that you would want , but in a designer form. I just wanted to go in and look around . Fill up my eyeballs with all things good and yummy. Of course, I ended up getting a few little things here and there popcorn , protein shake pumpkin seeds etc.... Pay all your bills first , and then head over to Erewhon and treat yourself.

Finally tried the viral Hailey Bieber smoothie! Lemme tell you, it was good but not worth $20 LOL. There was no line which was awesome and the drinks were made pretty quickly. Parking is limited, good luck snagging a spot somewhere along the street or at one of the lots behind the structures lol.

updated review! This is my 2nd time visiting Erewhon Venice after 2 years. Not much has changed as it's super busy but maybe the menu and selection has. I was able to snag the tiktok viral sushi sandwich which I've been dying to try. I'll say it was pretty good and it was packed with a lot of fresh fish which I appreciate. My homegirl enjoyed her roll and it was the perfect lunch before I went off to the airport. The smoothies never miss, call me biased but I love a good smoothie and I don't mind the price if the ingredients are high quality + healthy. Health is wealth! The Kali Uchis smoothie didn't taste that off from the Hailey Bieber one, it's a slight distinction from what I remember. I love both... There's nothing from this place I haven't liked so far. Next time I'll have to try Hailey's soft serve, hot bar food, and the blue coconut smoothie. I miss it already and I'm always craving Erewhon lol. Sushi sandwich 7/10 yummy but rice was a little stale tasting Roll 8/10 Kali Uchis smoothie 9/10 on the thicker side, a little hard to drink Hailey Bieber 10/10 ofc!

Stopped by erewhon because we were in the LA area so of course we had to check it out. We had just eaten lunch so we did not try the hot bar but that did not stop us from ordering the Hailey beiber smoothie. This was nice and fresh but definitely a little sweeter than what I was expecting. But cup and 20 bucks for a smoothie. Service was a little slow given how many people had ordered the smoothie but we ended up getting it after all! Ambiance here is nice though definitely an upscale grocery story!

I was roadtrippin and heard great things about the Westside Whimsy so I decided to grab one while I was in the Venice Beach area. The only thing I want to note is that the Westside Whimsy was a lil pricey for a smoothie but if you care about supporting the artists you love then it is worth it. This smoothie is a collaboration with R&B Artist, Jhene Aiko. While I waited for order, I decided to get some goodies in the store. In the produce section I grabbed a couple of mango oranges for the first time which is like the blood orange's cousin. The taste exceeded my expectations. While shopping around I also picked up a sleepy time supplement and fresh spring water. If you are looking to invest in your wellness, I highly recommend picking up a Westside Whimsy to Treat Yo Self and checking out Erewhon overall. If you like shopping at places like Whole Foods or Sprouts then Erewhon is another good grocery store to add in your rotation!

I love this erewhon location because it's great for a little quick snack or smoothie while shopping on abbot kinney! I got the new kali uchis smoothie with strawberry, mango, and passion fruit. The worker was super nice and recommended it since it was "our best smoothie right now". I was a little disappointed because it just tasted like a tart strawberry smoothie:( the strawberry glaze is better by far. The blue spirulina also left a weird powdery taste in my mouth. I love erewhon but be warned that the Kali uchis smoothie is disappointing.

In my journey to find the best grocery store rotisserie chicken in the world, I had to see what Erewhons bird was all about. I knew it was gonna be expensive as I feel like they run a business on sticker shock, but I really wasn't expecting $27.93. That HURTS. For comparison, Whole Foods organic chicken was $12.99. But, my current judging system is based on how good the chicken is, not on value per chicken. So I had to separate the $27.93 from this bird who didn't ask to be priced that way. However, I do think there are some expectations tied to higher price, but that's basic human nature and I won't dive too deep into that here. They had this big fancy fire burning rotisserie machine, and that's when I knew I was in trouble. My favorite roasted chickens from across the planet all have similar, no frills rotisserie ovens. Never have I seen this rotating gauntlet of chicken that looked more like a Disneyland attraction than an oven made to cook the chicken as efficiently as possible. A lot of fluff. The chicken turned out to be dry and lacking flavor. I needed water after every bite. I hadn't been this disappointed since game 6 of the 2008 NBA finals, when the Lakers got TORCHED by 39 in Boston to lose the series. As an 8 year old, that was tough to process. Final Tissy score was 6.5/10. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

I think everyone visiting Los Angeles should experience Erewhon. It has a reputation of being pricey and to some degree that is true. They also have items that I think are worth the price. I walked out with some jars of turkey chili that were really good. Their hot food counter is reasonably priced as well. They have free valet parking.

The best Erewhon on the westside. The hot bar is always fresh and amazing. The selection is always fully stocked. Generally though busy, the lines move quickly and staff are efficient. People watching is great and surprisingly their parking situation is not bad. This is my favorite Erewhon on the westside.

So... take my review seriously!!! I tried almost all their food and can give a detailed rundown on each one. They have amazing, amazing, amazing food made with love here and employees that are incredibly kind and funny. They're welcoming and you can tell they really enjoy working at Rainbow Acres and want to spread good vibes. Their food is made in house, from scratch, exactly what it is. No food dyes or processing. Just fresh, straightforward food for a good price. RAINBOW ACRES MADE ME SHED A TEAR. I was so incredibly ecstatic to find an healthy, grocery CO-OP near me. The smoothies are great, they sometimes have samples. They're all delicious and they also can be paid with EBT. Their guac and chips was actually the best I've ever had from a grocery store. The guacamole had enough salt and lime, like... whole foods and chipotle guac was PUT TO SHAME. Well-seasoned, super chunky, cilantro, red onion, tomato, mmm, and those chips were actually fresh tortilla chips. So crunchy and light. So yum. God. Their sandwich was insane. Slices and heaps of chicken breast for double the price of a sprouts sandwich and quadruple times more tasty. Don't second guess it, just get it!!! BBQ chicken and ranch salad was insane. I ate it in like 10 mins and my stomach was bulging. When you see it, it will be irresistible. The grilled chicken is marinated and covered in a sweet bbq sauce and their housemade ranch is seasoned deeply, comparable to wingstop's ranch. Crunchy lil tortilla chips and crunchy salad with some roasted corn. Every single thing in that plate had its own flavor, unlike the prepackaged slop at other stores. However, it was close to $20... The fruit tart was FRESH and yummy, a tad sweet, but all the fruit was incredibly quality. The crust left a little to be desired, but great nonetheless. Their hot deli food is great too. We got a parm crusted chicken breast and it was very juicy and flavorful. The samples were great, even their curry is packed with flavor. Their turkey chili was insanely hearty and delicious, thankfully not too salty. chili mango is the best my boyfriend claims he's ever had. immense selection of unique canned and bottled drinks. They make their own green smoothies and juices in glass bottles, but there's also local branded magnesium teas, adaptogens, sparkling waters, etc. LOTS AND LOTS of vegan options. Great selection of teas and medicinal herbs and pure oils meant for the skin. I picked up some grapeseed oil and snacks. Some of the prices here are cheaper than whole foods, but some are more expensive. I really love Rainbow Acres, but some of their prices can be expensive. However, when factoring in the quality, freshness, and how the food is SIMPLE AND CLEAN AND HOPEFULLY AS ETHICAL AS IT CAN BE, it justifies the prices. The employees are always helpful, so it does help to imagine that the higher prices go to them as well. I'm really happy that this place exists. It's not pretentious and makes clean eating accessible for anyone.
