This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. Our waitress was sweet and the service was quick. Unfortunately we were never informed of the specials available that evening (which we would have ordered). We did not receive a bread basket with our entree. The side salad was minuscule. My fried shrimp was flavorless; it earned a grade of C. The accompanying cocktail sauce was frozen. I chose sweet potato fries as my side and they were burned, barely recognizable. My partner ordered a burger which was very greasy and earned a B- We don't understand why the hash brown are considered 'famous' as they were also given a grade of C. I'm guessing they do have better tasting selections but we won't be trying them. read more

Bad food and bad service... Our waitress was so loud she was shouting in our ears! She also wouldn't split our bill, when other waitresses were splitting it for other groups. And I had the worst steak I've ever had. The only person who enjoyed their food out of our party of 8 was a kid who had a small pizza... So we definitely don't recommend this place. read more

If you are in the area-- this place is a MUST VISIT!!!! Such good food, awesome staff and friendly, hometown bar atmosphere! Best dam place on the block (right across the Green Lake Dam). Great prices on food, heaping servings and great service. I had popcorn shrimp and it was fresh and cooked right. It wasn't mushy or rubbery. Their Cole slaw was very good too. My parents split the pork roast dinner special and my husband had a sirloin. Everything was cooked to order as we requested and no one had complaints about the food. Their cheese curds appetizer was good as well, although I prefer Pioneer Keg's curds. The wait staff was extremely nice and friendly. They were a little slow because there was a big party that came in but they were thankful for our patience and apologetic about any gaps in service. I am a little torn on this one. We had several, including our hotel, who told us to go to Adam's. Then we had several who told us not to go to Adam's. We we went. We met a couple of friends for drinks and some dinner. We had the drinks in the bar area and had planned to move over to the dining room, but decided to go ahead and eat in the bar. Ordered the rack of ribs and it was good. Started off with some curds and onion rings. Not a super exciting place, but the food was good and the beer was cold. read more

My name is Adam, so I HAD to try this restaurant! The breaded mushrooms appetizer was decent. But their ranch sauce was AWESOME. Tasted like garlic parmesan. The ultimate ham and cheese sandwich was probably one of the best ham and cheese sandwiches I've ever had. A bit salty, but forgiveable based on its other components. I walked in at 12:36 in the afternoon and the bartender greeted me and made me a drink. I asked for a menu and she gave me one. And a tray to put my food on at the bar. Then proceeded to walk away from me and ignore me for the next half hour, I went and got cash and asked her to ring me out and she said oh, you decided not to eat? I said my menu is gone and no one asked for my order so I guess no. She immediately got snippy with me and started making excuses about how someone else takes your order and acted like I was being unreasonable . Whatever! How many people come through Green Lake, Wisconsin on a Tuesday? They had one shot to impress me and they failed miserably. read more

This is quintessential Wisconsin. I had an amazing burger and fries and our waitress did a very fine job.

We were in town to visit some friends who we haven't seen in way to long. They are also new to the area after moving there a couple of years ago. They had been here before for dinner and told us it was a good place. Adam's rib is easily located in town with plenty of parking and in a scenic area near the water. They have a bar area with some games and a dining room. The menu has several options from burgers to pizza to some seafood and steak. I couldn't decide between the fried perch dinner (I love friend perch) and the pork chop dinner. Our friend Dave also couldn't decide between the pork chop dinner and a seafood platter with perch and shrimp. So I offered to order one and he could order the other so we could share. He responded with a "what if I don't want to share". :) He said he really enjoyed the pork chops last time so he was going to order that again. Trying to keep my Cholesterol under 1000 and I had already decided I was going to order their homemade hash browns as a side, I went with the pork chops too. The dinner came with a salad and our table was served with some warm dinner rolls. Both were good. The pork chop dinner is actually 2 nice sized grilled pork chops, a few mushrooms and some apple sauce. The pork chops were good. They could have used a little more seasoning and they were a tad overcooked, otherwise good. The odd part was they were served over what seemed like a plate of au jus. As much as they are a good pair, I have never ate my pork chops with apple sauce. I did that this time and it was pretty darn good. The sweetness from the applesauce was a nice compliment to the savory and smoky chops. I felt the highlight was the homemade hash browns. Clearly fresh grated potatoes that were crispy on the outside, yet tender and fluffy on the inside. Kind of like me. My wife ordered the Kevin McCallister special (her very own cheese pizza). Patty our other friend ordered the French fried lobster. That disappeared rather quickly which is a testament to how good that was. Sounds like they are known for their ribs. Appropriate based on their name. Next time we are in town, I think I'll try the ribs.....and maybe have someone order that perch dinner so I can have my version of surf and turf. read more

One of our favorite go-to restaurants when we are in Green Lake! Good food and fun bar, plus the service is always good!

I'll keep this one brief. Don't tell me it will be an hour, take our name, and then proceed to let other walk-ins eat and then when we check to make sure you haven't forgotten us tell us that now you need to worry about the next wave of reservations so now it might be another hour? Unacceptable. If there was no room for us in tonight's service, just say so. This is the third time I have tried to eat here because my wife has some weird fantasy that eventually we will have a good experience. Zero for three. I think we would have a better experience with truck stop sushi than to continue to return to a place with "Award-Winning" food. I can't actually rate the restaurant based on the food since I took my grandson out to the car while we waited for my wife to order and then get some food to go. Businesses are closing up in Green Lake left and right. Based on this experience, I can understand why. Next time I'll let my wife wish for a better experience. read more

Great place to grab dinner in the Green Lake area, even late at night. My mom and I ordered take out for the first time here and were not disappointed. The girls working there are very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and well portioned. The restaurant itself looks like a great place to kick back at as well, and it features a sports bar upon entry if you want to grab a drink and catch a game on TV. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a bite to eat in the area and plan on coming back when I'm in town again. read more

We went here for dinner before heading out for drinks, and the food was alright. It was cooked right, the dishes/silverware were clean, and our table was set. I wasn't blown away by the food, but it was satisfying. Prices were very reasonable, and service was awesome- our waitress was quick, friendly, and when a member of our party didn't like his steak, she took it off of the bill, without him even asking. I don't know why you would stop, a drink? You are lost? Went for the taco special and I am sure it was leftover bbq. It wasn't even warm. Cheap but you get what you pay for. I am a townie and I don't go here. When people come back to town to visit family they may stop for a drink but that's about it. How is this place still in business? There isn't much open here in the winter, that is all. Walk past in the summer and you can smell why people don't typically eat here. My wife got the walleye dinner, which was cooked perfectly (like it said on the menu) but felt it was under seasoned. I got the sirloin steak (medium rare) which came in two pieces. First, I want to acknowledge this place may be short staffed due to known issues. We arrived at 6:30pm and sat in bar area. We let the bartender know we wanted to order dinner. My husband was directed to hostess stand to let them know we wanted to order dinner. A waitress showed up around 6:40 pm to take our dinner order. The salad, soup and bread basket was delivered promptly. After 7: 20 pm, we inquired on our dinner orders, we were instructed to check with our waitress. The waitress showed up to ask what was the issue at 7:30 pm. We stated lets cancel the order all together. She stated she would check on the order. She shows up two minutes later with the steak my husband ordered (no baked potato) and let us in know the perch I ordered hasn't been cooked yet. We declined the entire order outright. We were told that "a lot of people ordered fish fry". Hello, its Friday and that is what the business is hawking. Do NOT go to this establishment until they get their act together. read more

Went here for dinner on a Friday night just after the 4th of July. Although we had a reservation, the place was already packed and we waited at the bar for about 20 minutes. That being said, our service was simply outstanding. The wait staff was knowledable, funny, and relaxed despite the sheer number of people there and we never felt we were waiting for service, or food. Over half our group got the ribs. They were extremely tasty, and the bbq sauce had a gentle kick and a bit of sugar, just the right spot between hot and sweet. They were "fall off the bone" good. The two soups that evening, chicken dumpling and beer cheese, were both equally good and highly recommended. For my side, I ordered the hash browns with green peppers, onions and cheese and they clearly were separately baked in a small pan. They were amazingly delicious and a huge portion. The bartender did a great job with our Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. I'd be more than happy to go back and try other things on the menu. Very good food and simply amazing service. Loved it. read more
