Right by the docks where we were is the Bridge Bar and restaraunt. They have ample indoor seating and a large patio overlooking the docks and river. We chose a table outside and were quickly greeted by our server. Upon reviewing the menu I decided on a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy and hot. The food here is great, the service is great and the views are great. We will definitely be back next time we visit Fremont!

After reviewing the menu, I decided on the Burbon Bacon Mushroom Burger. Any one of those items are good, but all 4 together, that's a grand slam. I enjoyed the river view and a beer while I waited. People fishing, boaters cruising the river, and nice patio dining. My burger was up in about a half hour. This qwa a 1/3 pound burger topped with crispy applewood smoked bacon, mushrooms and provolone cheese served with bourbon sauce. It came with a side of crispy potato chips. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium and the melted cheese ran down the sides of the bun when I bit into it. It was loaded with sautéed mushrooms and crispy thick sliced bacon. The burger was drizzled with a sweet and tangy sauce that had hint of Bourbon. The chips may have been homemade, I'm not sure, but there were plenty of them. This burger will forever live on my best burger list. This meal and this place is worth returning to when in Fremont again

Absolutely Outstanding -- The Outpost Nailed It!…read more Had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Outpost! The steak was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you order a great steak. The haddock was just as impressive--fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. Both meals were outstanding. But what really made the night was the staff. Manager Darcie was phenomenal--friendly, attentive, and clearly runs a great operation. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and the experience they're having. Blaze was absolutely hustling as the barback and deserves some recognition. That guy was moving nonstop and helping keep everything running smoothly. Bella behind the bar was awesome--great personality, attentive, funny, and made us feel right at home. That's the kind of bartender who turns a good dinner into a great night. And I've gotta mention Scott too. Cool guy, great sense of humor, and added to the fun atmosphere. Great food, great drinks, great people, and a staff that actually seems to enjoy taking care of their customers. The Outpost absolutely knocked it out of the park. We'll definitely be back. Five stars all day long!

Inside it was clean, well lit and offered your typical rural, Wisconsin bar and grill feel. When we entered we were greeted and upon grabbing a seat, were able to quickly order an adult beverage. One thing I will say about their staff is they were all helpful and friendly throughout our visit. The menu offered a nice variety of appetizers and entrees. They had several specials listed for the evening. I had convinced myself to have a hamburger on this trip. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss; as did my dining partner. We also ordered some deep fried green beans. While both of our burgers tasted good and were cooked appropriately, we lamented the small portion of mushrooms on each of our burgers. The green beans were also good, but the order could have been a bit bigger for the price. Overall, it wasn't fancy but the food was good and the service was great. I'm sure we will try it again.

The bar inside is nice and they have a back patio that looks out at the river and they have binoculars to nature watch. I would go back but I would probably get an entree that would be more reasonably portioned.
