It's way too loud in there, we couldn't hear each other not because of the amount of people but because the music was so loud. 70$ for 2 people is kind of insane for the service and food we got. Seems like this place is geared more towards tourists and bros rather than people who live and grow up here. Disappointing waste of our date night. The couple next to us had an issue with his prime rib (also a special of the day) being over done and he sent it back and ordered a hamburger. A group across the bar ordered a pizza and over an hour later were still waiting - again, no explanation. Very disappointed and not sure we will go back. No apology or discount offered by the staff. Norton's of Green Lake is back--and it's not just because Gage purchased the restaurant…read more While Gage is making meaningful improvements, much of the credit also belongs to Greg, the manager, whose leadership has helped restore Norton's to the place we all know and love. About a year ago, I wrote a very critical review because, in my opinion, the restaurant had fallen far below the standard that made it a Green Lake favorite. That review has since been removed because it no longer reflects today's experience. With new ownership, strong leadership, and a renewed focus on quality and service, Norton's has made an impressive comeback. If you had a disappointing experience over the past year or so, I encourage you to give it another try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
