Live music on the weeknights is nice and even though it was crowded, we were able to place an order to go and it only took about 15 minutes for the food to be ready. I got the Turkey Club sandwich and my wife got the Grilled Shrimp Platter -- and then we split the Caprese Dip. All the dishes were reasonably priced and the quality was way more than what we expected. If we were in the area, we'd certainly order from here again. Worst restaurant experience I've had in years. Been coming here for 15 years but ever since it changed ownership it's been awful. We got there around 6:30 and were told a 30 minute wait, waited an hour. We got seated and waited another 20 minutes for a server to get to our table. We order food and waited another hour and eventually left without paying when the place was almost emptied out. We were there for over two hours and never got any food. We asked for a manager and still couldn't get any help. If I could've given them 0 stars, I would've. Astonishingly bad service. On top of all that the beer was flat and warm. 0 out of 10 experience. Drive to taco dive or barrel house in winnsboro I guarantee you will have a better time. read more

We've been here at least a dozen times. Each time, the service is great and the food is good quality, reliable comfort food. The fries are really good and the shrimp are huge. Great potion sizes too. The best part of this spot is the location. Fantastic views of Lake Cypress Springs from the sprawling patio! There's even a playground for the kids and some other outdoor yard activities. read more

Have eaten here 3 times. First time had a burger which was good. Hand pressed patty. Second time it was blue cheese take out burger with preformed patty and it was AWFUL. We decided to try this out since we were staying 3 minutes down the road in tall pines and the people from work told us to go. We sat on the heated patio. We got pizza, the special for the day which was chicken Alfredo and mermaid drink . They were all really good. I would definitely go back especially for the pizza. read more

This little gem started our vacation off right! We rented the Pontoon with tube & had such a great time! (FYI- you pay gas tank fill up after your done) No mechanical issues and the boat was very clean! The lake is well kept up with beautiful houses all around. We had lunch at The cove restaurant after our water day and every meal was perfect! Greatly seasoned & good size portions for what you would expect to pay at any restaurant. Priced well if you ask me. The waiter (blonde shaggy hair) did a hell of a job keeping up with about 5 tables that all seated at once. Short wait for meals & the their gift shop was super cute with random souvenir things. 10/10 Recommend! read more

Over the last few years we have hoped for restaurant to succeed. The food quality and menu selections change dramatically with seasons , staff changes , and economics. Menu has become smaller , prices are high , service has declined . Understand it's for sale and going to keep the faith that a new ownership can keep it going . First - we love going here - fun atmosphere. Lately, we have ordered takeout and it's been a good experience. Today...ordered takeout and it was a very unpleasant experience. Ordered 2 pizzas for pickup. They said it will be ready in 20-25 mins. We went in to pickup about 30 mins after the call. My husband went in and gave our name, cashier replies with its not ready, he asked how much longer and cashier replied I don't know. He asked her to check and man, I guess that was too much to ask. She came back and said 10 more mins. He came out to our vehicle. I waited 10 mins and went back in. Stood at the checkout and not one person said a word...but the 5 people that walked up to get ice cream...helped right away. Someone finally asked if I wanted ice cream or was there for a pickup. They went and checked again, food still not ready. When the food finally did come out the cashier said here's your total, ran my card, handed it back and turned around and walked away. I asked for the manager's name - they went and got Trish, the manager. She came out and said "what's the problem, can I help you". I explained that the cashier was very unfriendly, and unprofessional. Response given to me - "well, we are really just busy and they can get stressed". I replied, I get stressed at work too but would not ever treat my customers that way. Probably need to revisit their hiring strategy or maybe invest in some customer service training. Get home, food was not correct. Such a shame...we've used to enjoy this place. read more

we went, we saw (not a bad location at all), we ate and then we left. I got the burger and fries and she got the fish tacos and fries. You can't mess up a frozen burger or fish sticks. So they were okay. A great burger can make a joint a lot of money in fast food money if they are prepared, cooked and served with skill. She liked her fries and I did not like mine. For us that are allergic to seafood, don't cook the fries in the same oil that you cook the fish in. We will not buy any food there again for the prices that we paid. Nor were we asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and we're damn good tippers and we left a good tip too. So we consumed the food quickly and exited as quickly. I'm sure that the place get's rolling with boats and customers rolling in to get off from the water for a quick bar/brunch meal/beverage. The bar is on a very good location. read more

We went on a Wednesday for fish tacos and truffle fries that we have been wanting to try. Out of both instead we got subpar cheeses sticks they call fried cheese and the Goat pizza blah. Nothing special To Write home about actually quite disappointing. Going to try on a weekend once. Sad you can't provide your menu during the week. Beautiful place right on the water just need to food to live up to its reputation. And had to go get the wait staff as they were talking to bartender I'm pretty sure she wasn't expecting us to be done so fast but the food was a complete let down read more

We love The Cove and dining on their massive outdoor seating area. Dined here for both lunch and dinner. The bison burger was really good! The pizzas are especially yummy and large enough to grab a to go box and take some home after. You can even pull up your boat or jet ski to their marina slips. They also have a few cute cottages that you can rent and enjoy their lake views. Service is outstanding. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about their extensive menu. Each time they have recommended a menu item it has been spot on delicious! The prices are on the high side but you pay for the view and the wonderful atmosphere. We will continue to come here every time we are visiting Cypress Springs Lake. read more

I love going to The Cove! Good food, drinks, and music. Try the 3 Little Pigs pizza (they even have a gluten free option that's tasty) and the Italian salad. Excellent! The bartenders provide excellent service as does the waitstaff. read more

I want them to succeed I really do and it started out once again very promising - new management w/good food & decent prices but both of those things have seemingly tapered off. We went to our favorite brunch because it has had the best food thus far but today was terrible. My son had the hot chicken & pancakes - there was no "hot" in the syrup or in the food & the chicken was devoid of flavor of any kind. When I tried it at my child's request I almost spit it out thinking it was raw bc the texture was so rubbery. My husband had the brunch burger and stated the patty & fries tasted & looked like a precooked frozen stuff. I had the monte Cristo French toast & it was ok. Not much flavor beyond the powdered sugar. I did have a signature bloody Mary that was fabulous. Our family loves The Cove. We've been going there for 10+ years before they rebranded and upgraded everything inside and out; it was great before, but we love it even more now with all of the improvements. We have a weekend/vacation house on Lake Cypress Springs and kids and adults alike love driving in our boat to the marina for lunch. The outdoor area is awesome, with huge fans set up to keep you cool even in the summer heat. Dog friendly patio with live music on the weekends in the summer. Tasty food and delicious cocktails. We are so grateful to have this gem on our lake! read more

It's a fun place to be with lots of tables, inside and out, plus things for the children to do. The food is good, as is the service.

EVERYONE was so nice, the location, the marina and the cabins were awesome and little touches like the toiletries and the logo cooler and the logo coffee mugs made it feel like we were at a resort.
