Unfortunately we were never informed of the specials available that evening (which we would have ordered). We did not receive a bread basket with our entree. The side salad was minuscule. My fried shrimp was flavorless; it earned a grade of C. The accompanying cocktail sauce was frozen. I chose sweet potato fries as my side and they were burned, barely recognizable. My partner ordered a burger which was very greasy and earned a B- We don't understand why the hash brown are considered 'famous' as they were also given a grade of C. I'm guessing they do have better tasting selections but we won't be trying them.

It took a long time, but hers finally came. The bartender looked at me with a puzzled look and said I'll check on yours. After a while, he finally said that they had an issue with the broaster. My wife finished eating and my food finally showed up. The potato salad was inedible. I had lost my apetite by then and we just took the chicken home. The couple next to us had an issue with his prime rib (also a special of the day) being over done and he sent it back and ordered a hamburger. A group across the bar ordered a pizza and over an hour later were still waiting - again, no explanation. Very disappointed and not sure we will go back. No apology or discount offered by the staff. They were "busy" running around, but the place wasn't thatt busy. I think they were just avoiding interacting with the customers due to the poor service.

We got a couple drinks, never got refills even though we wanted them. We got the nachos, which were alright at best. My wife got the chicken tacos which were bland. I got the fish fry which was okay but the food runner dumped half of my fries on the table. I was not happy at this point. Wanted some ranch and more drinks but no waitress. As soon as a huge group came in with no reservation all attention to us came to a halt. They dragged the tables and chairs around directly behind us shaking the floor and disrupting our already distracted date night. Then started bumping into my chair so they could all squeeze in. Then as soon as we got up they grabbed our table for themselves immediately. It's way too loud in there, we couldn't hear each other not because of the amount of people but because the music was so loud. 70$ for 2 people is kind of insane for the service and food we got. Seems like this place is geared more towards tourists and bros rather than people who live and grow up here. Disappointing waste of our date night. Called back to give feedback after we left and the person we talked to obviously couldn't care less. We will not be back. Very unfortunate.

About a year ago, I wrote a very critical review because, in my opinion, the restaurant had fallen far below the standard that made it a Green Lake favorite. That review has since been removed because it no longer reflects today's experience. With new ownership, strong leadership, and a renewed focus on quality and service, Norton's has made an impressive comeback. If you had a disappointing experience over the past year or so, I encourage you to give it another try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

When my plate came out amongst the others that my table ordered it was very disappointing. Especially since Mac and Cheese is so cheap to make. They could at least add corn bread with it. I will say besides the ridiculously small plate of Mac and Cheese for $15, the food tasted amazing! I also ordered their old fashion which was very good! The bar inside is nice and they have a back patio that looks out at the river and they have binoculars to nature watch. I would go back but I would probably get an entree that would be more reasonably portioned.

We drive past Roadhouse Pizza often, and finally made a plan to stop in for pizza…read more Walking in, I was surprised to find mod looking light wood booths and tables in an airy space. The restaurant, which used to be Gus' Pizza, with the pizza prep area in the front window, was reconfigured and remodeled several years ago. We sat at the bar and boards on the wall noted drink specials, food specials, and mocktails. They also had about 10 draft beers available. We ordered some garlic cheese bread, and I had a red wine while we waited for our pepperoni sausage pizza. If seated at the bar, you can order there, otherwise there is a station where you can order and then head to a table to wait for your food or wait to grab carryout. They had two double deck ovens, and were busy, but our service was attentive. The dining area was full early on a Saturday night with families and sports teams. Our pizza, with house made crust, and hand seasoned sauce had delicious flavors with a sausage nugget carefully placed on each pepperoni slice. Despite the name, Roadhouse Pizza also features hoagies, sandwiches, burgers, and more. If I lived closer I would be a regular patron at Roadhouse for sure.

We arrived and open to door to a JAM PACKED BAR, we were not so sure at the beginning of this was the place. But one of the ladies followed us out and convinced us to stay. So that they don't clog up tables with people just waiting. Our server Brittany was AMAZING. Very kind, quick, and every time you asked for something she brought it right away, never missed anything or forgot anything. The restaurant dining area is smaller and cozy, but they are trying those tables as fast as they can. And the food is outstanding, great flavor. And large portions, you get a lot of extras too. Like the fritters which are kinda like a sugar doughnut. Would definitely recommend this place.
