We have gone here a number of times with good experiences. Last evening we had a terrible experience. My wife and I both ordered broasted chicken - one of the specials for the day. It took a long time, but hers finally came. The bartender looked at me with a puzzled look and said I'll check on yours. After a while, he finally said that they had an issue with the broaster. My wife finished eating and my food finally showed up. The potato salad was inedible. I had lost my apetite by then and we just took the chicken home. The couple next to us had an issue with his prime rib (also a special of the day) being over done and he sent it back and ordered a hamburger. A group across the bar ordered a pizza and over an hour later were still waiting - again, no explanation. Very disappointed and not sure we will go back. No apology or discount offered by the staff. They were "busy" running around, but the place wasn't thatt busy. I think they were just avoiding interacting with the customers due to the poor service. read more

We went in for lunch on a quiet afternoon. The staff was prompt and seated us right away. We all had burgers and sandwiches that were freshly made and the potato chips were homemade in house! Well done! % recommend. read more

Stopped in for lunch on our way to an overnight stay in Green Lake. Enjoyed our Green Lake Burger and haystack onion rings, we decided on the spot to come back for some ribs and broasted chicken (Thursday Special). Everything was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. You could tell it was a favorite of the locals, which is always a good sign. 100% recommend! read more

Staying with family on the lake for week and was taken to this small, unassuming spot. Half bar and half restaurant, we walked into a packed house. Luckily we had reservations so didn't have to wait long. Ordered a few drinks which were beyond, reasonably priced! Sat down and ordered appetizers of fries, fried broccoli and Mac n cheese bites. All were very tasty! For entrees we had a mix between beer battered fish, pizza and burgers for the table. Although it was a very long wait, the food was all great. This is a hidden gem of a spot where casual attire is ok and food and drink are a great value! read more

Went there on a recommendation for the Wednesday all you can eat Walleye it was great cooked perfectly and served hot so I went back on Saturday to try there prime rib and it was just as good. Great service also. read more

We went early on a Saturday night for the Prime Rib. We were not disappointed. They had a nice but small salad bar that did the trick. There was only one choice of size so that worried me at first. When my entree arrived, I was impressed by the size of the meat compared to the price I paid. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. read more

Best deal is the Wednesday baby Walleye. They offer all you can eat, but I never finish the first plate and I'm a big boy! Breasted chicken special is also very good. Their pizza is decent too. My sister and I had their prime rib on Saturday special. Have to say it was not good at all. Maybe they got a bad rib roast because it has been excellent in the past, but based on last experience I'll be looking elsewhere for prime rib. Great local bar/restaurant. Been coming here for years but in the last 3 years the food has been even better than the year before. Bust on Friday and Saturday during summer months but worth the wait! Broasted chicken, fish, wraps, burgers, ribs and prime rib specials...something for everyone. Kim, Eddie and of course Carla are awesome! Price is right and the drinks are really good. We went for the Friday night fish fry and this was our first time there. I found a lot to like about the place. Margarita was really good as written in other reviews. Chardonnay pour was hefty. Really enjoyed the salad bar. Here's the bottom line. The perch was average at best. The cod was really good. I can't put my finger on the chicken - it left a lot to be desired. Breast and Drumstick were overcooked but the thigh was really good. It's tricky I get it. Fish and chicken combo on a busy night. At the end of the day, give the place a try. read more

Service was friendly but kitchen was somewhat slow and we were the only table... Food was NOT good, fries were cold, salad was brown.... the only saving grace... get the chips and dip. We went on an off night (Tues.) and would be willing to go back and try the fish fry but I don't recommend the regular menu. read more

The "baby walleye" is a great addition to the menu. Lightly breaded and deep fried at the right temperature so it was light and flaky, not oily like some other local places. Good draft beer as well. After some ups and downs over the last 30 years we have been going there, the place is back to its reliable self, and, as locals, we're glad. read more

Great local bar, I recommend asking to try the Mcfunyun shot! good people, we were there the first night they reopened so the kitchen was not open, so we were not able to try the cheese curds. My only complaint is that at times it took a bit to get a drink because the bartenders know everyone, but by the end of the night we knew them too, which is what made this place so great.
